My family and I came here on vacation. It was the first time being out of the country for me. My husband and I chose this home due to it being in a nice quiet area. We both live very busy lives full of noise and many people. This trip was also a trip for me to meet my mother in law for the first time and for my husband to see his mom who he hasn’t seen in almost 20 years due to travel. I would always come back here in the future.

Property was beautiful and well kept. Very clean. Only negative was there was only one small window air conditioning unit for the whole house. The portable one in the closet made a god awful screeching noise and the ceiling dans clunked like they were gonna fall off the ceiling. Made for a pretty warm week. That’s the only complaint we had.

I rented this home to host a family dinner. The house itself is nicely decorated and the location is excellent.That said, what we found in the freezer was unacceptable.On the second day of our stay, my brother bought a bag of ice that would not fit in the freezer. When we rearranged items to make space, we discovered a large, extremely old hairball. This was not a small or recent mess. It was obvious it had been there for a long time and had not been cleaned.It was appalling and frankly made me sick.I requested a refund of the cleaning fee. The owner refused.Instead, they focused on the fact that I had unregistered guests at the home and stated they were choosing not to charge me for that. Apparently, having people over for dinner violates their rules. That is their right, but this restriction should be clearly disclosed on the booking page. Most people reasonably assume hosting a family dinner is allowed unless explicitly stated otherwise.What was most disappointing was not the rule itself. It was the response. Rather than apologizing for the condition of the freezer, the owner claimed that we must have brought the hairball in ourselves.That response tells you everything you need to know.Indian River is a beautiful area and I would absolutely recommend visiting. We had a wonderful weekend- what a great place!! Well stocked with every thing you would need. The outdoor deck and backyard were amazing!! Would for sure stay here again!

I was very pleased that the house was cool during some very hot summer days! It was my only concern, and the a/c in the living room kept the whole house cool, and the bedroom fan was great! A lovely home, would recommend.

Nice comfortable house. Good value for the money. Very nice relaxed neighborhood with people walking or the occasional golf cart. Easy few minutes walks to shops, restaurants, and grocery store. Small public beach down the block, with the town beach about 3 blocks walk. Beautiful lake. We would rent here again.

Nicr home vary relaxing. Location close to beach, resturants and many local activities. We used our stay to also visit U.P. attractions.

My family of 6 found this home to be very comfortable, clean, and accommodating. Close to beach access, the store, coffee, restaurants, and boat launches. The host was great to communicate with, and very friendly. We came for the Forth of July, and the parade and fireworks did not disappoint! I’ve been visiting IR since I was a baby and it is my favorite place to always come back to. While providing plenty activities of its own, only a short drive from Petoskey, Cheyboygan, Mackinaw City, and just a few hours from Pictures Rocks, it is situated in the perfect spot.

This was a great house in a really nice location. Close to Devoe Beach/park and a great jumping off point for day trips around northern Michigan. Easy walk to grocery store, ice cream and restaurants. We loved this neighborhood!

Went mushroom hunting and stayed here with family. Had a great time and very nice house.

Great property. Updated and clean. Plenty of room. Stayed with our 16 and 18 year old kids and all enjoyed it.

We appreciate Indian River's central location for trips to surrounding towns as we build our new home in Cheboygan, MI.Maison Bleu is an ideal place to stay. It is conveniently located near dining options, a coffee shop, and a grocery store. The bed and living room seating were comfortable. We also loved the creative vibe throughout the house.Mike was a responsive and gracious host. We're already planning our next visit.

It was clean and had everything that we needed. Nice large bathroom with a shower and tub. Beds were very comfortable. Great location. Very nicely furnished. Kitchen was huge and appliances were very nice. Beautiful location.

Nice house and area! True to what listing showed. Close beach access was great! Only thing I would have preferred is window coverings on kitchen window and back door. Property is close to the road and I prefer window coverage especially at night. Just a personal preference for me.

Mike's property is absolutely beautiful. Just a short walk to the water and close to town, a perfect location! We loved the license plate artwork! Such a comfortable, lovely stay. We would recommend Mike's place to anyone!

This place is such a cute little house that is newly renovated. It was really clean as well. The back yard is beautiful! I wish we would have had time to enjoy the deck. I’ll definitely be back.

It was absolutely wonderful

We stayed here and commuted to Mackinaw city for the day. This older home has nice cozy feeling. The beds are comfortable and my wife loved the soaking tub. The host was prompt at responding back to the question that I had about the grill onsite. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The only complaint was we arrived at 9:30 pm and the outside motion light wasn’t bright at all we had to due with cell phone flash lights.

We loved our stay!! It was the perfect place for our family of 5. Beds were so comfy, location was excellent, and only a short distance to a beautiful sandy beach. The house was clean and accommodating, and the soak tub was my favorite!!! We will absolutely be back!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is remodeled nicely, and was very comfortable. Mike was great, responding to a few questions that we had very quickly. Mike has though of just about everything as far as making the place feel like home and have everything we could possibly need during our stay. The location was perfect. Indian River is 25 minutes from Cheboygan, Mackinaw, and Petoskey. That means plenty of places to wander and explore and great restaurants as well. We also enjoyed wandering the quiet and friendly neighborhood. It's a short walk to the city beach and to the shops and restaurants on main street. Thanks, Mike for making our stay and our Northern Lower Michigan vacation so relaxing and fun.

Some of our family was able to get together at a perfect location. The house was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. Loved that the water was well within walking distance and lived the beach access. We went to the beach, Cross in the Woods and Vivios for dinner. Wish we had more time there. Would definitely come back.

Super clean home. Beautifully decorated ( well minus the toothless man and woman pics they were a bit freaky) loved the layout loved the space. So so so clean and well taken care of. Loved the gardens and the patio and the patio lights . The games closet and yard games were awesome. Beds comfy . Anyone would love the location .highly. Recommend this gem !

Cozy and clean place to stay. We’re a family of four and there was plenty of room. Each of us commented of how comfortable the beds were and we all slept great. This place has everything you could ask for and is located in a quiet and friendly little neighborhood with lots to do in the surrounding areas. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and we would definitely consider booking again.

This place was amazing. Great stay. Family was at the state park which was within walking distance. Awesome place
