Stayed Mar 22, 2025House - an older house but a good amount of space and good amount of beds. It can feel dated, although updates have been made through some of the house. Kitchen could use some better pans. Overall it was sufficient for our family. Property- on a nice quiet street with a good restaurant at the end. a very big yard with amazing waterfront and palm trees, with many iguana. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and caught at least 5 different types of fish, including mangrove snapper and barracuda. A deep freezer located right by the water was really convenient to keep bait. We loved spending mornings watching the sun rise and saw a manatee on the last day and possibly an alligator. It's a great area around which to kayak. The kids played pool a few times on the pool table. The hot tub could use work as it seems the circulating pump was either clogged or not working, but soaking was nice. Amenities - there are some big pluses in some amenities that come with the house, but take them with a grain of salt. There are 7 bikes there, but maybe 2-3 of them are serviceable. There are about 4 kayaks, including a Jon boat that our family of 5 got in, but also one of them had a hole in the bottom (the one with the clear bottom). There are some fishing poles but most were broken; I made one good one out of pieces of others. I'm glad these things were here; I just want to set expectations.Location - great location on Marathon. I could easily bike to 7 mile bridge. Very close to Publix.

Stayed Dec 21, 2024The house and property were perfect for my family’s needs. Everything we needed was provided. The evening temps were cool so the hot tub was great! We had our dinghy with us and had easy access to the water. We plan to book again and bring our trawler!

Stayed Jul 6, 2024Our family enjoyed staying there. My 11 year old loved the fishing and pool table. Loved the fenced in yard for the dogs. It does seem like an older house but with that in mind we were comfortable there. We would stay here again.

Stayed Mar 23, 2024Plenty of room inside for 6 adults and pets. The kitchen was more than sufficient for us to make all of our meals. We caught 10 different species of fish right off of the dock. Excellent location for paddleboarding. We enjoyed the mangrove protected lagoon on windy days, and so did 5 different manatees! If you are a fan of planes, as we are, there are plentiful varieties during the day. It felt a little like an EAA fly in. The home is very quiet and we never heard the planes in the morning or evening if inside the home. All in all, we definitely would stay here again.

Stayed Dec 9, 2023First of all, we LOVE this house! There are some things I’d handle to make the experience for my tenants better though. First of all, that rug under the dining room table has been there since we first rented this house in 2020. To say it is nasty would be an understatement. Secondly, my husband, my eldest son & his wife & my youngest son and his partner were all fairly pleased with the rooms UNTIL someone had to sleep on one of the twin beds in the spare bedroom. One really can’t even call what they slept on a mattress. You can literally feel the springs just by pushing down on what they are using for a mattress, it was more like they were sleeping on a box spring. For the amount of rent charged for this house, but a new mattress!!! Third, a deep clean once a year needs to happen. The back of the louvered door for one of the bedrooms is disgusting. There are cobwebs on the walls. The spare bedroom with the twin beds was not as dirty as some I have stayed at but was not as clean as the other two bedrooms. Now for the things that are not as big of a deal in my mind: it rained at least half the time we were there, I usually bring some board games but forgot. A couple of board games or Uno or something would be nice for those days when folks can’t spend their time outside. Also, maybe an air fryer. The kitchen is WELL equipped, however. The dishwasher does need to be screwed in so be aware of that or it could tumble forward on you, we cook most all our meals.
