My family and I had a wonderful week (birthday/family vacay) the location was wonderful the house was wonderful everything was just wonderful. Very kid and family friendly! The only bad thing was we only only stayed a week? Kathy was very helpful and anything we needed to know she was on point! Thanks for the wonderful vacation?
This property was truly amazing. House was furnished beautifully and well stocked with essentials. Loved that it had a Gazebo on the water and a little beach area to dip your toes in the water. We would definitely book again when we visit St. Michaels.
The property was beautiful, and everything was very well maintained and immaculate, so well provisioned, we hardly needed to bring any kitchen or bath supplies. We enjoyed the views of the Tred Avon River. The location is secluded, but only a short trip into St Michaels, Easton, and Oxford. The owners’ excellent taste is very well represented by the decor.
Thank you, Kathy, for a great family vacation. The house is beautiful and spacious. 4 bedrooms (3 with a queen and 1 with 2 singles). Great water views with your own private dock, beach, and gazebo. Kathy was awesome to work with, very responsive and helpful. The kitchen is well appointed and good for cooking. Quiet little neighborhood in walking distance of the ferry to Oxford and it's accompanying park/playground. Easy drive to St. Michael's and Easton. Thanks again Kathy. We'll be back.
The house is perfect for families or small groups of friends. The location has a beautiful view of the river and is within walking distance of the ferry to Oxford. A short drive to St. Michael's or Easton for dining and shopping, too. It was well-stocked with all types of supplies, has a very spacious finished basement and was well furnished. We had a great long weekend!
Excellent location and view. The home was clean and plenty of room for 6 men on a hunting trip. Well worth the cost and we will be booking again for our next trip.
We're from a landlocked area of New York, so the thought of jellyfish didn't enter our minds until the 4th or 5th sting. Look down, we're swarmed! We were looking to go swimming and fishing, so that was a big disappointment. Other than that, the house was pretty much as described in the listing and everything was quite clean. When we were there it was not very well set up for young kids (ant traps out on the floor, lots of cords, and lamps/electronics that looked like the could be easily knocked down or damaged). The kitchen could've used some larger cookware to suit a crowd. The view was beautiful and it was a short drive to the picturesque towns. The property manager addressed our no-power issue within a few hours, and we had pretty quick responses from her overall.
Great view but house needs a little tlc inside and outside
It is a really great somewhat secluded location with a direct access to the water. The house was very clean, spacious and well equipped. Special thanks for the outdoor smoker - made our dinners much more delicious. It was a great fishing from the dock and a small private beach was a nice addition. We brought our kayaks and had no problems with launching them. We enjoyed our stay very much and will consider this property in future.
We stayed at this property from Aug 2 to Aug 6, 2022. Our party consisted of my husband and me, another couple, and three teenage boys. We had ample space for everyone. This house is in a very convenient location, a short drive to St. Michael’s and a short ferry ride to Oxford, both charming towns to explore, with options for dining, museums, and other activities. The teens did a day trip to Ocean City. The adults went on the Patriot boat tour in St. Michael’s, which was nice. I love to kayak, so my husband and I trekked to the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, about 50 minutes away, and paddled on their Green Paddle Trail. On a different day, I started a kayak trip right off the shore in front of the house. My route: Turn left (north) and paddle along the shore until you come to a duck blind. Veer slightly left to enter Tar Creek. You can paddle to its end and see plenty of bald eagles. Continue paddling in and out of the coves of Tar Creek and Plaindealing Creek further north. The water is calm, and although you’re not truly in a wild area, the shoreline gives that impression in places. I saw lots of small birds and herons. Do be aware that swimming from the shore is not always possible depending on the jellyfish. Some days we saw a lot and some days very few. I wish we had brought fishing equipment to fish off the dock. Our favorite thing to do was chill out in the gazebo each night. Overall, this lovely property served our needs well and I would recommend it.
We loved fishing from the dock and playing in the fun back yard. House was clean and very well equipped. Very comfortable for 2 Adults and 3 teen boys.
We spent a long weekend at this waterfront home, which is very spacious and well appointed. It even has an indoor elevator, between the basement area and the bedrooms on the second floor. The kitchen was missing some items that we needed, but the agent was very accommodating in providing what we requested. The house is located in a neighborhood of private high end homes, quiet lane, with very nice outdoor furnishings, gazebo, hot tub, dock, and even a small beach. Walking distance to the Oxford ferry, for an outing to their well known ice cream shop. All in all, a very relaxing weekend and earmarked for a repeat visit.
