Waynesboro, Virginia
Tranquility meets beauty at this historic home located within minutes of the Blue Ridge Parkway, Shenandoah National Park, Wintergreen, and countless wineries and breweries. The entire home and spacious yard are yours to enjoy. Relax in the newly updated rooms decorated with lovely art. Fully stocked kitchen, fast WiFi, and two porches. A 10-minute walk will take you to downtown Waynesboro, restaurants, coffee shops, and the two-mile Greenway Trail on the South River.
This is a two-story brick house built in 1910 with beautiful craftsman details and original wood flooring. The 10-foot ceilings give it a spacious feel, but expect the bathrooms to be a bit smaller than modern standards. Part of the charm of the house is its history, and its nuances are those of a bygone era. The house is centrally heated. A/C is provided by three brand-new, low-profile window units, one in each bedroom. We've found that running the units and keeping the bedroom doors open keeps the whole house cool. You are also welcome to skip the A/C and open the windows at night to allow in the cool Blue Ridge Mountain air.
