You will love staying at the base of the Colorado National Monument in our wonderfully comfy and well-stocked 3100 sf home that sleeps 10. It is on a 2-acre lot, has incredible 360-degree views, a hot tub, and is a great value!

Tucked away in the Redlands community of Grand Junction you will find our spacious house with room for everyone to spread out. It is across the street from the Tiara Rado Golf Course, within walking distance to many hiking and mountain biking trails, the Colorado river, and is a short drive to Powderhorn Mountain Resort for skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing.

THE SPACE
Views, views and more views and nearly every window has one! We have wildlife that visits daily, including many deer and rabbits. The kitchen is well stocked with quality items and appliances, sharp cutlery, plenty of pans, spices and oils. The house is organized with two large bedrooms on each wing (four bedrooms total) which are separated by the common area. There is a large 4K TV and gas log fireplace in the living room along with large windows to take in the views in all directions. There is a warm and welcoming basement with an additional couch, two large reclining chairs, a bar, and a Foosball table. In short, there is space for everyone in a large family or group to spread out. You will have access to a large garage that can be used to store your outdoor gear securely; most commonly mountain/road bikes or river gear. The home has been decorated by a licensed interior designer. The yard as well as the 7-person Sundance hot tub are professionally maintained. We hope you love our home and friendly neighbors as much as we do.

A reasonably low base price per night allows a couple to rent such a large home at an affordable rate. For groups of 3 or more, there is a $20 per day per person additional fee to help accommodate for the additional operating and cleaning costs associated with larger groups.

GUEST INTERACTION
If we could live there right now, we would. This house is a dedicated vacation rental that is managed by it's owners, Fred & Elaine, and a dedicated co-host, Christy, who will do nearly anything to make sure you have a wonderful and pleasant experience. The home is cleaned thoroughly after each rental. Access to the home is by a unique smart lock code that will be valid during your stay and is provided about two weeks prior to arrival via your VRBO online account for this particular reservation. We constantly strive to improve our home and the guest's experience. We will do just about anything to accommodate your needs so please don't be shy about asking what we can do for you!

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The neighborhood consists of several homes, each on 2+ acres of land that back up against 20,000 acres which make up the Colorado National Monument. It is across the street from a beautiful golf course and within a few minutes drive to the Colorado river as well as many hiking and mountain biking trails. There is no through traffic on the road and it is quiet and peaceful all day and night long. The home is located within a short drive to all the amenities you would need, including the downtown area for any wanted nightlife. There are MANY hiking and mountain biking trails close by. Fruita, CO, most known for its incredible access to world-class mountain biking trails, is only 10-15 mins drive away. Nearby Moab, UT also has an impressive offering of hiking, mountain biking, and Jeeping trails. If you are looking for day trips for skiing/snowboarding then consider Powderhorn Mountain Resort as the closest option, which is 38 miles from Grand Junction. Telluride, Aspen, and Vail are further away at 126, 128, and 147 miles, respectively.

The views are stunning, the grounds are well -maintained. The hot tub was in good order and large, the kitchen was well equipped and the appliances were modern and operating well. However, the bathrooms and Bedrooms were dusty, the carpet had areas that needed better vacuuming throughout the home. The bathrooms were outdated (I suppose that's why there were no photos of the bathrooms.) The bathroom in the Primary bedroom does not have a shower or a shower curtain to contain any water from splashing out. The owners took 3 days to respond to my first inquiry, and did not respond to my second message until the VRBO representative left messages for them. The living room area was spacious with comfortable furnishings, but the beds were hard.

We had a wonderful time here. We spent most of our time either in front of the fire place or in the hot tub. Never even turned on the TV. Saw some deer and even a ringtail at night (set off the motion light and then had to use a camera using night mode to see it).The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfy. The house has a wide selection of pillows. There are security cameras on the exterior of the house. The one in the back could be concerning because it appears to capture the hot tub. I feel this needs to be stated in the listing as some people might not want strangers to be recording them or their kids in swimwear. The list of rules and stated fees in the house book felt daunting. Don't sweep the garage after using it, there is an additional fee. Get an HOA noise complaint, another fee. Don't shampoo/clean the already stained/bleached carpet, there's a fee. Also, everything in the house is labeled. Not just light switches, which can be nice, but the number of plates, bowls, glasses, etc. All this just took some from the relax and enjoy. It made it feel like I was staying at grandma's house and that we shouldn't touch anything. With that said, we would definitely stay here again. We loved the location, went through Colorado National Monument, saw wildlife on the property, and the stay was comfortable. I think an updated listing about the cameras, an implied you break it, you buy it mentality, and removal of some labels would make this place an easy 10/10.

Our group of 7 (ranging in age from 72 to 13) were in town for a wakeboarding competition and wanted to have room to spread out and spend time together. This house did just that! We had plenty of space to both congregate together and escape for some solitude both inside and out. The kitchen was well-equipped for everything we needed to cook meals, the bathrooms had necessities needed, and the house just overall felt like a home away from home. Since we were flying across the country, we asked the owners if we could borrow some portable chairs to take out to the competition and they didn’t hesitate to provide them! Everything was smooth, from check in to check out, and we all commented that if we were to find ourselves in Grand Junction again, we would definitely stay here again! Thank you for the hospitality, thoughtfulness, and great memories!

We had a really nice family reunion (of sorts) at the Bison Court home. The home was clean and lovely with a well appointed kitchen, allowing us to make some meals together. The view was amazing with the Colorado national monument in the background, access to trails and great hikes were fantastic as was the nice Grand Junction restaurants. Really loved our stay.

We were very impressed with the house - from the spaciousness to the automated shades in the windows. It had a nice comfortable feel throughout and enough room to do any of the activities we had planned. The dining room table was beautiful and the size was just right for everyone to gather around it. There were two things: We would suggest that the drip pan under the grill be cleaned more often as it created flare ups when we were barbecuing. We made sure to have the grill well away from the house. Also, the oven and stovetop were very confusing to use. The stovetop quit working while we were trying to preheat the oven..?? And, please note, the oven was not clean when we got there. Other than those small hiccups, we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you for a wonderful time in Colorado!

The property is exactly as described, no disappointments or surprises. The hot tub is the best we've had over several VRBO rentals, spacious and well maintained. The house is very comfortable and well appointed with views of the Colorado Monument, easy driving to downtown Grand Junction and Fruita for lovely meals and activities. Home was cool throughout our stay in the height of summer, swamp coolers worked well despite the heat. Daily deer visits in the yard were a wonderful treat.
