Stayed Mar 1, 2026We stayed at El Alcazar March 2026. It has a good location, a lovely covered patio, and parking. The property was clean.On the negative side, there is no heating system , the main bedroom, bathrooms and kitchen are cold , damp and uncomfortable. I would give the property a 6/10 due to no heat, a persistent leak in the bathroom, and the pool couldn't be heated. There are two apartments that are rented independent from the main house. Noises at night are annoying and disconcerting. The description in VRBO is misleading, the main house does not have air conditioning.

Stayed May 26, 2022Lovely villa..just full of curios and lovely furniture. Very fully stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Outside area was great, with loungers, chairs, tables galore. Good sized clean pool. Very comfortable huge bed. Great communication from Theresa and Annabelle could not have been nicer or more helpful. And all at a very reasonable price. A good 20 min walk downhill into town but taxi back still only €5 after 4 years! Great to be able to return to Carvoeiro and would certainly use this property again.
