We loved this place. The hpuse itself had undeniable charm. Everything was in the house so that you could cook a meal for yourself. Tricia, the host is very responsive. The neighborhood seems very quiet. Delightful!

It is a beautiful old home and a walk away from the river. My only company is the bathroom. Toilet space was tiny and the shower/tub wasn't too great. I would hesitate staying again just because of that.

Lovely half of a double barrel shotgun house with owner next door. Full kitchen with spices and condiments. I had a very comfortable week and will be back. Beautiful view of downtown from the levee and good walking trail down the Mississippi or up the Industrial Canal. Climb the levee up the flowery slope or walk to the 4-corner for a path.

Enjoyed the stay! Quaint and warm and fits the NOLA vibe. Close to the river and loved walking to the levy to enjoy a cup a coffee in the morning. Quiet and away from the night life but close to everywhere I wanted to see. Will stay again! Thank you!

This is a lovely little apartment / duplex in a quiet neighborhood. A nice place when you want to get away from the hustle, bustle and noise of the French Quarter. Although we didn't cook, it looked as if there were plenty of dishes and cookware, in addition to a full size stove, fridge and dishwasher. The bed was comfortable and clean, and the shower had plenty of hot water. We would definitely stay here again when visiting NOLA.The only reason I didn't give this a perfect score was because the listing says watching the river flow..... You cannot see the river from this property, although it is very close by, within walking distance. Instead, you must go to the end of the block (a couple of houses down), then climb up the levee. Not a big deal, but a 'need to know' if you're there for river views.

Price was a nice neat well kept house, you can tell it had some rich history. Unfortunately, I never saw the river. If there was anything negative to say, I would have to say, as a professional Firefighter, a secondary means of the egress would have been nice. Also, the shower was acceptable. However, the water could’ve been a little warmer. Other than those two things I really enjoyed my stay.

Don't freak out with the run-down neighborhood. The apartment is old but very well kept up. It is labeled as Watching the River Flow but there is no sight of a river. This was a good rental for the money. Patricia has it very well supplied with everything to make our stay comfortable. The one glitch was a missed message to me telling how to check in, otherwise communication was good. It's about a 20 minute drive to Downtown.

Authentic New Orleans feel all around inside and out. Very quiet neighborhood for early mornings and evenings sitting on the porch. Great coffee and kitchen had everything I needed. Great shower with plenty of hot water and I found the bed to be quite comfortable. Will definitely stay again if and when I return to New Orleans!

Patricia left little notes about different things such as potential freeze weather, letting us know if something is out of order, just little quality of life things. She was so responsive and helpful whenever we had any type of issue. I stayed for the Rockin 1000 event and it was beyond the expression of words, the perfect spot to unwind and relax after long days. Yeah downtown is awesome, but being right next to Bywater is probably the best decision I could’ve made, always 11/10 experiences. Highly highly recommend this place, 10 stars if possible

The living quarters were dirty: dirt was in the corners on the floors, dust on the tables and on night stands. Refrigerator was dirty outside and inside, the stove had black burned staff around the burners. The toilet would not flush properly. The lower lock broke, and I couldn’t get in. There were two inch long cockroaches.

Dont really have too much to say about the shops near-by, because quite frankly I wasnt going to stop. Did go to Bourbon street, the food was great.

Patricia was an extremely kind and accommodating host. She made sure we had everything we needed at the house. The property itself is beautiful and cozy and clean. We encountered no issues at all. The neighborhood was very quaint and quiet. The check in and check out procedures were very simple and quick, as well.As for any negatives, the bridge out of Holy Cross leading into French Quarter was always congested as the only other bridge was closed (this was completely out of Patricia’s control).Thank you Patricia!! If we are ever back in NOLA, we’d love to stay at your property again :)

Nice place to stay and we hope to go again. The host was accommodating and quick to answer emails. I loved the charm and character of the old house. It had all the necessities and some extras too. Very comfortable bed and futon. Free parking on the street in front of the house was so convenient. We could have done without the mosquitoes (lol-it’s Louisiana!). We walked up the levee to see the Mississippi River.

Great property, a true NOLA Shotgun home. I was very quiet and comfortable with all the standard comforts. Had a pocket door to close while doing laundry. Great to walk along the Mississippi, very close. Had a chance to watch the local puppet show on the green by the river.

This was the perfect location for us. Quiet neighborhood , away from the traffic and businesses of downtown, yet only 20 minutes away. The house is very New Orleans” and has lots of character. Just a short walk away is the Mississippi River and a nice walk on the levee. We didn’t have to bother Tricia at all because everything we needed or wanted was there. We had a great week exploring the area and left the day before it snowed! We would highly recommend this home whether staying for a couple of nights or a week like we did.

This property is a beautiful gem tucked away in a quiet neighborhood beside the water. The home was comfortable, and the kitchen was the best-stocked of any VRBO I have stayed at. My husband and I love to cook and have morning coffee, and this kitchen was clean and comfortable, with great appliances and snacks! The owner's hospitality was evident from the moment we arrived. Check-in was a breeze, and we were delighted to find a wealth of local resources laid out for us. The art and graffiti book was a unique touch that we thoroughly enjoyed, and it inspired us to explore the local art scene. The home was close to downtown New Orleans, and a cemetery was a short drive away. We enjoyed morning and evening walks by the river. If I could give more than five stars, I would. I highly recommend it, and if we make our way back to New Orleans, we will stay again.
