Beautiful property with a lovely outdoor area. We had a wonderful time over all and would recommend this with the following considerations / things id rather have known ahead of time: that the pool and patio areas are on camera. Also if you're a night owl, you may need to let the hosts know because they turn off all outdoor lights at 1am. **There is also additional charges for heating up the hot tub per each use.

Julia and Robert were excellent hosts of this beautiful property, which is centrally located to many activities. We especially enjoyed relaxing by the pool while watching March Madness, and listening to the coyotes howling at the full moon. The grounds are so comforting with all of the plants, fountain, and quiet. Perfect place to unwind from a busy life!

Lovely quiet position but close to town. Villa has everything you need inside and a lovely patio area outside. Big pool but had quite a lot of leaves in it during our short visit. Comfy bed and space ideal for 2.

The pictures do it justice. A remarkable retreat on a beautiful property. We will be back next time we stay in Escondido.

Beautiful and peaceful setting with a pool view, exquisite garden and a sense of spaciousness. The bed is extremely comfortable. The pool was too cold to use as the weather was cooler than normal but it was still lovely to sit out by the pool in the morning and evening. Keurig coffee machine was great. I will definitely return.

Nice location! We felt safe and the room was spacious and the Casper mattress was comfortable. We heard the Northern Mockingbirds mating calls at night, which was strange and wonderful we relaxed by the pool before going out for dinner at Brigantine seafood and oyster bar. The HH there was good. Location was a close drive to San Diego and Mission Bay. We would stay here again. Thanks !

Our stay at Villa Escondido was fantastic! The home, property and pool were gorgeous! Sitting by the pool, I felt like I was living like an old-Hollywood celebrity. The hosts could not have been more accommodating or kinder. We will definitely return!

Beautiful peaceful location. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub (it was 90 degrees in Escondido in February!) and the neighborhood is relaxed and quiet. Everything was great.

The long drive way leading up to the villa and the beautifully landscaped grounds let you know you are in for a treat! This villa is very clean and has all you need. The bed is so comfy and poolside is beautiful and peaceful. The jacuzzi was amazing! Robert and Julia were the perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome! My husband wasn’t feeling 100% , a bad winter cold, and Julia even brought us fresh lemons from her yard and honey. Very kind! This villa is so cozy and feels like home! You’re going to love it!

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Escondido. The studio is spacious and comfortable. Great location with easy access to town and I-15. We will definitely stay again.

One of the best stays I've had anywhere. The host were outstanding and the accommodations were 10/10. Will be returning for another short vacation this summer.

Much larger and better appointed than expected. I loved having separate vanities. The location was perfect for our visit. As someone who grew up in the area, I remembered the big White House on the hill. It was a treat to stay in their guest wing. It would be nice to come in warmer weather to enjoy the pool area. Maybe next time?

What a great place to come and unwind. Julia and Robert were amazing hosts. The villa is so nice and comfortable with plenty of room for my wife and I. Huge spacious bathroom. We enjoyed our time here. Even got out and went for a walk in the neighborhood.

Our four night stay was a wonderful experience, especially since the weather was sunny and warm so we could use the pool every afternoon! We used each morning to go out to breakfast at any number of wonderful local restaurants in the area, and then either go to the beach or go to Julian, etc. Escondido is a wonderful hub, with much to do in the area, including visits to wineries, casinos, or just go for a wonderful drive out into the country.The owners/hosts were very accommodating and we would love to come back someday!

Beautiful place to stay for a few days while I was working all over San Diego area. Pool is gorgeous, as is the very nicely decorated suite. Amazing 3 room well designed bathroom, with great walk in shower and separate bathtub area. Hosts make the stay very easy, with good kitchen amenities and open space living room and bed. It all fits! Wish I was able to enjoy sitting out by the pool longer but was too busy working. Great stay!

What a beautiful getaway Villa Escondido is! Quiet yet centrally located, it was close to everything we needed. This was our 2nd stay and we look forward to a 3rd at some point.

A peaceful and stunning oasis to rest and refresh one’s mind and body. We enjoyed lounging around the pool in the evening after the day’s activities. Location was perfect for visiting the SD Zoo Safari Park, family events in Valley Center, hiking trails, concert at the local Arts Center, and dining at the unique restaurants in downtown Escondido. We look forward to our next visit to The Villa.

This place is amazing - very relaxing!! Hosts are so welcoming & the villa had absolutely everything to make our stay comfortable.

The location is beautiful. The facility is beautiful. It was a perfect weekend getaway., and it is a great place to use as a home base when exploring Southern California. If we didn't have 1000 things planned to do in S Cal, I'd be just as content to sit poolside all weekend and enjoy the peace this place has to offer.

Stayed here with my best friend who came in from out of town for my daughter’s wedding. It was a nice clear spot to get away from the madness of the wedding prep at my house. Didn’t have much time to enjoy the property and pool but it was a nice little spot and very stress free.

Quiet, clean, private, many extra amenities. Julia outdid our wildest expectations with providing many extra items that we found useful and functional like an umbrella for the beach, towels for the beach, Kureig coffee, unlimited tv stations that spoiled us to no end. With plenty of space, use of a laptop and printer (even though we didn’t use), large DVD selection, we were very happy and content. We would like to book again next time in Escondido. And yes this pool is extravagant and accentuates the Southern California style.

Julia and Robert are excellent and gracious hosts. The Villa Escondido is charming, very comfortable and interesting. The Villa is an excellent location for visiting northern San Diego County. We visited the Safari Park, the San Diego Botanical Gardens, hiked around Lake Hodges and San Elijo Ecological Reserve, plus a Giants Padres game.

The owners are really wonderful and always help if we need anything.Do you know that itself is so comfortable and just laid out perfect and plenty spacious with all you would need for staying there.The outside by the pool on the ground is just spectacular and so peaceful and restful you couldn’t find a nicer place to stay

The villa is so comfortable and sitting poolside can't be beat. You are not far away from many things to see and do. And there's great food in the area too!

The property was beautiful and well located in the city of Escondido. We did many activities and almost all of them were within a 10 to 15 minute drive. The property itself has gorgeous plants and succulents and trees all around. The hosts were extremely accommodating and very gracious. It was a great experience for us!

The property was beautiful and well-maintained. The unit was clean and had all the amenities we needed. We were surrounded by gorgeous landscaping and felt very safe in the fenced in gated property. I was looking forward to a dip in the pool so I was a little disappointed to learn it was not heated. The laundry was not accessible - I ended up not doing a load at all because we ran out of time and I would have had to schedule access with the owner to get inside their home. Despite these minor inconveniences, it was really much nicer than any hotel in the area would have been and was very conveniently located near my brother's house. The suite was the perfect size for my small family of 3. We would probably stay again.

This is a beautiful, relaxing hideaway place to stay. The property is immaculate and the hosts are very friendly. Lots to do in and around the are to keep you from having to go to the larger centers like San Diego or Los Angeles. Lots of amazing food options for all types of foods and preferences.

It was a very peaceful and comforting space to come back to each day during my stay. I never heard any outdoor noise that interfered with my sleep or time spent indoors or outside in the pool. Parking was a delight with lots of choices. Air conditioning was so powerful and perfect for the summer heat and humidity. I am so glad I stayed outside of the San Diego area. I highly recommend this retreat for anyone looking for a secluded location for relaxation and rejuvenation. The hosts were so welcoming and kind and never minded answering any question.
