Stayed Aug 23, 2025Well maintained 5-bedroom house with plenty of room. Large bedrooms, Open concept living area with a dining area easily capable of for 8 people. Great deck going the length of the front house with a view of a salt pond and beautiful sunsets. All my favorite beaches and restaurants within minutes or others 15 minutes away or so. Great for families or adults. Very quiet neighborhood. I once owned in Narragansett and then rented. Have vacationed there for over 50 years. This place is a gem, especially with responsive owners who take pride in their home. Definitely would like to go back.

Stayed Aug 16, 2025Great location, good value, and great communication with the owner. Worked perfectly for our group (two families with multiple kids 4-8yrs old). Will definitely look to return next year.

Stayed Aug 2, 2025Great location, but the property itself is not kept up. While it was relatively clean, the home was not well appointed, with very little furniture or comforts of a home to enjoy (e.g., no bedside tables or lamps in any of the rooms). We were very concerned about the safety of the deck, which was extremely unstable and bouncy. We had children in our group and I was very very concerned that the balcony was going to fall the entire week. Windows and window frames were broken in many of the rooms due to rot and the subfloors in bathrooms were compromised and bouncing. If you are just looking for a crash pad, this is a good spot, but I would just want to let other families know of some of the safety concerns we noted.

Stayed Jul 12, 2025The location and neighborhood was wonderful. Couldn't have been better for what we were looking for. The size of the rooms and layout were great. A few of the bed mattresses were very firm. Overall, we had a great time and were very satisfied with the property.

Stayed Aug 25, 2024The house is very spacious, clean, light and well appointed. It is in a quiet cul-de-sac with a view of the bay from the balcony, where we loved watching sunsets. It is just 5 minutes from our favorite beach, Salty Brine in Galilee, with soft sand, quiet and crystal clear water, and yummy lobster rolls! We also took the ferry to Block Island, as well as a fishing trip, from there. We loved walking the scenic coastline by Black Point, also 5 minutes from the house, as well as the Narragansett Sea Wall. Further afield, we enjoyed Ninigret Park, Newport mansions and New Bedford.

Stayed Jun 3, 2024We had family coming from Texas, my two brothers, and wanted an opportunity to meet in RI where we grew up. A wonderful house, owners and area! Our nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and great nieces were able to come at different times and enjoy a peaceful, loving time together! Definitely would rent from Alan and his wife again!

Stayed Aug 26, 2023Plus side -The house was clean (I did wash all the mattress pads as they didn't look clean) and kitchen was well equiped. House was in a quiet neighborhood and within 5 -10 minutes driving to Scarborough Beach and Stop & Shop. My only complaint was that decor was quite lacking! The 4 bedrooms down stairs and nothing besides a bed and dresser - no bedside tables or lamps, only an overhead ceiling light. One lamp in the living room! I bought a new tablecloth for the dining table down the street at Homegoods as the one on it was sticky and had holes. Another plus was the big dining room table that sat ten - great for dinners and playing cards.
