Waterfront Bliss: Wheeler Lake Retreat w/ Dock!

The house is lovely with fabulous lake views. The kitchen is well equipped and we were very comfortable there. Would definitely stay there again if we have the opportunity.

The best years of my life was visiting family in this area and spending time on the lake with my dad. This was the perfect place to relive those memories with family.

We stayed for a week while our child attended Space Camp and had a wonderful, relaxing week. The house has beautiful views with plenty of places to enjoy, including a screened in porch and outside deck. The house was impeccably clean, kitchen was well-appointed and the communication with the host was excellent.

We have stayed in many home rentals in the area and this one was easily our #1. Beautiful house... thoughtful owners... outstanding lake view... fantastic weather watching... and Lucy's BARge down the street had great music! Highly recommend....

I cannot say enough about our experience at 5354 Bay Shore Drive, Athens, Alabama. From the time we arrived at the lake house until we departed, everything was great. The location was perfect as it was close enough to the stores and yet isolated enough (directly on the Lake) from all the hustle and bustle of the traffic. The cleanliness of the home was excellent. Everything from the furniture to the appliances was modern. The 3 bedrooms with 3.5 bathrooms were large and spacious with sleeping space for our group. The bathrooms were equipped with clean towels, soap, shampoo, and there were extra towels in the laundry room that were equipped with a washer and dryer. The kitchen was equipped with glassware, dishware, pots, pans, and a cabinet of spices. From the cozy blankets to a fully stocked kitchen, every detail was considered with care. The large windows (especially in the dining area) offered breathtaking views, and the outdoor deck was the ultimate place to relax, whether you are grilling or stargazing. Waking up to the sounds of the lake and sipping coffee while watching the sunrise over the water was spectacular. I would recommend this location to others. The group wants to revisit next year!

The hosts were incredibly kind and responsive, making us feel welcome from start to finish.We are planning our return!!!

Oh goodness this place will wow you. As soon as you open the door, it’s panoramic river views in every room. The homeowners have thought through every detail and provide all the information in one spot digitally (!) for you to easily reference before, during, and after. We had a mini reunion with college friends and the house was perfect. All the open space made it possible to keep everyone together and the deck over the dock made outside gatherings fun too. We even managed to snag a couple bass. The views are stunning. The owners will spoil you. The house has ample amenities. You’ll love this place
