Vintage Bungalow - 1 Block to Beach Acesss

Kitchen had everything we needed. Trader Joes was pretty close by...

We had a lovely stay at Wendy & Paul’s place. The kitchen had everything! The home itself was well equipped with all the extras to make our stay as comfortable as our own home. Plenty of space for kids and inside was cozy. The garden/yard was tranquil and very relaxing to sit outside before or after a busy day exploring the area. The neighborhood is quiet and Moonlight Beach/StoneSteps and shops were all a short walk away. We certainly hope to stay here again on our future trips to Encinitas.

This stay was one of the best stays we’ve ever had. The property, location and the friendliness of the owners was beyond any expectation. The pictures really don’t capture just how charming and perfect this property is. We can’t wait to come again.

We were only there for 3 days and did not cook but the kitchen was fully stocked including a whole drawer if spices. We wanted for nothing..from toilet paper to rubber bands this house has everything you could ever need.. The location is great for walking to beach and restaurants and the house and garden are great.Wendy and Paul are friendly and helpful. A cute little house for 4 peope.

Felt like home 2 minutes after we walked in. The house is comfortable and clean, and the best equipped kitchen I've ever seen in a rental. The porch and yard are a wonderful way to enjoy the weather. We enjoyed walking back from the beach barefoot, it's that close.

Several things stood out for us -- the coziness of the house, the beauty of the yard and garden, the responsiveness of the hosts whenever we had questions.

Everything. I mean EVERYTHING! The place was immaculate and well appointed..so well in fact that we had to take a bunch of groceries back. Thanks, Wendy and Paul..for sharing this lovely place and for being such graceful and attentive hosts.

We just wrapped up a wonderful six-night stay here. The house is light-filled, cozy, quiet, comfortable, and equipped with everything a guest might need - including beach towels, chairs, and a cooler. Wendy is a caring host who made us feel entirely welcome. Loved having coffee outdoors on the deck overlooking the garden and walking around the corner to view the sunset every night. Easy street parking, close to the beach, convenient to town. Highly recommend!

One of our very favorite places to stay in the country! Comfortable, cozy, clean, close to the beach, downtown Encinitas and anything else you could want. Wonderful hosts. Can't say enough good things about this beautiful home.

It was very nice to meet Wendy (our Host.) She made us feel very welcome. They preserved the old beach cottage feel while making the home comfortable with modern conveniences. And grounds are lovely. We look forward to an opportunity to come back!

Lovely, comfortable house in a great neighborhood. The house is super well-equipped with everything you might need. Easy walk to coffee shop (Lofty's!), burritos (Juanita's!), Moonlight Beach. Would definitely stay ere again!

The house was amazing: great living room, dining room, kitchen, and patio. The garden is a paradise of palms and flowers. The proximity to the Stone Steps, Moonlight Beach, and restaurants and shopping is exceptional.

The place was great, loved the house and the grounds. Lots of beach toys, anything you need for cooking. Looking forward to staying again. Hosts were amazing.

Perfect older home charm with modern updates. This property had everything you could possibly need. Very well maintained property and the hosts Wendy and Paul are very welcoming. Quiet neighborhood and close to the beach. Landscaping made you feel like you are in your own oasis. Absolutely beautiful. Very happy with our choice of vacation property.

The house is a bit older than I anticipated, and hosts are closer to the house than I realized. Wendy and Paul are wonderful though and put out everything we needed for the kids. She even had ducks in the fountain and scooters for them to play on. They were friendly, but also gave us privacy. I was a little concerned about our noise from kids inside as I could hear us well from outside. Off street parking wasn’t obvious, but is available from the back. It was easier to park on the street. The neighborhood is beautiful and so close to both stone steps beach and moonlight. We walked many times. It was nice to feel surrounded by locals instead of just tourists. The yard was gorgeous and the kids enjoyed playing in it. It wasn’t completely fenced off like I thought, meaning the toddler could get out and made us extra cautious. The home is cozy, linens and towels were clean and comfortable. We had some cleanliness issues that could have been better, but informed Wendy and sounds like will be resolved. There were also ants in the kitchen if there were any crumbs. The house is a bit cluttered, but does have anything you might need. Overall, we really enjoyed the area and our stay.

The hosts are great people! A well stocked home not lacking for anything! A beautiful yard and home! Would stay there again!

We stayed for 6 nights in January. Loved the neighborhood walkability to several beaches and a good local taco shop. Excellent restaurant choices in Encinitas. Friendly and respectful host. Hope to return!

The property was great. The location was great. The owners were very helpful.

We had the best time staying at Wendy’ bungalows. It is a 3min walk to Stone Steps beach and in a lovely quiet residential street. The house is very homely, spotlessly clean and very well stocked with all the bits and pieces you often miss in a rental. Wendy was a great host and was available when needed for advice and super flexible with a couple of additional requests. The garden is very spacious for this part of the world and a tranquil haven to chill out or take an outdoor shower after a dip in the ocean. We will be back!

The house felt like home. Anything and everything we needed was right there in the home. The owners and the house were warm and welcoming. We were in town for only four nights visiting family with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Wish we had more time to enjoy the grounds of the house. It had beautiful flowers and trees; perfectly charming. The house was situated within short walking distance of two access points to the Pacific and to downtown Encinitas. This was the best experience we have had with an out-of-town rental. Wendy and Paul are wonderful.

Beautiful beachside cottage. Short walks away from amazing beaches and downtown Encinitas- the house is only matched by the incredible landscaping. Fantastic stay.

We were here for the birth of our first granddaughter and the house could not have been more perfect. Wendy and Paul have outfitted their home with everything you could possible need, definitely check in before you hit the grocery store. The basic items provided were incredibly generous. They live just behind the property so if you need anything at all, they are right there. It really felt like we were staying with family. And the location (to bury the lead) is perfect, steps from stone steps, a short walk to moonlight and beacons, made for a storybook visit. We will absolutely return!

Our family had the loveliest time at this beautiful and cozy spot. The garden is beyond compare and Wendy and Paul are thoughtful, lovely hosts. They went out of their way to see to our comfort - so very glad we had the chance to stay. Might have been our first visit but certainly won't be our last.
