Stayed Dec 19, 2025Very good accommodations for four families with kids! Lots of activities to keep us all entertained, and it was very comfortable for all of us. The host always replied quickly to my questions.

Stayed Oct 11, 2025This the second year we stayed at this property. It really is an excellent place to hang out. However, last year the dishes had been put away dirty. We had to wash them all before we eat on them. This year one bedroom's sheets had not been changed and the bed just made. When the folk tried to go to bed, they ended up having to wash the sheets in the middle of the night. The grill hadn't been properly cleaned and there were other minor issues which all added up to us agreeing we would not be back next year.

Stayed Sep 5, 2025We spent 4 days here with 9 adults and 3 infants. The house and property are fantastic! The location is quiet enough to be full of wildlife - deer walking across the lawn, seals in the inlet, and a distant view of orcas. The house and kitchen are incredibly well stocked with anything you might need. There are tons of activities - basketball, cornhole, ping pong, pickleball, and so much more! The kitchen has tons of dishes and cooking utensils. And there is a propane grill and a blackstone grill on the back deck. A highchair and booster seat were also provided for the little ones! With enough outdoor seating for our whole crew, we enjoyed dinner on the deck each evening. We are definitely planning to return!

Stayed May 3, 2025We spent our annual family vacation at Water Front Allyn Retreat. 10 of us fit comfortably in the home and bonus MIL suite (which was perfect for Grandma). The location was central for day trips to nearby parks, Defiance Point Peninsula and Olympic National Park. However, we didn’t have to leave to enjoy the view or wildlife. From the expansive deck we were able to see sea lions, whales and waterfowl on the Case Inlet. The house was fully stocked with amenities, the open kitchen was perfect for family meals and we were able to enjoy the view while cooking. We also enjoyed the view while cooking outside on the gas grill and Blackstone and enjoying several evening fires. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax and the kiddos enjoyed the bonus TV/game room. On our last day we set up all the games in the garage for yard Olympics including: beanbags, pickleball, basketball, disc golf and ping pong it was perfect for our family! We’ve already recommended the retreat to family and friends. If you’re traveling with a large group and want to take in the views of the Puget Sound, this is the place for you!

Stayed Nov 27, 2024We had a great stay here, very nice property and our party of 9 adults fit very well. The kitchen is well-equipped, the views are great, even in November, great common spaces for cooking and relaxing by a fire, comfortable beds, and it was great having a second kitchen for cooking a big feast. The host, Jay was very responsive and made everything easy, bringing wood over immediately when asked. The only negative issues were the guest house took a long time to heat up and the upstairs in the main house got very hot when the downstairs was not.

Stayed Oct 4, 2024This is large, expansive place located on the water of North Harbor, just outside of Allyn, WA. The view from the large deck across the water was wonderful. The water was full of seals and marine birds that set the tone for the weekend. Trees and other vegetation screen you from your neighbors so you get a real sense of privacy. There were nine of us that have been to a number of places together and this was probably the best location we have had. There was plenty of room to both be by yourself and to be together comfortably in the main house and extra cabin. The bedrooms were all of a decent size and almost everyone commented on the quality of the beds. The kitchen is well stocked and large enough for all of us to use while preparing meals. There was plenty of things to do on site, what with games, kayaks, a hot tub and several firepits located around the large property. All told we had a wonderful time and will probably be back next year.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We enjoyed staying at this property. Beautiful views of the water and lots of room for our big family to gather in. The property manager was responsive and accommodating. Kitchen was stocked with enough amenities and utensils. Beds were comfortable. Grocery store is about 15 min drive away.Cons: the floor on the main floor is made up of small pebbles in concrete, so make sure you bring slippers as it can be uncomfortable if you walk barefoot on them. The upstairs can get hot (see previous review from July 2024). We also wished that the hot tub was working when we were there. Overall though, it was a nice place and we had a great time.

Stayed Jun 27, 2024Beautiful property & quiet, peaceful location. The indoor kitchen/dining/living space of the main house was perfect for our group of 4 middle aged couples, as was the outdoor deck space with ample seating & beautiful views. The kitchen was well equiped with dishes, appliances, etc. & there were plentiful spices & condiments, toilet paper, paper towels, and soap available. The bedrooms & bathrooms were thoughtfully arranged & there were plenty of towels. The property manager was responsive & friendly. The hot tub was out of commission when we were there (they advised us in advance). Half way through cooking, the BBQ ran out of propane. While we found 4 tanks, all were empty. After going to 2 nearby stores to swap an empty for a full tank, we were told that the closest place to do so was a 20 min drive each way. We notified the property manager, but told him given our food was half cooked, we would finish it on the stove cooktop. Later that evening, someone came to the house & asked if we still needed propane, which was nice. For future guests: If you're a group of adults, be advised that all 4 bedrooms in the main house are all upstairs (the stairs are steep), but there is only 1 bathroom upstairs, which has a tub with a hand held shower, but no stand-up shower. The nicer bathroom, with a wonderful shower, is on the main level of the main house. Two of the upper bedrooms connect via slider to an upper deck. Due to the shared single bathroom for all 4 upstairs bedrooms, the only space resembling a primary suite is the separate guest house, which has its own kitchen & seating area as well. I thought the inside of the guest house was actually larger than it appeared in the photos. It can get quite warm upstairs in the main house, but most of the sliders & windows do not have screens.
