For your family enjoyment, this 6,000 sq. ft riverfront retreat offers panoramic water views and breathtaking sunsets over looking miles of the ElkRiver. It is a perfect property to have family reunions and celebrate holidays together. Kitchen is fully equipped to cook holiday dinners.
Nestled on 5.5 acres on top of a 40 feet bluff above the water you will enjoy the waterfront lifestyle. From this vista, the river appears to be more like a lake with the sun kissing the water in the evening. The property has approximately 400 feet of waterfront, and a 120 foot dock. The manicured estate starts as you pass through the large brick double gates down the illuminated tree-lined driveway that changes color with every season. You will enjoy the outdoor park-like activity areas which include: regulation pickleball court coming mid fall 2025, tetherball, basketball, horse shoes, fire pit, fire table, barbecue areas, landscaped bridge, children's playground with swing set, picnic tables, 2 two person kayaks with life vests, scenic track for running or walking that meanders throughout the property, and professionally landscaped areas which complement the Chesapeake Bay's setting and ambiance. Internet and Wifi will be available to you.The home has been completely updated with fresh paint and new furniture and lighting fixtures. In the warmer months, sit by the in-ground pool and enjoy the amazing sunset views. In the cooler months, enjoy time gathering with family to play games in the cozy mahogany library, get warm by the large fire pit area, fire pit table, or one of the two indoor fireplaces, relax in the new 7 person hot tub overlooking the water, visit nearby attractions and restaurants, or cook in the gourmet kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, casserole and baking dishes, 2 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators, and a Scotsman ice maker with large slow melting cubes.

The home is conveniently located and is a short 10 minute drive to Chesapeake City that has shops and restaurants by the water, a 25 minute drive to Christiana Mall that hosts a wide array of shopping of all kinds, 20 miles to the casino at Delaware Park, and a 20 minute drive to North East where there are shops and restaurants. There are several golf courses and a batting center nearby as well. It is also very close to a large variety of grocery stores, restaurants, fresh seafood store, liquor stores, and a roadside market in the warmer months.

Living room offers updated comfortable leather furniture, fireplace, 65 inch art tv and amazing views of the water. Theater Room has new comfortable leather seating with 100 inch cable TV, DVD player with a large selection of DVD's, beautiful water views, and blackout curtains for watching movies. Large mahogany library with fireplace. This room is perfect for playing games, reading, or enjoying cocktails before or after dinner.

Kitchen:
The gourmet kitchen offers a gas oven with 6 burner gas cooktop, 2 large refrigerators with freezers, bar fridge, a 2 drawer fridge under the Island, 2 dishwashers, Scotsman ice maker with large slow melting cubes. The kitchen has recently been completely upgraded and has granite island for meal prep, bar area for serving and extra storage, toaster, blender, Kitchen Aid stand mixer, food processor, Keurig and standard coffee maker, foreman grill, and crock pot. The fully stocked kitchen offers dishes for 16 or more, large selection of pots and pans, serving platters and bowls, bakeware, tools for grilling, and electric roaster upon request.

Indoor Dining:
Dining room table seats 10, kitchen table seats 8, 4 bar stools at the kitchen island, all with fabulous views of the water.

Outdoor Dining:
Seating for 12 in 3 season room with panoramic views of the water and also has a separate seating area and kids picnic table. There is an outdoor table with seating for six that sits under a pergola, and multiple picnic tables throughout the property. There is a fire table with 6 Adirondack chairs that can be used for an additional dining space. 6 additional adirondack chairs overlooking the water.

Bedrooms:
Bedroom 1
Large primary bedroom with comfortable King size bed, fabulous views of the water, sitting area, and large full en suite bathroom with shower. 65inch TV. It also has a queen pull out sofa.

Bedroom 2

Bedroom 3 Queen size bed with partial view of the water. Full bathroom with tub and shower are next to this bedroom.

Bedroom 4: One bunk bed with full and single bed, one bunk with two single beds offering sleeping for 5. Full bathroom with shower directly across the hall from this bedroom.

Bedroom 5: King size bed with view of the front of the property, full en suite bathroom with tub and shower. 50 inch TV


Bedroom 6
Queen bed with one of the best views in the house. This room is an indoor walk through to one of the primary bedrooms. Primary bedroom has an outdoor entrance that can be used if privacy is needed in this bedroom. Full bathroom with shower and tub are beside this room.

Bedroom 7 :
Private cedar house complete with queen bed, couch, microwave, beverage fridge and TV. There is no bathroom, but it is a very short walk to the house. This is perfect for a young couple, or teenagers that want privacy. It does have heating and air conditioning but cannot accommodate extreme heat or cold temperatures so it may not always be available. It smells like cedar so you have to like that smell to stay there.

Pickleball: Regulation pickleball court with water views.

Swimming Pool:
Swimming pool with amazing views of the river. Pool will open in Mid-May and close in Sept depending on weather. Heating is not guaranteed in extreme temperatures. Life vests are provided.

Hot tub with water views.

Water Sports:
2 2 seater Kayaks. Feel free to bring your own. 120 ft dock is perfect for fishing, crabbing, and sun bathing. Dock can be used to dock your boat or jet ski however lifts are not available for use. You will be responsible for any damage caused by docking there. Discuss with property manager planning on bringing a boat as some boats are too large for low tide (3 ft.)
There are 2 marinas close by that will rent boat slips. One is North East River Marina located 16.7 miles from the River House that offers boat slips, (nightly or weekly rentals), pontoon boat rentals, a chartered 50 ft luxury cruiser that holds 10 people that allows you to customize your trip, and single and double kayaks. It is recommended that you reserve well in advance so that you assure availability. The other one is Locust Point Marina and it only rents boat slips.

Rental does not include access to the garages, sheds, or cottage. Property managers live in the cottage to help you with check in, oversee maintenance of the property grounds, and to promptly address any problems that you may have during your stay. They may or may not be living on site during your stay but are available 24 hours a day should you need assistance or have questions. Please be assured that you will have complete privacy and full use of all of the amenities without any interference. For added safety the outside of the property has security cameras that will only be viewed if there is a problem. There is no ongoing monitoring of these cameras, and there are NO active cameras inside the home during your stay.
