We stayed for four nights while fishing our crappie club fall classic. The location is great and the house is as deacribed. We really enjoyed the outdoor covered seating area. I give it 5 stars, and would recommend!
Once again, we had a great time. Painless check in and out and had everything we needed.
The property is listed more as a hunting & fishing lodge& was probably adequately clean for a group of men of that mindset. Mainly I thought front porch area could use a cleaning & maybe a small bistro set for sitting outside for a smoke. My biggest issue was the tar pit right next to the house, it was fenced off & safe but the smell everywhere outside was insurmountable. Overpowering. Didn't help that I came down with stomach flu or food poisoning for the entire trip and then some.
Older home remodeled, nicely done, every thing worked.
Quiet location, good (local) restaurants in the area. Bonne Cafe up the road was a highlight. Very quiet.
Great house and host next time I am bringing more friends !!
Our daughter found this house and asked to stay for a weekend and do some fishing for her 13th birthday. Brought our 2 Labrador dogs. Would definitely recommend this place for a quick little get away. Nice quiet area with no touristy attractions but some good restaurants.
Perfect location for everything we had to do that weekend. Info and pictures on this place is very accurate. Very private and comfortable. Only draw backs that I noticed was the highway and interstate traffic noise and the oil smell next to us. Of course the wind was out of that direction. Otherwise the place is nice and a quaint little getaway.
The house was okay. Grass super long got cut while we were there and lawn trimming so long we couldn’t play yard games. No wash clothes or dish towels. Refrigerator needed to be cleaned. Dead bugs on window sill and on front porch. Not worth the money.
Had everything we needed!!
It was a great place to relax. There was a beach close by, so we enjoyed spending our mornings there.
We loved the house. Unfortunately we had to leave a day early due to boat troubles, but the accommodations were perfect. Will be staying here again!
