Waterfront duplex w/ dock, shared pool, fast WiFi & central AC

Check in code didn’t work. Didnt get a new code as promised and had to call again in the morning. Had to wait for the new code so we could lock up if we wanted to leave the house. Realty should have given us access to the physical key sooner. AC didn’t work. House was hot upon check in. Finally got it fixed the next day. HVAC guy said it needs to be replaced and will likely go out again. Golf cart that we paid extra for wouldn’t hold a charge so the first time we took it out we almost didn’t make it back. Told we would get a credit for that and for partial day for AC issue. Have seen nothing yet. Black mold on inside of front windows. Back stair handrails are not to code- too low. Safety issue. In my opinion, house is not up to par for rental for these reasons. Disappointing to spend precious money and vacation time dealing with all this. Realty needs to be more proactive and do what they say they are going to do. Would never rent through them again.

The home and its setting are absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed kayaking the intercostal waterway and the dock is great for sitting and sunbathing. The pool is a great amenity that our kids enjoyed throughout the whole trip. The beds slept great, the sheets were clean and crisp. The window views all around the home are fantastic. Would love to have had more time. Thank you to the owner for being welcoming. This home does not have outdoor cameras and I appreciate that. Privacy is important to us and I know it takes some trust on the owners part to allow that.

The house is beautiful. We had an issue with hot water and VACASA was INCREDIBLY responsive and helpful in getting it resolved. We really appreciated everything they did.

Pros: The property was very clean. The layout of the house was open & spacious. Multiple showers with bathtubs. Excellent outdoor space with the pool included. Cons: The walk to the beach. Originally we were told it was a 2-3 minute walk to the beach. That was a little understated. The walk was a little over 10 minutes (without toddlers) to public beach access. No grill is at the home. No net is included to clean the pool as needed - especially of fiddler crabs. There were no instructions provided to heat the pool so maintenance was required to be contacted. Many of the doors do not latch in the home to bathrooms and bedrooms. The kitchen is poorly stocked as far as cookware, utensils, etc. Overall, the home was clean and updated and we enjoyed our time. We were going to go ahead and book for the same time next year in May. However, an approximate 85% cost increase deterred me from rebooking.

Really no complaints other than the kitchen could be better stocked with more dishes and silverware although it did have those things, but we had to hand wash silverware in between use of the dishwasher. But other than that, great place! We liked how the three bedrooms are somewhat secluded away from the family room. The early riser couple got the bedroom right off the dining area which worked great for them and the kids and late risers got the other 3 rooms. Place was very clean and nice! Would highly recommend this house!
