This property was such a wonderful stay for us and our friends. Our kids had a great time, exploring the critter trail and playing fooseball and other games!It’s a very beautifully designed house and the artistic nature was so inspiring and unique. The tea house, the view from the rooms and a comfortable atmosphere made our stay perfect and peaceful. One suggestion- it’ll be good to know that the road leading to the house is unpaved, narrow and dark at night. We reached at almost midnight coz of the ferry schedule and were a little skeptical about where we were going as we could barely see anything or anyone else around other than the forest.We would definitely stay here again though!

We stayed at Stonecliff and the home was hands down the most beautiful and well appointed home we’ve ever experienced thru VRBO. We were are very comfortable. We watched a pair of eagles every morning as we enjoyed our coffee. In the evenings we enjoyed the hot tub and then the fireplace inside. I strongly recommend this home for anyone wanting a truly wonderful experience in the gorgeous San Juan Islands.

Such a thoughtful and beautiful home! We appreciated the kitchen with every item we needed to cook our whole stay, the comfortable beds and luxurious bathrooms. The waterfront views were beautiful for seeing lots of land and water animals. Also was convenient to driving around the island to enjoy local businesses. They had many thoughtful touches that our entire group enjoyed.

This house and property exceeded our expectations! The amount of attention given to the amenities is extraordinary. Beautiful views, comfortable and spacious living areas and well stocked with items both essential and fun! The property is exceptional! Each day we were delighted to explore the grounds, enjoy the views and relax in a beautiful setting. We would not hesitate to stay here in the future and hope we have the chance to do so again soon!

We spent a lot of time on the decks enjoying beautiful sunny days, and did puzzles in the evenings and on a drizzly day. The house has plenty of space to spread out, with a nice kitchen and dining area for shared meals. We saw a fox, several deer and even orcas that swam close enough for us to hear them blowing. We rented bikes and ended up storing them at the rental place each night because it would've been impossible (for us, at least) to ride them down to Stonecliff and back up again. We had a special dinner at Duck Soup, multiple cups of coffee at the Salty Fox and lots of fish and chips at Roche Harbor. A highlight was being on SJI for the SJI County Fair. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation!

Property was beautiful. The view was amazing. House had everything you ever needed. Kitchen had everything you would ever need. Beds were comfy. Love the fact that there were all king beds. Art work all over the house was absolutely gorgeous. Played foosball. Couldn’t get elliptical to work but no big deal.

The road to the property, though in decent shape, has a ridge that will cause vehicles with less ground clearance (Audi A5 in this case) to bottom out. Immaculately clean, super comfortable king-sized beds, well-equipped kitchen and beautiful art and furnishings. We loved watching the sunrise over the water each morning with our coffee, and evenings in the hot tub. A lot of love and thought clearly went into this house. No detail was overlooked in the finish out, and the floorplan provided plenty of privacy for two couples, while offering incredible views from every room. The location was great too-quiet, private, serene. But just a quick drive into Friday Harbor shops and restaurants, as well as to exploring around the island. We enjoyed a nice mix of activities and relaxation. Loved our days exploring the islands in a boat rental from Friday Harbor Boat Rentals and Crystal Seas kayaking tour, feeding the alpacas, walking around the docks at Roche Harbor and hiking around Lime Kiln. Best meals were at Duck Soup and Westcott Bay Oyster (make reservations). Enjoyed a stop, too, at San Juan Cellars. We did learn that shops and businesses keep varying hours, Tuesdays a lot of things are closed. Call ahead just to confirm; we tried the Alpaca Farm three times before finally finding them open. Winery is only open Thurs-Sun. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful, clean, beautiful views, guided walk on 15 acres, tea house all incredible

This property was a perfect place for 8 of us to gather. We were grandparents, children and spouses. We had an amazing time as the hosts have gone to the trouble of creating games, adventures and beautiful spaces on their acres. Everything was spotless and well tended to. We ate, laughed, hikes, watched wildlife and enjoyed San Juan Island.

We only wish we were able to spend more time at the house but there was too many exciting things to explore on the island. One of the first things you notice is how impeccably clean the home is. Such a nice way to start a trip. Anything we needed was there and available.

We loved our stay at this beautiful home tucked in the woods on the water. The views were outstanding and we loved the hiking trail behind the house with the Critter Hunt. The home was very comfortable and had everything we needed.

My husband and I took our three kids here for their spring break. It’s the perfect place to relax, unwind and just enjoy the view of the Sound, the smell of fresh air and the tranquility of the forest. The whole experience is unforgettable. There are tons of rental homes out there, we’ve been to quite a few and normally we don’t go back to the same house, but this just might be the exception.

Stone Cliff was beautiful and exactly as shown. The kitchen was so well appointed. Nothing was missing. The house accommodated our party of 7 (and a baby) just perfectly. We had fun times around the large table and enjoyed the fireplace on our one rainy day. Close enough to town but so peaceful.

Great roomy house overlooking sound. Lots of wildlife, both land and sea. Secluded and quiet. Large grounds filled with interesting artwork and a tea house retreat. Many amenities. What is not to like?

This property has the wow factor. If you want to stay at a top-notch property, this is it. We had a commanding view of the bay in front of our house. We left the property each day of our stay, however I think we could’ve stayed on property and had plenty of things to do like badminton, nature watching, puzzles, and games. The house had a pair of binoculars perfect for viewing the distant shoreline. Everything in the house was in working order, and the description of the property was very accurate. We suggest getting an updated TV for the living area. Unheard of in this day and age, we resorted to talking to each other! The hot tub was serviced on day three of five during our stay. If the hot tub is your hot button, this hot tub will seat two adults comfortably, maximum three adults. However, the water is very sudsy. The Wi-Fi was fast enough and strong enough for all five of us to stream at the same time most of the time. It’s a 15 acre property with well marked trails and nature viewing opportunities

We prepared all of our meals in the large, well stocked kitchen and they provided everything we needed for cooking & barbecuing during our stay. The 3 king beds were all very comfortable and they provided plenty of bedding, hot tub towels & bath towels. We loved the nature trails and walking around the property. It is located down a very steep dirt road, but we had no problem getting there with our SUV and the excellent directions. We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and spacious property. The drawbacks were minimal, but should be noted: 1. Upon arrival the house smelled very musty & had to be aired out for quite awhile. 2. Although we knew in advance that check out was at 10am, it seems unreasonably early and doesn’t line up well with the summer ferry schedule, unless you plan on being in the ferry line by 10am for the 11am ferry. We had 4 hours between check out and boarding time, which is too long in Friday Harbor. A lot of the shops weren’t open or didn’t make it during Covid it looks like. 3. Be aware, the cleaning person arrives before check out and just waits for you to leave. Is it so they can collect another $200 from you if you’re late? It wasn’t a problem for us, but the next person will want to be prepared. 4. This is a gorgeous water view, but it is not a water front property. There is technically access to the water, but it is treacherous and rocky. You go down a path, over a log, and down the stairs. Once you get to the bottom of the stairs a rope is provided and it leads to the water and to very large slippery rocks, with no beach to enjoy.5. The hide-a-bed in the living room was uncomfortable. You might want to bring an air mattress if you need the extra sleeping space. 6. The bedspreads and pillow shams are ancient and need to be replaced (specifically in the master bedroom).
