Crawfordville, Florida
Relax, Unwind, Reconnect in this sunny cottage. Tucked back on 2 acres, we call this private and spacious home our “Treehouse “ with private decks and porches nestled in the tree canopies. It’s the perfect vacation home
This cheery, newly renovated, well-appointed 1.5-story sunlit cottage offers 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Tucked back on a private wooded lot in a neighborhood that runs along the banks of the beautiful Spring-fed Wakulla River. Conveniently close to parks, the wildlife refuge, the beach and Tallahassee, there is so much to see and do within 15-30 minutes; but once you arrive, you may not want to leave this charming cottage!
Enjoy morning coffee on one of the many decks and dine outdoors or enjoy family time on the porch high up in the trees. This immaculate home is just a short 4 minute walk to the river where two kayaks await you for a morning paddle where you will see turtles, the occasional manatee, egrets and herons.
Our home is perfectly located for quick access to state parks, rivers, beaches, and Tallahassee.
This spacious, private cottage offers the perfect space for a getaway to explore the rich, natural resources of this unique area of North Florida panhandle.
My husband and I stayed at this property while visiting friends and family in Tallahassee. We loved being so close to the river and having access to a canoe. The property is very quiet and in a lovely quiet neighborhood. We had everything we needed during our stay. The home is updated and beautiful.
We came to St Marks for a Mother/Daughter getaway!! It was just perfect!!! This home had everything you could need and more!! The personal touches were amazing!! Fresh baked goodies for breakfast!!! Such a wonderful touch!! The cleanliness of this home was excellent!!! We explored the beautiful area and looked forward to coming back to our beautiful, private home. Thank you for sharing this amazing getaway!!!!!
Very clean, comfortable, well appointed and fun things to do nearby. The host has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. There was even a new toothbrush available for my son. Convenient to Tallahassee and all it has to offer. Wakulla Springs State park is a must see. A jump off the platform is refreshing. If our travels take us to this area we won’t hesitate to book again.
We had a great stay. The house was very well stocked. The neighborhood has river access with a boat ramp just down the road that we used for paddling. The owners and the locals were both very helpful and we really enjoyed our visit.
This house was delightful. Crisp, clean and friendly. The beds were super comfortable...the outside decks allowed you to watch the local wildlife and hear all of the sounds of the woods and river creatures. Our host was so very accommodating, helpful and always pleasant. If I am ever staying in the area again, I will try availability for this house.
Beautifully maintained property. There was a lovely welcome basket waiting when we arrived. The Hostess(Sarah) was so thoughtful and made sure we had all we needed. Also she checked on us during a storm to make sure we were all okay. Our stay was definitely 5 stars and more!!!
Great little getaway
This place is a bit off the beaten path. However, this is a fabulous home. We enjoyed the wildlife and peace and quiet. The owners are local and were helpful in finding things to do and places to see. We felt at home here. This the place to stay.
If you’re an outdoor enthusiast this property will not disappoint you. It is minutes away from hiking, biking, and kayaking opportunities. If you’re a nature lover and want peace and quiet you don’t have to leave the property. The host goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. The house was very clean simply beautiful.
In 20 years of VRBO stays, this house is the most perfect ever. The location was quiet and secluded, the house was spotlessly clean, the beds and furniture were comfortable. With Sarah's attention to detail and warm welcome we felt at home. Nearby Wakulla Springs was one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen. Unspoiled Gulf front and state and national parks provided many opportunities to explore. Don't miss a visit to the lodge.
This property is very comfortable with all anyone could want to relax and prepare meals. The bedrooms allow you to view the woods and wildlife, plus allow fresh air and birdsong to enter through the patio doors. The screened patios were my favorite hangout. The best part was the short drive to St. Marks NWR where I spent every day birding and viewing other wildlife. Most birders known that St Marks NWR is a hotspot for winter migratory birds. The house and the birding exceeded all my expectations! Thank you to my awesome hosts who made my stay more than exceptional.
Loved staying at this secluded place in the woods in a spectacular natural beauty area. The host was very attentive to detail, and the place had everything we could want. We’ll want to be coming back for a future Florida vacation.
This is our 2nd stay, and we will definitely be back. The setting, the proximity to FSU, and the comfort of this house is the best in the area.
While our Seminoles did not get the W, this peaceful home was a winner! This is the cleanest rental we have ever visited, and it is only about 30 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Florida State. Let your kids go to Recess while you enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful home. We will be back!
Little oasis in the middle of the woods. FSU parent's weekend. My hubby, son and I were able to unwind in the very clean and very organized two bedroom cottage. The owners were very communicative and even left delicious little muffins for our arrival. The cottage was spacious enough to have a few of my son's friends over for a little brunch. Great place to unwind and I would highly recommend staying here.
Our family stopped in Wakulla on our way from NC to Port St. Joe. It was such a perfect little retreat! The house was clean and beautiful. It was updated and modern. And the kitchen was stocked with everything but food! It made cooking so enjoyable. Our daughter loved the wildlife we were able to see on our trip. Deer, frogs, and bugs in the yard. And while kayaking (the hosts provided kayaks), we saw turtles, birds, and two small alligators! We missed seeing some otters, but some neighbors said they saw some earlier in the day. Sarah was a wonderful host and made communication easy. She even left us fresh citrus muffins as a welcome gift! It was very sweet and kind and the muffins were delicious. Definitely check out the Wakulla Springs and go on the boat tour. It’s so close and a beautiful day trip. The boat tour was fun and we saw so much wildlife (including manatees). We went swimming in the spring (it’s cold!) and grabbed some ice cream at the Wakulla Springs hotel. Perfect for kids and adults! Our family would definitely recommend staying here. If we ever find ourselves back this way, we’d stay here again! Thank you Sarah and the Hundley family!
This was the perfect relaxing get away we needed. Lots of porch area front and back for relaxing and watching the birds and deer, for grilling, orning coffee or family memory shar time.
We came from out of state to re-connect with some family and friends, and needed a peaceful place for us all to spend time together. We could not have picked a better place! The Hundley family defines the word 'Gracious!' They truly thought of everything we could possibly need, down to the tiniest detail. And the personal little touches made us feel welcome and happy to be there! We hope to return again...and again! Thanks, Sarah, Ridge, and Liam!
