Our third year staying in The Cottage was delightful. There's something for everyone: Beach, woods, and good food nearby. The location is perfect for visiting our local family who live off of Great Neck.If you're looking for a no frills, simple, quiet place to stay on the Chesapeake Bay, this is your spot. All the charm of a beach cottage; none of the fuss of fancy resorts.

We visited two years ago and held our promise that we would visit again. We knew it was great for our kids and the location to the beach is perfect a very short walk past a few houses. The neighbors were very nice as well! The additional A/C unit helped to keep the house cool more easily. Plenty of towels for the family and lots of beach equipment and toys. Our kids also enjoyed the board games and legos. It is also a short easy drive to Virginia Beach which we did one day to show the kids. The kids say they want to come back so that is a win!

The place was cute and clean. It has a backyard which is nice for the kids. Overall it was a great place and so close to a cute little beach that was semi private.

I absolutely loved this property. I wish I could wrap it up in a box and take it home with me. It was literally minutes from the beach, the aesthetic of the home was extremely inviting and cozy. I had ample space to stretch out, and the kitchen was well stocked. I was able to make a great meal for my husband and myself. It was relaxing to drink my coffee on the screened in porch. My only complaint was the water pressure – there was none. But I would return to this place and I would recommend it.

This was the perfect house for our family of four. Very close to the beach and very clean.

Nice clean and quiet place in an excellent location.

Perfect home for a small group. Great location with short walk to beach access directly outside the house. Everything needed for comfort was provided in the home. While we did t spend time cooking meals, everything needed was there. Comfortable beds, nice front porch for morning coffee, and an outside shower had we been here in the summer. Beautiful, mature trees in the yard and neighborhood. Wonderful stay, would definitely stay again! Thanks so much!

The cottage was sweet, comfortable. Just as described. However, we were informed upon check in that the dishwasher was broken and would not be fixed. I guess this was okay, we don’t use a dishwasher at home. We woke up on day #2 to a massive ant invasion. We did not have an emergency phone number to call. I had to google the host name and then find a phone number from her Facebook profile. She did not respond through the VRBO message and it took her about an hour and a half to return our phone call. We did not feel that the communication was good. Would have been nice if the host was easier to get in touch with.

Stayed here for a long weekend with my husband and 2yo. It's everything you could want for a place to stay with a toddler! Quiet neighborhood, a few houses from the beach, screened in porch. Big selection of toys, books, and movies was an unexpected bonus. Cottage is definitely older but in great shape. Would definitely stay again

Charming cottage very close to beach access. Walking access to strip mall with restaurant, small grocery & ice cream store. Also Walking access to trail for wooded National Park. Very nice stay all around.

This place is so cute, this was our third time staying here. It’s an easy 2 minute walk to the beach, and the shed has lots of beach stuff (bring an extra umbrella or tent though). The house is comfortable and clean. Definitely the vintage cottage feel, in a quiet neighborhood. The beach was not at all crowded any time we went and neighbors were friendly. Nice walking trail nearby too that we wish we had found earlier in our stay.

4th time staying here, great location!!

The cottage is clean with all the amenities you'd expect of beach cottage. The screened porch provides a lovely place to sit at the end of a beautiful beach day. The outdoor shower provides a private spot to wash off after a swim on the bay. The bunk room allows the kids a room of their own. The location is close enough to everything we needed. The neighborhood is quite. The neighbors are friendly.
