Walk the Trail to Oval Beach

This was one of our favorite VRBO rentals ever! The home was cozy and well kept. Super comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, thoughtfuldecor, great showers, and inviting lighting. The location is terrific. You feel secluded and tucked away in the woods, yet you are walking distance to the beach and into town via the ferry. We took our dog who instantly felt right at home. The perfect relaxing long weekend. We were making plans for a return visit before we left. The only addition I might suggest would be some creamers with the coffee station in case you want to make coffee before you’ve stopped at the grocery store. We truly loved our stay and would highly recommend. We also found the guide book incredibly helpful!

Absolutely loved staying at Skov Hus! Beautiful house, appointed with everything we needed for our stay. Kitchen functioned wonderfully for the nights that we stayed in to cook.

Our family had such a lovely time staying here! Perfect location for privacy but just minutes away from the beach and downtown areas. The large windows in the back overlooking the woods was our favorite part. So peaceful and a great space for our party of 5 and dogs. We’ll be back again!

Tucked away among towering trees, this home feels less like a rental and more like stepping into a hidden woodland retreat from a storybook. From the moment you arrive, there’s an incredible sense of peace which makes you instantly exhale and slow down. The floor-to-ceiling windows completely blur the line between indoors and out, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding forest in every direction. Waking up to the soft morning light filtering through the trees felt absolutely magical.

We booked this weekend to meet up with my husband's friends for his birthday. He has had a rough year, including back surgery, a cancer diagnosis, and subsequent cancer surgery. The peacefulness of SKOVHUS was just what he needed to get some of his happy back. We played games, watched the wilderness, and each night went to sleep in our very comfy bed, only to wake up surrounded by the Saugatuck sunshine. The house was beautifully appointed, and we felt right at home. Thank you for the stay, we will be back!

We had such a lovely time at SKOVHUS last Thanksgiving, that we repeated the trip again this year. A cozy fire, gently falling snow and a lit Christmas tree made for another wonderful winter escape.

Skovhus is a great property with a quaint cabin vibe that feels secluded in the woods while also located an easy 10 min walk in either direction to oval beach and downtown Saugatuck. The best of both worlds. Special thanks to the management/maintenance teams for quickly responding to our requests.

The home is absolutely stunning! We had a series of unfortunate events that made our stay less than great. The team was responsive but it wasn’t easy getting ahold of them given our urgent situations and that was frustrating. However, the environment was everything you could hope for. Thick tree canopy. Modern and stylish interior. Great for an escape from the world.

Amazing and beautiful views of Michigans most scenic landscapes. The property was just as described and even had some unexpected wildlife visitors visible from the yard, LOTS of deer!

Skovhus was an incredible stay—beautifully designed, serene, and equipped with every amenity needed for comfort. The property strikes the perfect balance between modern luxury and cozy charm, and the way the views are situated to the outdoors is stunning. Management communication was excellent, making the experience seamless. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

Our holiday in skovhus was everything we hoped for -- & more! Mother Nature brought us snow globe snow, making for the perfect backdrop for cozy days spent in front of the fire. The warm glow of the Christmas tree was an extra special surprise! The accommodations were clean, modern, and very inviting. Looking forward to a return to skovhus!

We enjoyed our time at Skovhus as it was a wonderful property in a perfect location. Close to the beach & downtown Saugatuck; well-appointed house & incredibly well stocked with spices, coffee bar, teas, etc.; cozy and very clean! We had everything we needed and will be returning as soon as we can.

Hi- we had the opportunity to stay at skovhus and absolutely loved our time there! For us, it checked all the boxes- secluded in the woods (for the relaxing vibe), close to the beach and downtown, clean and updated home, and enough space for our two young kids to explore and have their own areas. What was also appreciated was all the info provided to us by the management team prior to our stay so we could thoughtfully plan out our trip. We will definitely be returning sometime soon!

We stayed at this property for 4 nights, and we were blown away with the beauty and amenities this property offered. Art Coast, did and amazing job making sure every detail was perfect, and everything was thought of. We loved cooking in the gourmet kitchen, and relaxing in the spa bathroom. The home is situated in a stunning private forest setting and we loved watching wild deer and other creatures from the comfort of the living room. While the house feels secluded, it is so close to all things Saugatuck; the beach, downtown, hiking and much more. Definitely looking forward to staying here again.
