Stayed Oct 2, 2025Great place for fishing. But the drive is steep and can be hard to park in the dark. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

Stayed Jul 3, 2025Host was very helpful answered my questions, allowed to bring boat along. It was July 4 th weekend, there at the boathouse the water was 4 feet deep, plenty for our swimmers and to park boat at dock. At the boathouse there is an attached deck for those working on tans. If the goal is to spend some needed relaxing and playtime at the river, this rental is recommended. 10 minutes or less to boat ramp off Hwy 72 in Rogersville, 20 minutes to Athens.

Stayed Jun 26, 2025Every summer we take a family trip with cousins. This year we chose Alabama. I am so glad we stayed here! The property and lake are beautiful. There was enough space for everyone. The neighbors were so nice! Communication was 100% great with the host. We normally don’t stay in the same place twice but my kids are already asking to go back.

Stayed May 1, 2025Everything we needed in one place. Very clean, thank goodness because one of ours is a germifobe. Oh and you don't have to bring your own ice. There is a great icemaker.Didnt get to fish much or kayak like we wanted too because it rained too much, but we were able to visit on the lovely covered deck and play games in a comfortable atmosphere. Very attentive hostest. Left us a welcome gjift . You may want to bring an air mattress just in case. While the beds were okay for some of us they were too hard for others. Overall a great time was had by all. Thank you Cecile.

Stayed Feb 21, 2025This is a spacious home located on a scenic section of the Elk River. Guests may want to be aware that the road in to the property is rural and may not be suitable for all vehicles. Also the driveway is steep, so it's probably not ideal for those with elderly or limited mobility guests. Overall, an excellent place to unwind in a quiet and scenic waterfront environment. Also, it's a little ways out of town, so be sure to bring what you need with you as stores and restaurants are a few miles away. The hosts are great and the property is very well maintained and comfortable.

Stayed Nov 27, 2024We loved the location! We were right on the water. Nothing more peaceful than watching the sun come up over the water with that first cup of coffee! The house was perfect for our family. Cecile is the best property manager!
