Waterfront-Gorgeous Views-New Boat House-Fire Pit-Much More!!

Valerie was absolutely delightful. We have stayed in our fair share of homes and hands down this was the best stocked kitchen we have ever seen. It made cooking for our family that we don’t see often a pleasure. The location was fantastic and Food Lion was just a few minutes away. We walked the neighborhood one morning and the few neighbors we saw were incredibly friendly. The home was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. Stay here, you won’t be sorry that you did. We had a great week (July 2025)! Perfect size house for our family of 6. House was well appointed and maintained. Excellent outdoor areas (boathouse and patio). Fun game room/tv room in basement. Good beds and baths. Loved location near Eaton Ferry Marina and mid-lake. One small downside is the shallow/mucky water off the dock, but you only have to go out a short way to get to great spots for swimming/floating, which we did all day. Owner was very responsive to all my messages, including an emergency service call to fix a/c mid-week (an easy fix). I recommend this house and would stay here again.

I cannot say enough about this beautiful home. It is so well maintained and comfortable. It is beautifully decorated. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The home is stocked with everything you can possibly need.Hanging out on the covered dock was such a treat. There was plenty of seating for everyone. We loved having coffee in the morning and cocktails in the afternoon on the screened in porch. The homeowner was always quick to respond with thoughtful helpful messages. We will definitely be back. The house was incredibly clean and the beds were comfortable. We loved having fires in the fire pit and hanging out on the beautiful dock. The cove is nice and quiet, perfect for kayaking with the kayaks provided. It's also quick and easy to get to the main lake and the dock is a perfect place to park your boat. In addition to the house being fantastic, communication with Valerie was incredible. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

What a gem on Lake Gaston! This vacation rental was everything we hoped for and more. The beautiful views and peaceful setting in a secluded cove made it the perfect escape. We especially loved waking up to the sound of birds singing each morning—it was like nature’s own soundtrack. The huge screened-in porch on the second floor was a dream come true for my art projects—so much space, fresh air, and inspiring scenery. Whether you're looking for a family getaway or a quiet retreat for two, this spot checks all the boxes. Highly recommend!

This was our first experience using Vrbo for a family vacation so we were pessimistic everything would work out perfectly...I was wrong. The owner provided amazing communication and details and check-in was simple. The property was super clean and inviting! We really appreciated the fact that everything in the house is quality e.g., comfort of beds, linens, kitchenware, etc. The boathouse provided plenty of room to relax and listen to music while fishing. Everyone was sad to leave but we will definitely be booking another trip here. Thanks so much!

They house was clean and had everything we could have possibly needed. The kitchen was very well stocked, plenty of towels. My grown children had so much fun just hanging out together playing games and laughing all night. I would highly recommend this lake house. We will be coming back to stay here.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is located in a quiet cove, and was the ideal size for our family of 8. The owners have recently upgraded the home and the dock / boat slip and sidewalk to the dock are brand new.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sunset Cove! Very relaxing, great set up and easy to visit! The only item to add is local channels on the tv - the Olympics were on major network. The home, porch, patio, boat house was amazing and it worked great for our boat! The home is very. clean and had lots of amenities. Thank you!

I recently stayed at a beautiful lake house and had an incredible experience. The property was in a great location, well-maintained, and equipped with all the amenities you would for a great stay at the lake including surplus of towels, games, and bedding. This was a wonderful vacation from the time we set foot on the property till we had to leave. This house is spacious and had everything we could want and more! It is very clean and the decor is very much modern and inviting. The whole family appreciated the screened in porch where we ate supper- totally bug free! The dock was perfect with shade and sun for all. The best part was that in this quiet cove, we felt like we had it all to ourselves and floated blissfully during the day. I could go on and on!
