Venezia, Veneto
Venetian villa of the '700 protected by the fine arts with independent entrance, overlooking a historic Venetian square, silent, in an authentic and romantic atmosphere.
The house consists of two floors completely renovated respecting the style of the time and Venetian materials, it is furnished with antiques and equipped with all the elements to make the living room very comfortable, including a new fitted kitchen, a sauna, as well as wi-fi system with optical fiber.
The house is spacious and pleasant to accommodate up to 6 people who can comfortably stay in the 3 bedrooms, in the large dining room and in the living room. The bathrooms are new and offer both a large shower (next to the sauna) and a solution with tub and shower.
This is a beautiful apartment in a great location. It is a short walk to the Piazalle Roma and grocery stores. A few restaurants right around the corner. But not in the direct tourist zone so it is relatively quiet and not congested. The rooms were well appointed. The two level design allows for privacy and was relatively quiet for guests sleeping upstairs if other guests were on the main floor. The kitchen is small. The bedrooms are a good size. Because it is an “on demand” water heater located in the kitchen area it took a long time to draw hot water to the showers. The lower floor shower did not drain well, but the water flow is so slow that it only fills the shower base and didn’t flood the whole bathroom. The apartment was quaint and generally well appointed. We would definitely stay here again.
Very spacious with three large bedrooms. Located in quiet neighborhood within walking distance of everything we cared to visit. The house was spotless. Management was wonderful and made the whole process easy. I would definitely recommend!
Great facilities, spotlessly clean, well furnished and comfortable house tucked away in a quiet backstreet location. Good communications with owner/manager. Highly recommended.
I cannot say enough good about the property and the property manager. The home is absolutely beautiful, clean, spacious with a terrific location! The communication with the property manager was wonderful. They arranged the taxi to pick us up and answered any questions we had during our stay. Once we left Venice we realized we had left an iPhone at the house. They found the phone and personally delivered it to our hotel by the airport. I’d stay here again without question. A 10 out of 10!!
This is a charming villa with tons of historic character. It has tons of space and is beautifully located within Venice. I would totally recommend! Americans sjouke adjust their expectations. There is A/C only in the bedrooms upstairs. The clothes dryer is quite slow and takes considerable time to dry clothes. Not like what we are used to in the US. There isn’t an American coffee pot, so plan to make 1-2 cups at a time! The mattress is en-suite is quite stiff. A mattress topper would be a great addition and make it much more comfortable. Extra coffee tables in the living room would’ve been helpful for wine glasses and coffee cups! Great property otherwise!
Our month long stay in Venice, as covid 19 restrictions were only recently lifted, was very lucky in two ways, the usual tourist hordes were mostly held at bay by travel restrictions and booking problems for many, and the Villa Frari was an excellent place to call home for a month. The functionality of the place was superior but was matched by its charm and comfort. I prefer open, uncluttered spaces, and really appreciate well layed-out and large interior spaces...the Villa Frari had spacious bedrooms, a large living area, and a large kitchen. The furnishings were well selected and worked very well with the spaces. There is a well outfitted kitchen that we used everyday and there was a well stocked cleaning closet. The location was very nice as well, very close to the Campo dei Frari and the Scuola San Rocco, but away from the busiest tourist paths. The walk to San Marco was about 40 minutes, about the same by Vaporetto from San Stae (a 10 minute walk from the house). The house was perfect for our needs (*our*, meaning, a couple of art history professors and a painter). Simona was both incredibly attentive while also leaving us to ourselves, so a good balance of freedom and assistance...the communications were superb, trusting, and completely reliable. We would be happy to stay in the house again and although a month might seem like a long stay for most, we thought it was too short!
I loved this house. Wonderfully furnished and located. Owner is very nice. Only hiccup is a hidden charge for local taxes they asked for after we had paid listed price.
Wonderful property. Would stay again. Remember though, it is Venice. Get familiar with the streets around the property and all the bridges between you and your destinations. Google maps helps a little but can't trust it completely
Nice spacious two level unique home. Well equipped with sauna.
Lovely house in an area away from the crowds but full of everyday Venice life.
