Vacation home in Sunny Bay of Islands

Was great little house to stay very homely like my grandmas place when younger. Nice to sit outside and have a cuppa on the deck area. Son loved the hammock. Great to have washer and dryer

We stayed three nights at this beautiful Te Haumi property and absolutely loved it. The house was clean and well set up, with three comfortable bedrooms and quality bedding. The kitchen and bathroom were modern, with a great shower and a bath that was perfect for relaxing after a day out exploring.The section was a real highlight - fruit trees and native bush at the back where we saw tūī and heard ruru at night. The area felt really safe and peaceful, and it was only a short drive to the beach and local walking tracks.This was the perfect base for our time in the Bay of Islands. Highly recommended!

We stayed 2 nights during ex tropical cyclone Tam. So spent a lot of time indoors. The house was well set up for this and we had a great time. Des checked in to see if we were okay which was nice. Could stay for a week and just read the variety of books on the shelves. Overall a comfortable stay.

Plenty to see and do in surrounding area…short easy drive to Paihia central, ferry , Treaty. Grounds and Waitangi golf course.Comfortable stay, very hot while we were there. Quiet street.Didn’t realise it would be someone’s home while they were away.

A lovely cosy stay close to town

What a lovely place and such awesome hosts! Aside from the house ventilation being a bit noisy and firm (but still comfortable enough) beds, these were quite minor considering the price range for such a lovely space. We are very grateful, and we are looking forward to our next visit - thank you so much Marg and Des!

Beautiful accommodation and location.

Not the first time we've stayed here and hopefully not the last. Cosy idyllic holiday home that provides more than you could need.Only a 2 minute drive to the main beach and Paihia town/shops.Hosts are lovely. We usually stay in very nice hotels and this place was booked last time by us out of urgency & it totally changed my perception of booking a bach. We would gladly return here over and over.

Very good.Location excellent.Comfortable house.Pricing very reasonable.A source of minor annoyance was that the owners were still at the property well after agreed check-in time,requiring us to wait in the car on the road untill they left.Also they later returned to the house. On balance we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this listing. Alan J.
