Stayed Aug 16, 2025Nice house, roomy and well-appointed with great views and lake frontage. Close to everything in Baileys Harbor and in a convenient location to visit anywhere on the Door County peninsula. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is privacy: there’s a wine bar on one side that is sometimes busy, but even when not, there are some moms — at least when we were there - who visit the wine bar after school or day care as a playground, so it was loudest in the late afternoon. In the other side is a small parking lot, which allows in a lot of road noise. Great property, but you should be aware of these issues before booking.

Stayed Jul 20, 2025Incredible location, roomy home, a few quibbles. Pros:- incredible location- spacious home- responsive management- working a/cCons:- very stingy on household items- not as well-cleaned as expected- very unpleasant tap waterNote:- no reserved parking spots- spotty internet at timesThe location of this home is amazing. Near everything in Bailey’s Harbor. We walked for coffee, lunch, and dinner multiple times. It’s quite walkable to Ridges beach. The bedrooms and bathrooms were just right for our family of 5 adults, 2 elementary kids, and 2 teenagers. The appliances are mostly good with two exceptions:. The touchless kitchen faucet is unreliable, and the drawer/beverage fridges don’t hold the indicated temperature. The tap water is very unpleasant. They have a reverse osmosis tap in the kitchen that is essential for drinking. You come out of the shower with a distinct aquarium-chemical smell. Not sure if this is a well water issue. The household goods were very stingy for what you pay. Not enough toilet paper for more than a couple of days. No facial tissue. One dishwasher packet. (Rinse aid was empty in the dishwasher). Hotel-sized samples of soap/shampoo. We had to buy more of all of those. The cleaning crew missed things, such as an advil on the floor near the bed, a wet and very caked coffee maker, left-behind food. Again, for what you pay, you expect more. We did have very good interactions with the managers. Responsive and very friendly.

Stayed May 23, 2025Overall, the owners have done a nice job modernizing this old home, and you can tell they enoy this property. The home itself is very comfortable, and the grounds offer plenty of outdoor space. What's not readily apparent from the listing is that a wine bar with outdoor space for customers borders the property to the south. During quiet evenings, noise from the bar can be heard. Bordering the north side of the property is a public parking lot and another home's yard. During busy business hours, the lot may be full. We also had an unfortunate run-in with the neighbor over, of all things, parking. The property has a garage with a grass driveway in front of it. The check-in email from the property manager said this space could fit a vehicle and trailer if necessary, or the public parking lot or street parking could be used. We chose to park one of our three vehicles on this grassy area because the street and lot parking filled up during the busy holiday weekend. The neighbor was upset that we were parked on the lawn and was seen taking photos of our vehicle. When confronted, he became confrontational, saying he knows the owners and that they wouldn't want a vehicle on the grass. I offered to show him the email that said we could park there, but he proceeded to argue that it was rude to park on the grass and that it was damaging it. He then apparently texted the photo to the owners (we didn’t hear from them about the issue). Not the experience we expected to have.
