Villa Marguerite

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in July 2025 here. The house is very generously sized, modern and clean. It has been renovated by the owners and has some lovely retained details from the original barn. The house is situated along a private driveway in the middle of the owners farmland and feels very tranquil and secluded, there are beautiful views out across the fields. The owners house and the other rental property are nearby but arranged so they do not overlook each other. Around the houses is the large heated pool, lovely pool house, games barn and orchard which we could pick fresh fruit from. Our children loved having so much space to safely roam free.The owners were so welcoming and hosted drinks one evening which was lovely to hear more about the farm and chance to ask about recommendations for things to do in the area.We found plenty of things to do within a 45min drive ; local walks, cycles along the riverside, castles, attractive towns, canoeing. It has less of the big tourist attractions than Sarlat-la-Caneda to the east (which we stayed last year) but as a result the places we visited were relatively quiet and unspoilt.

We had a really relaxing holiday in a high quality house, with a great pool surrounded by farmland. Lovely hosts who made us really welcome and gave us some excellent local recommendations.

Quiet place whit a very nice pool area.

We had a lovely two weeks at this beautiful place. The hosts were very welcoming, inviting us to drinks by the pool and dinner by the private lake. The house itself was spotless and very comfortable and had everything you would need for a two week holiday. The pool area is beatiful and we had it ourselves for most of the time. The local area is lovely, its about a 12 min drive to the supermarkets and there are some nice restaurants a similar distance away. Overall I would recommend this place and would definitely return myself. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Eric and Letitia offer their guests a very warm welcome at this superb farm location. Close to a number of towns for shopping and sightseeing, but rurally located. Beautiful heated, saltwater pool with toilet, shower and even cooking facilities and fridge in the pool house. We loved the accommodation: spacious and stylish with every facility you could need. Large terrace area at the back overlooking large cornfields. Letitia kindly took us on a farm tour which was really interesting. We ate possibly the best meal we have ever had in France at a nearby restaurant (Bucket’s Auberge Inn). We hope to return to Le Font de Touny at some stage in the future as we had a really relaxing holiday with a luxury feel.

The details don't do this property justice, the private lake and pedalo on the farm were a complete surprise which the kids loved. The place was very tranquil, most of the time we had the pool to ourselves. The children had lots of space to play inside and out and we loved the architecture of the converted barn. Eric and family invited us to have a meal with them by the lake and they treated us to some of the homemade pate and puddings and homegrown vegetables. The cat was friendly.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Peace, calm, a lot of nature and a relaxing pool. What can we ask more for?

Eric and his wife couldn’t have been better hosts for our trip. The gite is clean and spacious and of a much higher spec than others we have stayed in. The pool was a wonderful warm temperature and had a lovely shaded area with a fridge alongside to cool of under. Added to that we were even given a guided tour of the farm which our little one loved especially the tractors! We couldn’t recommend this friendly lovely accommodation any more

From start to finish our week was perfect. The house had everything we needed and although we were there on the 3rd week of Oct, we were able to spend a good few hours around the luxurious pool. Eric and his family were perfect hosts and invited us for an aperitif. This gave us a great chance to practice our French and them their English. A great idea! We have no hesitation in giving a 5 star score and a recommendation for anyone looking to come to this area.

What an amazing find. The gite is top quality offering all you need for a comfortable holiday. The pool area was one of the best we have come across. With cooking facilities shower and seating area. We took our three dogs and they were most welcome. Great size garden and lovely walks for them to enjoy. The gite is well situated to get to all the tourist areas and we found some great places.
