WATERFRONT! Pool! Nature's Oasis on the Island

The house was just what we hoped. The area was convenient to downtown (15 minutes or less) and to Offatts Bayou. We docked our boat with no issues. Communications were prompt and helpful. Just a very pleasant short trip, we expect to return

Great location. Quiet area to sit and enjoy the sunrise. House had everything you need. This is the perfect place for a large family to enjoy.

Hand towels would have been nice, in the bathrooms, the small space between the commode and wall in master bath, should have been noted, if we were to have been larger people, there is no way we could have used it. It would have been nice if the Light switches were labeled, and some light bulbs were out. Very old house

Pet Friendly, Great location for fishing. To cold to use pool during our stay, We would stay again.

Had a very enjoyable stay. On the dock Fishing was great. Could use some pole holders. Also Took a pop up canopy and worked perfect on the dock. The bottom level is great. Open area, we set up a fold up table down there and played cards and dominos. Would def recommend for a family that likes to fish and swim.

Very peaceful and comfortable atmosphere! Short drive to the Sea Wall and beaches, the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in, excellent water pressure, very homey feeling! The dolphin sightings right from the back yard, and sea turtle feeding from the dock was a major highlight. The pool was a bit chilly as our trip was in October, BUT we still thoroughly enjoyed it with the kiddos. Painting on the balcony during down time was a mental reset that was much needed and enjoyed as well, and the sun rise view is gorgeous! We will definitely book again, our short amount of time was NOT long enough!

It was very nice and clean. We had everything we need the kitchen and house were well stocked for us. They replied quickly to any questions and were helpful.

This was a wonderful quiet property! Had an amazing Anniversary here with my husband. House was clean and pretty much anything you need in the kitchen for cooking. The pool was nice and the deck for just chilling out on. Highly recommend this one!

Lovely little gem. Perfect for a quiet escape to relax. Private fishing and swimming were ideal, and the vegetation lining both sides of the back of the property adds to the sense of peace and seclusion/privacy. Beds were SO comfy. Observing wildlife in the preserve across the street from the property was lovely also. Very convenient location to order in or go into town for food and fun. We sent a few messages to the hosts along the way, who replied promptly and were most helpful. We greatly enjoyed our stay and hope to book again.

The best feature of this vacation home is easily the backyard. Part of our group preferred fishing, and the other half preferred the pool. It worked out perfectly that we could all do what we wanted and still feel like we were together.The pool is perfect for adults and children as it slopes from 2-5 feet deep. My 4-year-old niece could easily stand in the shallow end. Our group caught many fish off the pier. Each side of the backyard is bordered by thick vegetation, so it feels very private. One of the full bathrooms is downstairs, making it easily accessible from the backyard. The upstairs living area was comfortable, there was plenty of room for everyone in the living room. Two couples did shared one of the full baths, but everything worked out great. Everyone had a great time, and we would definitely stay here again!

This is the second time we stayed at this house. It has a great fenced in yard for our dog and the pool is great. It is in a very quiet neighborhood, too. We loved it!

This place had something for everyone! The pier/dock was so awesome! We caught a lot of croakers and Pin fish using shrimp bait. Everything that we needed was provided for and attended to :) great place for families or couples!

Fishing was great the view and pool loved it definitely recommend and we will be booking this one again.

My friend and I just wanted a quick get-a-way and hadn't been to Galveston for a while. It was close to good restaurants and Moody Gardens. So, we had a very pleasant visit.

Our family has been going to Galveston for 3 years now for Easter. The property was in a great spot. We did a lot of fishing from the dock, great space for our dog to run and be outside, and our child loved the pool. Will look at renting again in the future.

Communication is super, however the floor was icky. Couch had crumbs and feels itchy as well as the beds. The minute we open the door the house looks dark and eerie. Just my opinion if the house decor look more vibrant in lighter color guest would step in and feel more comfortable.

We chose this property for the amazing views. It did not disappoint!! We wanted to get away from our daily activities to have time to unwind and decompress from our high stress jobs and have a kid free/spouse free weekend. We stopped at a local HEB (grocery store) 20 min from the house to stock up on food and beverages. We enjoyed the beautiful TX fall weather with views from the dock and pool area, as well as the water reserve area located in front of the home. The owners were attentive and easy to communicate with. There is an easy to follow guide binder in the living room that includes the history of Galveston, check out procedures, local places to dine, and more. They even have a quick QR code as you come up the stairs to the main living space for Wifi access. The property is spacious and I look forward to bringing the family for a vacation getaway, as there is plenty of room for all of us. Highly recommend this property!!!!!

Check in and communication are excellent and timely. Home is cozy but roomy. All the amenities as listed. Pool was really nice but the pier!!!! The pier was amazing for mornings and sunsets and all the family fishing in between. Hope to visit again in April.

Our stay at the Tree Frog was amazing and the property manager was beyond helpful and kind through our entire renting process. The backyard is a literal paradise that makes you feel like you’ve traveled to Bermuda. When you look up, you realize both only r you in the tropics but the beautiful wonderland of the serene canal with the fish jumping, hundreds of birds frolicking and airplanes and boats passing by gingerly. It’s just gorgeous. No complaints. The home fit 10 of us with no problem. The basement, where you enter is so spacious with a huge sofa set that 20 people could sleep down there (don’t do that though!! lol). As you proceed upstairs and look at the unbelievable view, you know you’ve picked the right place. Three bedrooms upstairs and 3 full bathrooms (one down and two up) is wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about h the e Richey’s and their lovely home. (Advice….beauty to read the notebook they’ve left, full of hints and tricks and history and fun). Thank you for a lovely stay.

This location is great. No through traffic, easy access to anywhere in downtown via Harborside or 61st. We enjoyed the pool and fishing from the dock. If you bring a boat to Galveston this would be a great choice.. as it has a marina nearby and easy bay access

We had a great time staying here for an end of summer family vacation. We had grandparents, two kids (9 and 13) and our pets with us! We really enjoyed the pool, fishing off the dock, and taking our inflatable kayaks out for a spin on the canal. When we needed a break from the sun we watched movies, played board games, and visited in the living room and at the table. It was also a plus having a short drive to Moody Gardens, the beach, and the Strand. Two thumbs up for very comfortable beds and a fun bunk bed in the kids’ room.The hosts are so helpful and quick to respond. We will be back!

While you can see that the property has been cleaned there are obviously steps that are being skipped. Absolutely none of the bed linens had been laundered in at least several stays. They were very dirty with many different types of hair in beds as well as used napkins. We had to wash before we could sleep. Host did communicate and send cleaners next day. No apologies though. Implied we weren’t being honest by sending clean house pictures. I have pictures of beds.
