Stayed Apr 28, 2025Pros: Host provided fresh strawberries and vegetables (in season from his garden). Fast food and shopping nearby. Not far from the mountains (Shenandoah National Park). Not far from Charlottesville (University of Virginia). A couple of hours from Washington. 1 mile walking path around the property. Cons: Active train track crosses the driveway- source of noise a couple of times per day. Mixed: Highway nearby. Provides easy travel, but also near constant source of traffic noise. I was in the area for the funeral of my brother, and also took some time for quiet reflection, soul searching, along with a little hiking. Stayed 4 days. Will hopefully be able to return when there is no funeral involved!

Stayed Mar 20, 2026This is a beautiful property perfect for a weekend getaway. We had a wonderful stay with our family of four and two dogs. The dogs adored running around the fenced yard and we all loved sitting outside and enjoying the peaceful property. Communication was excellent and everything was clean and as described. We would definitely stay again next time we are in the area!

Stayed Mar 17, 2026It was a quiet house with expansive views. There’s a trail by the house that’s perfect for walking yourself or with your fury friends. The walk borders a stream and provides nice views of the farm. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. I highly recommend if you want a place that feels like it’s off the beaten path but actually close to everything you need.

Stayed Feb 13, 2026House had not been recently cleaned. The inside of the kitchen refrigerator had to be cleaned. The bathtub had dead flies in it. The laundry room refrigerator had 3 rotted cabbages in it. The kitchen freezer had a pie shell in it, an open can of what looked like bacon grease, and an ice pack that had mold on it. Pots and pans had burnt residue on them. Silverware had old food on it and the drawers that had shelf paper; the shelf paper was stained. We basically spent Friday night cleaning and lining the drawers with paper towels. Renters should be aware that there is a freight train line about 50 yards from the house where it crosses a road. Several times during the day and twice after midnight you can expect a freight train to rumble through and blow its' horn twice (a requirement for trains approaching a road crossing). Would not recommend.

Stayed Aug 3, 2025What a beautiful property! It's just as described, but we couldnt believe how gorgeous the home was. Everything was neat and the host thought of nearly everything that we would need! The coffee selection was an amazing touch. We have another stay coming up at the end of this week and we are already talking about how much we are looking forward to it.

Stayed Dec 29, 2024My brother and I stayed here a couple of nights after Christmas with our dogs. It is very close to downtown Waynesboro, and Staunton and Charlottesville are a short drive away. As the title states this place is really cozy, and there's a big back yard for the dogs to run around. The beds are huge and comfortable, and it has all the amenities that you need. I live in Durham NC and love coming to this area - Michael is a great host, and I plan on coming back to this place on my next visit.

Stayed Nov 27, 2024This was a perfect home to stay for our family gathering for Thanksgiving with our dog. Loved the fenced in areas for her. The open living area was great to have as well as the bedroom on the first floor (a necessity for one of our family members) Lovely second floor bathroom, though was connecting master bedroom with the bedroom with twin beds. A very clean and stocked kitchen with utensils, pots/pans ,coffee maker, towels etc.. Really enjoyed walking the loop around the farm. Close to town but feeling far away..loved it! Our host, Michael, was communicative, and concerned about any needs we may have had. I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend.

Stayed Oct 11, 2024This was a nice place! Pet friendly meant that one of us, who is allergic to dogs reacted the whole time. Also the fact that the bedroom with twins could only be accessed through another room and bathroom was not clear. The house was nice and the owner was courteous. We will not be back because of the allergies, but that is on me. First time I used Vrbo.

Stayed Aug 5, 2024We rented this farmhouse to give our young adult children a place to get away and play their tabletop games for a concentrated period of time. The house had everything they needed and was a private place where they could play without worrying whether they were disturbing anyone else. They were so grateful for this place and time.

Stayed Jul 24, 2024That one word sums it up. Our family just went on our first vacation together as adults with our pets and it was way beyond our expectations. We had the best time ever and we are already talking about when we can go back. I would recommend this place to anyone. Loved the house, the privacy, the nearby animals, and the one mile trail around the property. We had everything we could possibly need available. Do not hesitate a minute to plan your vacation here!
