We had a wonderful experience in the house. It was very clean and comfortable. It was the best equipped vacation we ever stayed in. The property manager was an amazing host. We highly recommend this property!

The villa is really nice and looks like on the pictures. The hist ist really friendly and the communication was easy. On our last day, the water pipeline of the village and the 4 villages around was broken. When we called the host, he explained everything to us, and informed us when the pipeline was fixed. The village and everything around house is really quiet. It is a nice place to relax.

The pool is great and we loved the walking distance to the friendly town of Kamilari. Great tavernas there, too!! We will certainly recommend Villa Marcyn!

Lovely villa with a great pool and stunning views. Very handy for southern Minoan sites and drives into the mountains. Plenty of tavernas in Kalamari with good food and very reasonable prices.

This home checks all the boxes: Kamilari is a very nice village with places to eat and buy groceries, mountain and sea views, near beaches and well situated for exploring more of Crete. The house itself is super comfortable with a full kitchen with al the gear and well stocked with all the little things you might need for beach, fireplace, etc. In May the water is not quite warm enough for adults (kids loved both swimming pool and ocean), but the island is delightfully empty of tourists and the wildflowers are blooming. We counted 3 species of orchids growing around the house. The owners provided quick help with any issues that arose. Hard to remember a better vacation rental experience. Two thumbs up and eager to return.

A wonderful week had by us all. The location just outside Kamilari ( a beautiful, tranquil traditional village ) was quiet and peaceful. The views of the sea and the mountains were amazing as were the stunning sunsets we had. The villa was just what a family of 4 ( 2 young children )needed and was very well equipped. Yvonne who meets and greets you is helpful and always at hand. Thank you for the welcome bowl of fruit too! Location was perfect as we visited local beaches - we preferred Komos but each time, we returned to the pool at the villa - most welcome after a day by the beach. Villa was as described and we would also say that the pictures don’t do the pool justice as we felt it was bigger than the photos showed. Nonetheless, we would definitely recommend the villa and the location.

We were the first guests in the brand new greek-style holiday house and enjoyed our stay a lot. The house is very beautifully and tastefully decorated, beds are very comfortable, the kitchen has everything you may need during your holidays and much beyond (dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge - we don't have a fridge producing icecubes or a electric orange squeezer at home). The owner Marleen has tried to think about all potential wishes of her guests. For example there are separate towels for the pool and for the bathroom - something I often missed in other places. The house has a fireplace, a barbecue, a washing machine and fast WiFi access (which worked perfect all the time - the most important feature for our adolescent daughters). There are two nice shaded terrasses in front of the house and on the roof - one with a view to the pool, the other with a beautiful view to the sea and the surrounding landscape and mountains. The house is located a bit outside the village of Kamilari, but it is only a short walking distance to the village center with a minimarket and some restaurants. The village is small and beautiful with some really nice traditional restaurants, we thought it is one of the nicest village we have visited in the area and we were glad that we had chosen exactly this village without much closer consideration. One day we walked to Kalamaki and Komos Beach and it is an easy and nice walk in spring, but in summer it may be a bit hot to walk to the beach, but it is onyl a few kilometers. Kamilari is also well located to visit the closeby archaeological excavation of Feistos and Mátala beach with caves. At the moment (April 2017) another house is beeing built opposite, the workers (the same that built this house) were very friendly and nice, but of course there are some noises and a truck now and then. This didn't disturb us at all - but this may be something others may feel different about. It also looked as if the main works on the house under construction will soon be finished. Thus, we felt we had made an excellent choice when booking this house!
