The back yard and access to the river is what this place is all about!!! It’s a bit steep but easily accessible if you don’t have mobility issues. You can easily go in the water and my daughter used her paddle board easily. Views are amazing. We had a great time renting a pontoon boat and did lazy river tubing(don’t tube if you have mobility issues- you have to put some work in to stay in the flow of the river). The Heidelberg German restaurant had amazing food. The house itself is equipped with everything we needed. Definitely a bit dated and “rustic”. Since we were spending our time out and about, it sufficed. The stairs leading to the bedrooms is steep and narrow. One bedroom did not have an AC unit so was hot unless all bedroom doors remained open. The house and the road is only separated by a sidewalk. Luckily traffic and people passing by was few and far between. The driveway is very small, hence only being allowed two vehicles. It may be an issue if both vehicles are large. It was fine for our two vehicles. We did bring our French Bulldog with us. He did great at the house. The yard is not fenced , so it’s crucial to leash your dog when outside. For the family or friends looking for a place to stay but mainly going to be out enjoying what the area has to offer, this is a good spot. Locals are friendly and you can’t beat the rivers and lakes.

The neighborhood is tired. There's a very run down home across the street that was a bit uncomfortable. The house was clean, but again, a bit tired. The lawn furniture really needs to be updated. No reason for such run down pieces. It's a walk down a hill to the river. It's not right on the water as we expected. We got what we paid for. We had a nice time, but we spent most of our time away from the property.

We had a very nice time. Good location and loved swimming in the gorge but a bit treacherous getting down there with limited mobility. The living room furniture needs to be updated and bed/bath linens but very comfortable and well appointed kitchen. Outside could use a power wash too. Overall, a nice experience and good value!

A wonderful location, nice setting and the place had all we needed. The path down to the water was a bit steep with no rails or rope. It is difficult to swim or kayak from this spot. Everything was close and easy to walk to for groceries and the local park. There were fireworks. Ice cream and mini golf was just a few minutes away. The house was older but comfortable and the kitchen had all you would need except pizza pans, we brought our own.

The house was perfect! Plenty of room to hang out, comfortable bedrooms, beautiful outdoor areas. The house is a tiny walk outside the back and you're on the river. The space was perfect. Would highly recommend.

Fishing was great, sm mouth bass here with beautiful flat rocks that made it easy to get around. The surroundings were awsome with views of remnants of an old paper mill right across the river. You can watch tubers come down sacandaga river where it meets hudson river. When tide is low safe to swim definitely able to dip in pockest to get wet. Too cold still. House was perfect for long weekend. Lovely private backyard, easy walk down to river. Clean and comfortable beds homie decor.showers are nice and clean..wifi with Roku ready tv. Longhorn resturant was friendly with best burgers ever! Short easy distance to Lake George Village. Brought 2 small dogs that had a blast near river too with life jackets that had handles, did not swim only lightly dipped. Too cold.Overall had a great time Memorial weekend. Would defiantly stay again.

The real beauty is down by the river, as other people have said. So peaceful but must be careful if you go in the water. The waterfall itself was not visible unless you swam up a little. Possibly in low tide you might be able to walk the rocks but we didn’t have low tide when we were there. There are other smaller waterfalls that you can walk or drive to around the block. The house itself was clean. It is an old house with stairs that are not to code ( much steeper than should be) but the showers are nice and linens fresh. We could not get the television to work. I felt that the property manager could have been more friendly but overall no issues. There are instructions on the refrigerator that were helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our 9 year old loved walking down to the river every morning while we finished our coffee and we loved walking our dogs up to the lake afterwards. We enjoyed sitting on the rocks along the river during the afternoon and putting our feet in the water. The location is so convenient with Stewart's nearby and the lake luzerne market up the street, you pretty much can get everything you need. I enjoyed being walking distance to waterfalls and the lake. We were also only about a 20 min drive to lake george and 45 mins drive to natural stone bridge and cave which we highly recommend in pottersville. There were other gems in the area we didn't have time to check out but just leaves us more to discover the next time we return!

Overall, we had a nice trip. We brought our dogs, and once down at the water, it was beautiful. Seeing as we had our dogs with us, the house worked, but I wouldn’t stay again for the price. Suggestion to owners- add outside lights at doors. We had to bring the dogs out in the dark, and it was a bit sketchy.

The riverfront is the entire reason to stay here and it is amazing. The Hudson is amazing and we rented jetskis about a block away. Super fun. Not a fan of the neighbor's’ political banners and signs, pretty unwelcoming. Otherwise the host was very accommodating and friendly and it was a great stay!
