Great location for downhill skiing at Whiteface!

Excellent location for skiing Whiteface mountain. Literally a 5 minute drive to the base. Very comfortable and spacious. Hot tub and gas grill was great!!

Very homey and comfortable

The property was beautiful and as described it was clean and peaceful. We had a good time check in and checkout was very easy.

The hot tub was enjoyed by all. Also the fireplace was wonderful, too. The house itself was very nice. The rooms had the Adirondack camp feel. We played Corn hole and spent time on the deck down by the water. We had an eagle fly over while we were outside. We would definitely rent it again if we are in the area. Jennifer was always very responsive.

Loved the location and its pet friendliness. Our dog enjoyed the large yard to play in and hiking nearby trails. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking and cycling. Jennifer was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Would definitely come back to stay again.

We loved our stay at this cabin! It was super clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. We cooked meals together, played games, had campfires, and spent quiet time reading outside. A peaceful morning kayak was a nice bonus, and we enjoyed walking to the park in town along the river.The little convenience store right around the corner was really handy for last-minute things we forgot (but not adequate for full grocery shopping, so bring what you need). It was a great spot for our family, including our two kids and close to so many fun things to do in the Lake Placid area, hiking trailheads, and lots of sights nearby. We’d definitely stay here again!

Very comfortable and the perfect place to stay for fly fishing in summer season 2025. Rivers very low, which made Lake Everest and below the dam the spot to fly fish for big trout. Relaxing on the deck, napping in the gazebo, safe and smooth kayaking, well stocked house and comfy beds made our stay beyond wonderful.

Property was great! We would definitely stay again in the future. Everything was clean and had lots of room for our entire family of 6 adults and 3 children 3yrs and under. Loved hanging out on the front porch, the gazebo, the deck overlooking the water and the fire pit. The hottub was a great added bonus! Very convenient to local attractions. We went over to lake placid. High falls gorge and Santa's workshop. We walked over to a pizza restaurant (very good) for dinner one night and drove to the country bears diner for breakfast.

The property has a large yard to relax in. The beds were comfortable. Location was good to the area hikes and fairly close to Lake Placid.

House has so much character and charm and the property is just beautiful and well kept! The property owners were very nice with all my questions and replied so quickly!

Wonderful sking

We stayed for a few days with friends and all loved it. Such a great property! The kids loved the bunk beds, and we loved how cozy it was.

The property was clean the hot tub and fireplace were so cozy. We stayed over Thanksgiving and the entire experience was almost like out of a movie. Would 100% do it again.

We had an amazing time at this property. The house itself was fantastic, spacious, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The yard was a definite highlight with plenty of space for our dogs to run and play. It was great to have a friendly property where our dogs were truly welcome, snd could enjoy the outdoors with us. The location couldn’t have been better — just a short drive from the heart of the Adirondacks, making it super easy to explore the area. We spent several days hiking and loved the variety of trails nearby from easy walks to more challenging climbs. It was the perfect base for outdoor ventures, and having the dogs made it even more special.

Our second visit to this property. It’s as described and meets our needs very well as a hiking base. The dog was very happy to return.

Just returned from a great fall getaway! Five days of hiking / kayaking / tennis / beautiful views / hot tub time / and window shopping in nearby Lake Placid. Thank you, Jen, for the use of your comfortable and very well situated home. Also, a special thanks for getting a replacement kayak to us with no time lost. Peter

The place was exactly as pictured and described. The owner is extremely easy to communicate with. The fact that it has an overlook of the water with comfortable lawn furniture, a beautiful hot tub, large gazebo, a large lawn, a gas grill, games, a few minutes walk from a playground, and a few minutes drive from Whiteface and mountain climbing - made this the perfect family weekend for our family. The house is well stocked with anything guests could want/need. The place was very clean. Thank you Jen for all of your attention to detail.

This was the perfect place for a small group of friends to go peak bagging. The hot tub was greatly appreciated for after long hiking days. We have already asked about booking for next year.

Four seventy-something women had a fantastic time exploring the Olympic Parks, hiking , shopping, … and then to our VRBO home for wine in the hot tub, wine on the deck in awe of color changes on Whiteface, delicious homemade meal with super stocked kitchen, and finally sleeping soundly in very comfy beds! Perfect vacation!

First thing I want to say is my husband and I had a wonderful vacation. The view from the dock was amazing. The kitchen was up to date with plenty of room for a family meal. The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. There was a problem with the master bedroom air conditioner and our host Jen and Rich heard our concerns and replaced it the next evening. The hot tub seats 4 and would have been perfect for the two of us, but only half of the jets were working. Our host Rich came out to check on it the next evening, but was not able to fix it himself. There was also a problem with pieces of shingles coming off the roof, which were scattered around the hot tub area. We enjoyed the huge lawn with a nice fire pit.

We just stayed at the property this past week, and loved it. Our first time visiting this area with our two teen boys and German Shepard. We were able to walk the town safely, played some basketball in the local park, fished, swam in the water out back and enjoyed the property grounds and hot tub. Everything was very clean, well stocked and you had everything you could need. Lake Placid was close by and we took a trip over there for a few items we wanted to pickup. The small convenience store was great to have right around the corner and the pizza place two doors down had some great food. Thanks again to the hostess. We loved it
