Stayed Oct 17, 2025Beautiful and charming Victorian home! Decorated and updated perfectly to reflect the age of the home but also including modern upgrades. My friends and I had a wonderful weekend! Walkable distances to ferry for the island and the shops in St Ignace. Would highly recommend Host was so accommodating with reservation and communication. Answered questions in a very timely manner. The only downside were the enormous spiders on the porch, which probably gave some entertainment if anyone was watching the ring doorbell footage.

Stayed Aug 3, 2025It was a beautiful home, loved the outside fire pit and patio table for playing cards on. We felt the downstairs was rather cool while the upstairs was on the warm side with very little circulation. Ceiling fans would have helped. While we were there we enjoyed our time and it was an easy walk to downtown St Agnace to catch the ferry to Mackinac Island.

Stayed Jul 15, 2025They had everything they said and a little more. There were plenty of boards available. The big hit for my kids was the air hockey. They actually have two T.V's, not that we used them much. We also had brought our own wood, but found out they had some available as well, covered to protect from the elements. The kitchen had everything we needed, except an ice cream scoop, but that was fine. There is nothing negative to say about this place. It was our first time renting anything like this and it has set the bar very high for any future ones.

Stayed Jul 5, 2025Location is perfect. Right up the hill from shopping, food, the boardwalk. Beautiful view of Lake Huron every morning. We had a full house (8) and it was a bit tricky with only 2 bathrooms but we all survived. I would rent this place again.

Stayed Jun 15, 2025Our group was ladies from all over the country for a reunion of 7th grade cheerleaders 56 years ago. We all agree that this Charming Victorian home was the perfect gem!! Excellent location to everything . Walking distance to Ferry , Restaurants and just a short drive to grocery store for supplies. We also spent one day driving up in the UP to Taquamenon Falls, and of course a couple days at Mackinac Island. Firepit was a special treat and big supply of firewood. Would definitely recommend this property and would also love to return someday. Our host was very responsive and helpful with advice and recommendations.

Stayed Oct 14, 2024Nice cozy old house. We enjoyed the charm of the home. Kids enjoyed the air hockey table. Wished the weather was better to enjoy the fire pit. Only concern was the upstairs hallway floor is really squeaky. Makes it hard to move around at night without waking someone.

Stayed Sep 9, 2024My in-laws have been telling us for years how wonderful Mackinac Island and the surrounding area are. So when we flew out to visit them, we wanted to work in some time in Michigan. This listing was perfectly sized for our party of eight: one set of grandparents, my wife, me, and our 4 kids aged 5-10, and everyone loved the house and all of its ammenities. Our boys play hockey and were delighted to find the house had an air hockey table! The back porch was perfect for outdoor dining and the fire pit was perfect for s’mores and spooky stories. The house is a close walk to St. Ignace’s downtown and the lighthouse. In addition to being close to ferry terminals to get to Mackinac Island, the house isn’t too far from Tahquamenon Falls, the Great Lakes Shipwreck museum, or even a trip across the bridge to Mackinaw City and all the things to do over there. The house was clean, had pretty much all of the amenities we could have hoped for, and there was plenty of firewood in supply. All bedrooms are on the second level. The stairs to the second level were reported as “steep,” but my in-laws are in their 70’s. But points for the solid bannister and stair rail that helped out a good bit. The kids found the circa 1880’s creaky floors highly entertaining, particularly in the morning. All things considered, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would totally stay here again. We highly recommend it for anyone looking to explore the UP.

Stayed Jul 16, 2024We realize that you only owned the house for 9 months & you are trying to quickly recoup...However: Anyone using the 2nd floor or stairs will wake other people up at night; bad squeaks, bedroom door bangs against the wall; no door stop, same bedroom: 1 door won't lock & other door won't unlock, the glass front door & the rear glass door need curtains for privacy/safety, we had 2 senior citizens; safety bars should be a must, the 2 shower floors/pans are very attractive but with a little soap become slippery; maybe non-skid mats or tape.
