This cottage oozes with charm! Lots of room. Pool is small but was very refreshing. Great hosts. We got ourselves locked out and they came right over to let us back in

The house was beautiful and even better than expected. The house was decorated beautifully. The house is located within minutes to downtown McKinney. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed our stay.

The house was wonderful and accomadated all our needs. Beds were very comfortable. If we visit again we would look to book the house. Wonderful neighborhood.

This place has it all! It was absolutely stunning, in a prime location, and gave a warm and cozy cottage-feel. Very clean and the host was responsive and accommodating. I didn’t want to leave! We will definitely stay here again if we come back to McKinney!

House was beautiful and relaxing! Very quiet at night but only a one mile walk to the restaurants and shops of downtown McKinney. The signs of a great host are not just when things go right but also problem solving when things go wrong. The dryer was not functioning and was a very much needed amenity for our 11 day stay. When the problem with the dryer was texted to Alisa she responded promptly with things to try, came over within an hour, then offered to dry the wet items at her house and had repairs to the dryer completed by a repair person as rapidly as possible- a couple of days. I am highly appreciative of VRBO hosts who partner with guests to rapidly resolve any issues/problems! Alisa is awesome!

The host was delightful and available. All four of us, women in our 50’s to 70’s, immensely enjoyed this fabulous home! It was beautifully appointed and the outdoor area was so large with comfortable seating! The grounds were well maintained! Definitely we will go back to this home! Deborah

Lovely and charming historical house. The beds were comfy and the many bedrooms gave a place for the girls to retreat at the end of the night. Disappointed the weather turned rainy and cold because the outdoor space is splendid. Would love to come back and enjoy the home again. Hosts were also a 10 out of 10 in communication.

This was my second stay at Waddill Cottage. This was a girl’s trip and we enjoyed the awesome outdoor space. The house is so cozy, has a great kitchen and very comfortable beds. It is so close and handy to the downtown Square and all the great shopping there. I would recommend this house to a group of eight or less for a fun weekend trip or a longer family getaway!

We had a lovely time! The outdoor area was perfect for relaxing with friends, and with a few bedrooms we were all able to have our own space.

This beautiful cottage has the charm of yesteryear mixed with everything you need to relax and enjoy your visit. The beds were top notch & extremely comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped for creating delicious meals, and so many little extras are found in every room to add to your comfort. So many great options for enjoying the outdoor oasis this home offers. The hosts, John & Alisa, are very attentive, accommodating, and want their guests leave happy. Overall, this house was the PERFECT spot for a girl weekend for a group of thirty-somethings. The pool was refreshing, and perfect for an afternoon listening to music, drinking cold beverages, and getting some sunshine. Our hosts were responsive & kind.The house was well furnished and had plenty of space for us to each have our own areas. It was close to downtown McKinney which had cute stores, coffee shops, nightlife, and ice cream. We had a lovely weekend catching up and relaxing.

The place is amazing! So well decorated, had everything we could possibly need. Beautiful inside and out. The pool is the PERFECT size and the outdoor area is amazing even in the summer heat. Perfect for our family stay!

Everything we needed to have a memorable stay-cation. Love the neighbor and proximity to downtown McKinney. Comfortable beds for everyone with extra quilts for comfort. Large island great for meal prep. Hours spent sitting around dining table surrounded by adorable window shutters, beautiful antique pieces and chandler! It was pretty hot (Texas in August) so we didn’t sit on porches too long but would be a great gathering place other times of the year. Three generations of ladies felt pampered all weekend…:)

Booked this home for a little girls staycation and it could not have been more perfect!! Communication with the hosts is easy and prompt from booking to check out. The house itself is so well decorated it doesn’t feel like an empty rental, it has a cozy lived in feel and made for the perfect backdrop for our girlie pop weekend. The house was big enough that we never got cabin fever, utilized every inch from the porch swings to the pool, front porch to the spacious gazebo. The kitchen was well stocked, even had an infusion pitcher perfect for sangria, baking plates for cinnamon rolls, plenty of coffee grounds to get through the mornings and cups for the pool and cute photos. We played card games on the spacious dining table, lounged in the living room and watched movies when it rained, sunned in the pool while watching the cardinals feed their babies in a nest in the gazebo. My favorite part of this trip was drinking sangria on the front porch watching the neighborhood with the girls during a thunderstorm. The beds were absolutely cozy, the AC worked well, the check in process was easy and we had absolutely everything we needed for an absolutely memorable weekend!

Fantastic place. Beautiful old-school-cottage-like house. Old timey light fixtures, decor, etc. Very comfortable though. Everything works great. Wood floors, big kitchen. All the beds very comfortable. Then there’s the outside patio area… BOOM! Fantastic, plenty of seating. Can’t say enough about that patio area… really takes the place over the top. Pool is pretty small (you won’t be doing laps in it) which was great for us because we have 3 grand babies that all need floaties, so the size of the pool made it easy to keep all the kiddos corralled. But the pool is plenty big enough for everyone to get in and cool off in the Texas summer (we stayed for July 4th). Also: there is a small gate that surrounds the pool area that the little ones can’t get through or climb over. This makes grandma and grandpa very happy! Overall, LOVED the place.

Lovely, comfortable and had everything we needed. Four spaces for great conversations, inside and outside. Huge windows and a lot of light, blooming roses and hanging bird houses.

This was the perfect house for our girls weekend in McKinney! We were able to walk to downtown for the farmers market and lunch and then had a nice relaxing afternoon out by the pool! We would definitely stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Waddell Cottage!!! It had everything we needed for a girls weekend-so much character and charm! The pool was perfect for cooling down, and the outdoor area was fantastic! Being so close to downtown McKinney was a huge plus. We are planning on returning to Waddill Cottage in the future.

Mom and sisters were in town for my daughter’s wedding. The house was perfect and in a great lo cation. So much better than staying at a hotel!

The Waddill Cottage was such a great house in which to relax and enjoy ourselves while in town for a family wedding. The large kitchen was well appointed with anything we would need for meals. We loved the outdoor spaces .... the spacious front porch in the mornings and the back covered patio in the afternoons and evenings. The beds were comfy. We loved the large living room and dining room since we were there with my sister and her husband, and much playing of games and visiting was done! We walked to the downtown a couple of times, which was fun. The owners, John and Alysa, were responsive and easy to communicate with when we had questions, etc. We are so glad we chose this house to settle in while in McKinney!

We loved this house so much! There was plenty of space for all of us. There was so much character and it was in a beautiful neighborhood. The backyard was gorgeous with plenty of seating. It's also so close to downtown McKinney. Highly recommend staying here!

The 1920s cottage was very charming! It is located in a mature and peaceful neighborhood conveniently only about one mile from the downtown historic & cultural district where shopping and restaurants abound. The cottage was spacious with comfortable furnishings and rooms. We enjoyed the swings on both the front and back porches. We took refreshing plunges in the swimming pool too! Communications with the host were easy & flawless. Highly recommended.

I booked this cottage for a wedding weekend for my husband and me, our son, and my parents. The house was exactly as shown online. Lovely accommodations and very responsive host. Highly recommend this location if you’re planning a trip to McKinney!

We had four generations at this wonderful home. My 92 year old Aunt, two daughters and granddaughters enjoyed staying here. It was so much fun looking at all your special touches that made us feel right at home. We were close enough to town for my granddaughters to walk to town. We visited Texas Tulips. You must visit this place.

This 1900s house has some serious charm! Absolutely adorable. It was perfect for our group! There was outdoor seating in two different areas, plenty of indoor seating, and enough linens for our whole group! It was right around the corner from downtown McKinney, which is where we spent most of our time eating and looking in shops. It’s also easy to get to the highway for anyone wanting to head to Allen or Dallas. The owners were easy to connect with if I had any questions.We loved our stay and we will definitely be back!

My husband and I arranged this home for our parents and uncles for a family wedding. What an incredible place! Gorgeous decor from room to room. Great AC/Heat. Beautiful Yard and so many areas to sit and visit. We loved our time here and can't wait to come back. Host was very responsive and available. Fabulous location and hosts! We were in McKinney for our son’s wedding. The cottage was the place for our stay. Everything we needed was in the hosts, the outdoor entertaining area is perfect.

We selected the Wadill Cottage as our home for the week before a family wedding. We couldn't have chosen a better place to make new family memories. Morning coffee on the quaint and cozy porch and cocktails and fires to wrap up the day in their outdoor oasis were just what the Doctor ordered! There was nothing they didn't have! The town of McKinney is as charming as can be with easy access to shopping and highways. If you're looking for fantastic BBQ ... don't miss the opportunity to eat at Hutchins BBQ. John and Alisa were the best hosts. We will definitely come back here!

Cute house in quiet neighborhood. We spent most of our time by the pool and outdoor living space. One mile from Historic Downtown…great location.

My girlfriends and I were in town for a wedding, and we were just so obsessed with this place. It was so perfect for the six of us—downtown McKinney was adorable, and the walk to get there wasn’t horrible at all. Had it not been so hot, we would’ve done it more. We loved being able to hang out together at home, and the pool area was to die for. The hosts were excellent and very communicative. Perfect stay!

We stayed Wed - Sun for our daughter's wedding outside of McKinney. The house was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and a lovely retreat. It was well stocked, and the coffee bar was a hit with all of us. I had a couple questions during our stay, and the property manager was quick to reply to my texts. Great location close to downtown as well. We would stay here again. Thank you!

We came to McKinney for our son’s wedding and stayed at this beautiful family cottage. There were 7 adults and 2 children and it was perfect for us. The house was well stocked with everything we needed…the host was amazing…and the outdoor areas and porches gave us tons of options to hang out. I can’t recommend this house enough. You will not be disappointed.
