Stayed Oct 10, 2025Spacious, nice layout, bed was comfortable with just right pillows. Location was perfect for a nice walk to downtown. The off street parking was just right for our car. The location was a bit noisy being under the flight path and on Market street during the day. However, the noise went away before bed time. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Sep 8, 2025We very much enjoyed our stay at this historic home! The host graciously provided ample supplies of everyday items as well as towels. Our dog was comfortable with the porch and fenced side yard. The location was perfectly situated for site seeing and within walking distance of the waterfront, restaurants, and wonderful coffee house, Concorde Espresso Bar. We delighted in the fact that it was a fifteen minute walk to the waterfront and our vehicle never left the driveway!

Stayed Jul 29, 2025Great Kitchen set up with all the necessities, lots of privacy at the back entrance and a very comfortable bed, pillows etc. (For all you hot sleepers it was cotton bedding. No microfiber sheets! Amazing! ) Loads of clean towels available and complimentary toiletries in case you forgot your shampoo.Very simply but decorated but still cute. (which is great for baby proofing etc) It was the perfect location for us to stay near downtown but with the privacy of being several blocks back from the water. I will look to rent again if back in Wilmington.

Stayed Jul 9, 2025Great location, close to anything you would need from eating, groceries, gas and shopping in general. Walking around the area is really nice, cute homes and a great deal of history. The home itself is super cute and comfy, especially for its age! Craig was very accommodating and let us check in earlier, as we got in town Way ahead of schedule! Home stayed cool with the AC in this crazy heat and the kitchen is really nice. The back yard is small so your vehicle will take up some space if you park behind the gate/fence. Now we have a pretty tall jeep with wide tires that barely got in there lol but it did and that is own us ;) It was still nice to be able to just walk out with our small dogs and let them go potty. We were only here for a business type trip but would def stay here again if we ever came back!

Stayed May 9, 2025The property was exactly as described. The codes worked well for both the gate and house. Very clean and well appointed with everything we could have needed. There was a good bit of traffic noise on Market Street but the sound machine helped. We enjoyed our time at 702 Market Street

Stayed May 5, 2025My wife and I spent 4 days in this charming old home built in 1868. Located in a beautiful historic area that's only a 15 minute walk to downtown Wilmington. We both loved staying in this house. We highly recommend this place for a couple wanting to visit Wilmington.

Stayed Oct 29, 2024First trip to Wilmington. Not knowing much about the city, we were pleased how was well suited it was to walking to the downtown/river front. The inside was as presented on VRBO and very comfortable. We had our 2 dogs with us - they really enjoyed the enclosed courtyard as did we! Our host was easy to communicate with. Highly recommended this property.

Stayed Oct 9, 2024The Antebellum House was everything that my wife and I were looking for when traveling to Wilmington with our 2 year old golden retriever. We were within walking distance of the Riverwalk and the historical downtown area where there are plenty of delicious restaurants with outdoor patio seating. The house was also a great location for small day trips to Carolina Beach and Southport. There is no shortage of things to do or go see in the area and the house is centrally located to accommodate anything on your itinerary. The house itself also has many of the things you could think of possibly needing during your stay (sound machine, ear plugs, furnished kitchen, ample supply of paper towels and toilet paper). The house is a beautiful and unique and was so cozy that it made us feel right at home. If we are ever traveling to Wilmington again, we will certainly be looking to see if this house is available as we would love to stay there again!

Stayed Sep 28, 2024What better place to stay in Wilmington than the Historic District? Very charming house, comfortable, and well-provisioned. My pet allergy kicked in because I was a knucklehead and didn’t realize the house was pet friendly! My bad, that’s what happens when I “speed read.” Anyhoo, nice place to stay and thanks to the hosts!

Stayed Sep 12, 2024The property is clean and well maintained. It is about 5-7 blocks to downtown and boardwalk area. Cute little backyard to relax. Craig is prompt to answer questions and we enjoyed the restaurant recommendations. The bed is very comfortable. It is located on a street with lots of traffic even at night. The sound machine helps, however our home is in the country so a bit of a change for us to have traffic noise while sleeping. That was the only negative for us and not a reflection on the accommodations otherwise. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Stayed Jul 20, 2024Living space was clean and very pleasant. If you are one person or just a couple, this place is perfect for you. Be aware that parking is limited. As stated you can park inside the gate but there is little to no parking available in the area. We did manage to sqeeze our Tahoe into the back yard area, but if we couldn't, we would have had to park around the block. Perfect for a small car. The advertisement can be miss leading due to calling it an Antebellum House. Yes it is an Antebellum House, but you are only renting the downstair area which consists of 1 bedroom, living room, kitchen and bath. The area is spacious having the huge double doors and high ceilings. I wanted to cook for family but the area just wasn't practical for that purpose. I small antique Pie Table with 4 chairs. The table is beautiful but not practical to eat from. 1 couch with 2 dining chairs in a corner in the living area. The kitchen is cute as a button but dishes and cookware was limited for our purposes. It was great having a stacked washer and dryer available. This place may not have suited our needs exactly, but I would definitely recommend it for one person or a couple. It was priced right. The owner left good information for access and use of remotes and lighting. It's had to imagine this home is almost 175 years old. The woodwork is amazing but I certaining wondered what was behind the red front doors and what the staircase may have looked like. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed Jul 24, 2024We enjoyed the stay. Really nice to have them provide an umbrella and 2 chairs for the beach as well as bbq pit. It was a fun trip and wouldn't mind coming back to being a guest at this place.
