Stayed Oct 10, 2025Cute little bungalow. Location was good as far as proximity to college etc, but was a little sketchy as far as the population. Under cabinet lighting would be nice as the only other option was really bright lights in morning before coffee was not optimal. the sitting arrangements were limited as only one small love seat for watching TV. A recliner or another chair with ottoman would be nice. Missed opportunities in the bedroom as the massive bed takes up most of the space leaving no room for bedside tables. No luggage rack to place luggage. The air conditioning unit (worked great) gave off a really bright light at night. I am one of those that must have darkness. Really nice utility room with W&D. Waste of space as a stackable would have been sufficient and space utilized for a larger bedroom. Bed was really comfortable but pillows were very uncomfortable for me. Bathroom was another missed opportunity as very small counter space on vanity, could have easily had another 12-18 of counter space to the left of vanity. No washcloths, looked everywhere, no washcloths. This remains a mystery. Couldn't find any Kleenex. The only outlet in the bathroom did not work. The electronic lock on the front door did not work as the door needs to be adjusted. Overall, perfect for one person. Would be difficult to stay here for more than 2 nights with 2 people. Finishes were really well done. Super clean! Restaurant recommendations would be nice.

Stayed Jun 28, 2024Overall happy with my experience and the host has excellent responsiveness. Two issues need to be fixed. Bedroom AC is insufficient - separate stand alone and did not keep up. Second problem is the king bed is in a very tight space leaving no room for a nightstand on either side. This is a real problem when you have a CPAP.

Stayed Jul 28, 2023To be honest, it doesn’t look like much from the outside. But once you step through the gate, it turns into a private paradise. The place was well appointed, in a very good location, and the listing was accurate. If I had one concern, it would be that the bed is a little too big for the space that it’s in. All in all, we had a great time!

Stayed Dec 24, 2021The cleanliness and the edible pecans scattered around the little patio area that squirrels and grackles knock out of trees were extra boons. Some glitches that can be fixed: bathroom door doesn't fully close or lock; bed so huge there's no place except floor to put glasses, alarm clock, or other things you might want to access without getting up; for the same reason, no place for a reading lamp near the bed, just an overhead light with switch across the room; right sink if somewhat filled with water drains a stream into the cabinet below). Only real complaint is that it was advertised at $85/night but actually costs $186/night, due to non-refundable fees and taxes, including a property damage fee that isn't refundable even if property isn't damaged, which doesn't seem right.

Stayed Dec 5, 2021Upon driving up, it was worrisome but the house was super cute in backyard and inside! Location was perfect for trips to the TTIHSC campus. Had all the amenities of home including washer and dryer. A fantastically comfortable bed and comforter set. It was quiet which was conducive for studying. Enjoyed my stay!

Stayed Nov 19, 2021This property has a lot of things going for it ... -inside decor is super cute and definitely does not match the outside aesthetic of this property - king-sized bed is really comfy and agree with other reviewers that the bedding is terrific too - appreciated much of the attention to details like bath products in the shower, laundry detergent, dish washing liquid, aluminum wrap in the kitchen, basic cooking supplies, dishes & cutlery on hand. The outside of this place is a bit daunting & check your arrival instructions carefully. The entrance to this unit is most definitely on the far back side of the property - best to enter from the alley actually. DO NOT try to enter through the back door/gate in the carport ... that actually belongs to the front rental. If you try to enter there, you'll be disturbing other renters. The location of this property is convenient to campus and Red Raider activities but may seem sketchy to some. Lots of homeless foot traffic around and perhaps a soup kitchen or shelter across the street, Lots of locks on the property to help keep you safe but the outside vibe still has some room to improve. The property really only sleeps 2. Sleeper sofa is there but don't count on it as a comfortable sleeping option. This would be a terrific upgrade for the property as it otherwise has room to accommodate 2-4 people. And finally, a word of caution to anyone who is not petite in size. The bed is a really tight fit in the bedroom. Worked for us but we're small people. Anyone of any size at all would not be able to get into the bed without climbing over the footboard to do so. The bathroom is a tight squeeze also. I think this property has great potential. Level the floors before laying in that floor tile! Invest in a new sleeper sofa! Add some coat hooks, another towel bar or hooks, and another mirror somewhere to accommodate more people getting ready at the same time. And make sure renters know to enter from the back alley side of the address and it is sure to please.
