Everything was great except super thin walls. Can hear everything if you know what I mean. No sleep and very annoying. If your neighbors are respectful I’d imagine it would be great.
Very nice 3 night stay here. Conviently close to Friday Harbour. Walked into town to do everything but tour the island. A little small if you are a larger build but quaint, clean, and convenient. Parking was easy as well.
My sister lives on the island and said this was an abandoned building. They did a great job restoring it. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. The deck had a tremendous view over looking the harbor. It was close to down town and I recommend VIC's for breakfast (only open M-F).
We stayed 2 nights (Wed/Thurs) in mid-July. Wonderful, clean, quiet room with an unbeatable view of Friday Harbor. Nice private balcony. Only suggestions would be to install some room darkening roman shades on the balcony doors (room was WAY too bright for us early in the morning!) and provide some larger/plusher bath towels. Nit-picky stuff...we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Excellent for the price.
We loved the total experience. The outside is quaint and inviting and the inside is immaculate. The view is mesmerizing as you are able to relax and watch all the marina activity including ferry boats, seaplanes and fishing boats right from your deck. Highly recommend.
Overall. Cleanest room in a very long time. Loved the view.
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cute! Lovely entry way, perfect location, easy to walk from the marina and town. Comes with a fridge and some tea/ instant coffee. I brought my own “coffee” filled tea bags that I travel with occasionally. My favorite part was the balcony overlooking the marina and the communal patio with marina view as well. I don’t think another place has such a great view for coffee in the morning!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and views from the shared deck can't be beat and the management team is very helpful. Due to a date conflict on my end, we were moved from the Chelan to the Hyak. Management was very flexible about the change. One detraction of the Hyak room is that the cherry tree right in front of the deck is now tall enough to obscure the view- it should be pruned down to prevent this obstruction from getting worse. Also, there is another tree behind that one that has dead branches that further obscure the view of the harbor. Those should be cut away for the view and the health of the tree. Walls are terminally thin- I wish that they could be better insulated, as you can hear your neighbor's conversations, TV, alarms, etc. But having stayed here before and knowing what we're in for, we still can't beat the views and location, and will come back, hopefully to some trimmed trees.
The property is located a fairly easy walking distance from the ferry in Friday Harbor and offered a well equipped, modern studio, with large bathroom and a deck to enjoy views of the harbor. Parking was readily available during our stay, but is shared street parking. There are four rooms close together, two on each side of a hallway, which lessens the feeling of privacy if the other patrons are more jubilant. The deck overlooking the marina has a limited barrier with the deck of the other room (raised flower box). Overall our stay was relaxing and comfortable and we were even able to take advantage of the 10% off a kayaking trip. Would love to stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This little unit overlooking Friday harbor is fantastic! The view from the deck was amazing, and the unit itself was just as advertised - cute, clean, and in a perfect location. I would definitely stay here again!
Our first trip to Friday Harbor and we selected the Hyak room for our stay. Great location and view. Excellent access to the port yet far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle. The bed was comfortable and an upgrade to king size would make all the difference for this suite. Additionally, if you’re sensitive to light when you sleep, the light from the hallway coming from under the door illuminates the room. Come prepared or use the doormat to block the light coming in.
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Aesthetically, this place is super cute and really clean. We stayed in the Hyatt room and the deck was awesome with a beautiful view of the harbor. Unfortunately, that’s where the good things end. ..- This building was NOT built to be a ‘hotel’. The walls are super thin, but even worse, the doors are hollow core with a huge gap between the door and the floor. We could make out every word of every conversation that all 3 of our ‘roommates’ said. Luckily, we’re heavy sleepers, so it didn’t disrupt our sleep, but I don’t know that our ‘roommates’ all had the same experience. Management is obviously aware it’s an issue because there’s a bucket of earplugs in the room!! Wow! - Entry to the hotel is managed by a keypad. Which was not unique in any way. I easily figured out the pattern and knew what everyone’s code was (tested the theory on the main door, not the individual doors). That would be fine...except there wasn’t a deadbolt on the door! If I had been staying alone, I would not have felt safe knowing if anyone else figured out the super simple pattern, they could easily be in my room. Eeek.- While there were blinds on the deck doors for privacy, they didn’t block a single ounce of light. Simply hanging blackout curtains or replacing the blinds that are there with blackout blinds would make a huge difference. We were up at 5am when the sun came up whether we wanted to be or not. So, all of that being said, if you’re ok with the few negative things I’ve listed above, it’s a cute little place in a good location. We will definitely be back to Friday Harbor, but we will not be returning to the Cannery Inn until they fix the list above.
Great location, clean, easy to access, very nice place. Highly recommend.
