After many houses I think we finally found the one that fits our family and our style. We’ve stayed in much nicer and larger homes, but this one fit us perfectly. Easy private access to the sound to get on our small boat was awesome. Even with the included boat slip I just kept my boat beached at the private dock. Fishing from the dock was also good. Fish cleaning station at the back of the house was very handy. My wife loved the big tub in the master bedroom. This house was very well laid out for our family and had everything we needed. The neighboring boat ramp and slip are huge benefits to this house for the sound fishermen. My only complaints about this place was the driveway was horrible for me. I have a crew cab dually truck and with the rod rack on the front it was almost impossible to turn around and even swing the turn without being in the bushes. My second complaint was under house lighting. They were there just not bright, and a lot of blown bulbs. I like to work on my fishing tackle at night, and still had to use extra lighting. All in all we loved this house. It will most likely be the one we rent from now on.

The sunsets were awesome. Beds and fourniture are very confortable. Very quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is very well equiped but only k-cup coffee machine. We loved our stay at Quinnebaug and would certainly go back without hesitation.

House was great, plenty of room to spread out. The kids loved playing in the water down in the sound. If you have little kids just be careful as the walkway down to the water is high off the ground. Great house for sunsets!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property. The only issues we experienced were some of the storm shutters were lowered but this was resolved. Also, the fireplace did not work because there was no gas in the outside tank. This was reported to the management company but unfortunately not resolved. Also, when we were checking out the cleaning crew arrived an hour before the checkout time and asked when we would vacate the house. As we were loading the vehicle, we reminded them that we had until 10 am to leave and they left. We were surprised by this because we had been asked to inform the management company when we had checked out. Overall, it was a positive experience.

Home has a great floor plan and very spacious for a three bedroom. Well equipped and enjoys 3 showers! The gas grill and Kuerig coffee maker were added bonuses. The location is very private and the sound views stunning with private pier access to the water. Only suggested improvement would be to trim the lower tree branches atop the driveway, fishing poles carried in vertical holders will not clear those limbs but almost.... Would recommend highly and would rent again!

If you don’t read anything else, this is a great house and I would absolutely book again. Pros: -Great location -Beautiful views -Private dock -Dog friendly -HVAC has upstairs and downstairs unit -Lots of porch space -Covered area for cars is great -Wifi worked well -Private and quite Cons: -Small bed (full size) in very large master bedroom -Bedding isn’t great. Comforters could be more substantial and more pillows on the bed. Especially the master. -Routine maintenance could be better. Outdoor cushions are in poor shape, toilet handles need some attention, doors are squeaky. -Main TV is small and older. A bigger, newer TV would be nice.

We love the location and private boardwalk. The Jack-n-Jill bedrooms and bath are convenient for the kids. The large propane tank for the grill means endless grilling during our vacation. We don’t have to bring many games/cards because there is ample amount at this home. While the humidity and cloud cover didn’t give us as many breathtaking sunsets I expected, that’s out of your control and we still enjoyed what we got. My only negative is the mosquitos were insane this time around! We didn’t have this issue last year; I’m sure the latest weather played a role, but I couldn’t enjoy as much of the outdoors because they treated me like a buffet each time we were out. However, we bought mosquito spray, punk and citronella candles to help. It wasn’t going to completely prevent us from our kayaking and crabbing days.

We really enjoyed this property and definitely plan to go back. It was great being able to easily launch our kayaks and fish from the dock. The chair lifts were a great accessory for my husband, who has trouble getting around and climbing stairs. The only disappointment is that after we booked, we found it was through Vacasa. The whole reason we like VRBO is not having to deal with a rental company and the added expense. Otherwise, everything was great!!
