Stayed Apr 25, 2025We spent a long weekend visiting with old friends and needed a quiet place with space for our new puppy. This house was ideal! Joe and Carol could not have been more helpful or caring! Their constant communication allowed us to have a minor problem fully resolved on the same day! Beautiful views and fabulous hosts! Just what we needed!

Stayed Mar 8, 2025This house sits on such a beautiful location overlooking the lake. Our hosts were very friendly and made sure everything went smoothly. When the heater didn't work, he came out personally, got it running again, and made sure it would work properly for the rest of our stay.

Stayed Jun 6, 2024Carol and Joe are so attentive and communicative. You can tell they truly love sharing their home with you. The deck out front overlooking the river is the perfect place to hang out and visit. We also enjoyed having a campfire in the back. It was all set up and easy to get going. The home was clean and the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, glasses, etc., even coffee. We stayed during a cicada event. It was fun watching all the bird action. If we ever return to Peoria, we will definitely stay here!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We enjoyed our stay so much, we extended it. Beautiful home well supplied even for the furbabies. and clean. Good location and things are easy to get to. The views off the huge deck are awesome and I feel my spirit has been renewed. We will definitely be back.

It even contains menus from several restaurants! The view is amazing!To watch the sunrises over the Illinois River made getting up early worth it!? We will definitely return.

Stayed May 17, 2024The driveway to the home is very steep and winding, which is not noted in the description and shoukd be. The entrance/bottom of the driveway is off a very busy, tree-lined street, making it difficult to find the entrance. We were unable to slow down to find the entrance so we passed the driveway when we first arrived. A big marker would have helped. Also used soap bars, dirty kitchen sponge, and garbage in the kitchen bin were left. A small amount of food (butter and flour) was left behind. Although we were notified before our arrival about a large carpet stain in the living room, overall I felt the cleanliness of the home was not on par with other VRBO homes we have stayed in.
