Stayed Sep 4, 2020While I really wanted to glove the property due to the awesome location at Rosemary beach, the rental needed quite a bit of TLC. We had a few recessed lights hanging and signs of wear and tear. Great location but this place needs work

Stayed May 30, 2020The calling card of this property is the location and the view. By far , the best view is from the second floor balcony off the master bedroom. However, the kitchen and den are on the first floor so if you want to enjoy this area with coffee, wine etc. you have to bring it back up the 22 steps to the second floor. Given the amount of steps needed to navigate this floor plan, I am not sure it would be an ideal situation for anyone with mobility issues . And I would bring a baby gate if you have toddlers . We are very familiar with Rosemary Beach having rented many homes there for 10 years. So, we were aware of the parking challenges it presents. The home has a 2 car garage. We only had one car. One side of the garage is completely full of furniture so that was not usable. The other side had a cabinet at the front of it so our car was sticking out of the back of the garage not allowing it to close ( Audi Q7). A young couple with an 13 month old baby was renting the guest house. They were issued a parking ticket because they had to park on the road. The mom was upset so we allowed them to park in the one available spot and we parked right behind them. We showed them where we would put the key if they needed to move our car which had to block them into the garage. The kitchen has absolutely no storage. We had to put some grocery staples on the floor of the small closet that contained the air conditioner . All of the cabinets are VERY high . In fact, I had to use a step ladder to put things away . Even my husband was on tip toes to retrieve a plate or such. There is 1 (!) 12 inch skillet. No 8 or 10 inch so if you want to cook an egg, you use the one large skillet. No salt , pepper, trash bags, coffee filters so be prepared to bring everything. The den is TINY. We only had three adults there the entire time ( so one bedroom was never used) and it is a tight situation. There is much that needs to be repaired from the rusted shutters on the porches that will not close completely ( the houses in Rosemary are VERY CLOSE so we got to know our neighbors as we sat on the porch because we could not completely shut them). The door knobs are completely rusted and come off in your hand as you shut them each day. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are very nice. This is a great location but this house needs some attention.

Stayed Mar 2, 2020Schulz Cottage was amazing. Very clean, kitchen fully stocked, beds, pillows, and linens were top notch, seating was very comfortable, and the location which is to the east side of Rosemary was very quiet. The view was something to behold for sure. We will definitely stay here again.
