Villa overlooking the countryside and castle

Beautiful views from the back patio. Spacious layout. Easy parking and walkable to everything. Very noisy and sofa bed is very uncomfortable. First night was double booked, and other group arrived first,, so we had to go to another accommodation.

Normally owner provide access code 24 hours in advance. The owner did not provide the access code in advance. I emailed 3 times the day prior to our stay up until 5 hours before check-in - no response. I called - no response. I contacted Expedia and they did not help because with VRBO it is under Home Stay. Home Stay also didn't want to help contact the owner. Hours before check in the owner finally answered his phone and said he broke his phone. He promised to send code 5 minutes before check in time at 3pm but code was received. Called again at 3:10pm and he said he had no access to internet then corrected himself and said he send the code which he didn't. If I didn't have his number I would still be waiting outside the apartment for the code. If you need peace of mind when booking an apartment then find another place. Apartment was modern, but noisy with dog barking early in the morning for hours and is located near a busy noisy highway. Nice view of castle, but don't like excuses from owner or not being able to have access in a timely manner.

We tried to either check in earlier or to drop off our luggage earlier, but we could not get hold of the host around the time we said we will arrive. Overall it is a great place to stay.

Amazing, lovely small house overlooking castle and old walled town. Brand new finishes, two bathrooms, beautiful balcony surrounding property, full kitchen. Huge TV and fast WiFi. Best property in our European trip. Only issue, if you have to mention one, is noise. Even though it has double glass windows, some noise from street transfers inside. Walking distance from castle, it made a great place to get to know Obidos.

Great Location close to everything you want to due or see. Easy to get to by driving in from the highway or walking from Castle. The only downside was it was very noisy from the neighboring unit. The building was not insolated very well but we found that same problem at all of our other stays in Portugal.

We only stayed one night in interesting Obidos. The accommodation was well designed, furnished and equipped, clean, comfortable and in a great location with a nice view of Obidos and the surrounding countryside. Certainly would recommend.

This was a perfect place for us to enjoy Obidos - great place that is as nice as the photos and just a short walk to the village walls.

The check in process was very stressfull. We did not recieved any check in information from the host and the host was not at the villa to meet us when we arrived at check in time. We called the houst multiple times but we were unable to reach them. We were on the phone with VRBO to find another place to stay when the next door nieghboor has able to help us contact the host spouce and get us into the villa. The host did call and apogized. Once we checked in we were very happy with the villa. It was exactly as show in the photos, very comfortable and beuatiful view of the walled city of Obidos. Other than the check in it we has a great stay.

Great, new and modern home. The view of the castle/vineyards/church from the patios is amazing! We loved everything about this home, except that it’s walls and roof are very thin and it’s directly on the N8 highway, so you do hear a lot of road noise day and night (slightly better in the middle of the night). No other faults, otherwise!

We enjoyed our stay at this nice clean apartment.
