Urban Greenhouse

This is a charming little property perfect for a San Diego getaway. Located 5+ minutes to Balboa Park Museums and the Zoo. My husband, 3 sons, ages 4-9, and myself enjoyed the quiet and convenience of the home and neighborhood. The property owner was easily available for any questions or concerns. My sons nicknamed this home the 'Jungle Fort' and cannot wait to visit again!

The urban greenhouse was a perfect stay for our family. We felt at home with all the cozy features and we absolutely loved the plants everywhere. The home was at the center of all the amazing places SD has to offer. Thanks for an amazing getaway!

house has a great location beach places close , down town San Diego really close easy to get to the property, 15 minutes drive to sea world, dog friendly, has private parking driveway overall very good place to stay and i would recommend we got what we were expecting felt like a home .

This home was one of the best vacation rentals we have experienced as a family. It was well designed and felt special as part of our vacation. I am so impressed with the small details that really made it feel like home, particularly for young children. Night lights, child-available toilet seat, bunk beds, and kid-sized utensils were unexpected but so appreciated. The backyard is beautiful and a great spot for congregating- the fire pit was lovely on cooler San Diego nights! Tom was a great host and excellent communicator. We enjoyed the neighborhood and walking to a few restaurants. It was an ideal location to visit the zoo and Balboa park. Highly recommend- thanks Tom!

The house is beautiful and is as listed in the ad. The host is easy to communicate with and was very helpful during our stay.

The property looks exactly like the picture. The moment you walked into the house, you see plants everywhere. Even in the bathroom there were plants above the shower. Almost felt like a jungle. But in a good way. The backyard had a nice little sitting area with a fountain where you can relax and listen to sound of the water coming out. The bed in the master bedroom was a bit too firm and the pillows not very comfortable for my liking. There was a doggy bed for your fur baby in the master bedroom. Which was really nice. The kitchen had all the necessary cookware. The second bedroom had a bunk bed where our child slept. She had no complaints. The house is nearby the freeway, grocery stores, restaurants, a park, and the zoo. Communication with the host was great. Would definitely stay in the future again.

Tom was super easy to work with. House is clean and in great condition. Stayed here with twin grandsons so the bunk bed was a bonus. Snacks upon arrival, Plenty of toiletries and towels. Everything we needed. Location is great -close to Balboa Park.

Great place to stay. Such a cute bungalow. Clean and well appointed with an easy drive to the San Diego Zoo. The host was so helpful and accommodating. Love the plants! Will stay again.

We absolutely LOVED this place! Everything was perfect. This place is adorable, comfy, quiet, and safe. The plants are absolutely beautiful, in fact they inspired me to have more greenery in my home. We would stay here again 1000 times. It had absolutely everything we needed and more. I cannot see enough positive things about this stay! Thank you so much!!

The Urban Greenhouse is lovely. The host includes thoughtful touches, like phone and computer cables next to the bed, a fully-functioning kitchen with everything needed to cook, and even the option for free-range (and colorful) eggs. The neighborhood is very quiet. We will definitely stay here again.

Tom's Urban Greenhouse was absolutely perfect. The check-in process was simple, the house was extremely clean and the ambience with all the plants was beautiful. We were there for four nights and didn't have one complaint. I'm glad we decided to stay here, as opposed to a hotel. We were able to experience a very cool San Diego neighborhood.

Very impressive home with everything you need. A home away from home and true gem. One thing is it was a bit hard to figure out shower knobs and was hot but it’s user error lol. Other than that iit was perfect and would definitely come back.

Very clean. Crisp white sheets. Amenities galore. Beautiful shower area. Everything smelt like tea tree oil & just overall clean air. Quiet neighborhood. The air purifier was an amazing touch and the perfect white noise we needed.

Wonderful house with nice touches throughout for guests. We were delighted during our time spent at the Urban Greenhouse. Great location for visiting San Diego, close to Balboa Park & San Diego Zoo. Appreciated having a car charger to charge each night after a day of exploring.

We were in town for a wedding and the Urban Greenhouse was perfect for our small family and Labrador. The plants are amazing and perfectly maintained by Tom, the owner who was very pleasant and accommodating to us. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend this charming cottage in Northpark!

This delightful property went above and beyond our expectations! One of the cutest neighborhoods! Centrally located, easy walk to several restaurants, clean, quaint, quiet & comfortable! I would highly recommend & hopefully will be back someday.

The Urban Greenhouse was the perfect place to stay in San Diego! The house was inviting, warm, and had everything that we needed for our family of four while we visited the city. The proximity to Balboa Park, downtown, and the airport was important for our family when choosing a place to stay. We loved our time among all the plants!

We had an awesome and very comfortable stay here. We had four kids and all fit comfortably for a couple of days. I truly enjoyed that this felt like a lived-in home rather than just a rental, so there was definitely a true feeling of hospitality. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and it was close to Balboa Park where we spent most of our time. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here with our toddler and it was fantastic! Quiet location that was a quick drive to neighborhood restaurants and shops. We were never more than 20 minutes from any major San Diego attraction. The property itself is very well maintained and had more amenities than expected from the espresso machine to the air fryer as well as dishes and silverware for kids. There were even blackout shades in the bedrooms which made sleep easy for our toddler. Highly recommend for those with young ones!

We stayed for 13 nights before departing. We’ve used various accommodation apps and stayed at many different places, but none were as comfortable and cozy as Tom’s house. This place is not just a great accommodation but a home that truly makes guests feel like they belong. Everything is thoughtfully prepared—chargers by the bed and in the living room, air purifiers in every room, and the air-cleansing plants throughout the house are an incredible touch. The large refrigerator and excellent barbecue grill are also fantastic features. Parking is convenient, and the check-in and check-out process is seamless. Tom is incredibly considerate. We sincerely wish his family endless happiness and good fortune. Goodbye, San Diego!

This home was perfectly located near the places we were visiting in San Diego. Our children enjoyed the comfy feeling of being at home. My daughter said she liked that the lights were on when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking meals. There were only two beds so my oldest did need to sleep on the very nice couch in the living room. We enjoyed the shower the most. Everything in the house was beautifully decorated. We would stay here again if we travel to So Cal in the future.

We had an excellent stay at the Urban Greenhouse. The house was cozy and clean and the plants created a unique and tranquil atmosphere. We appreciated how dog-friendly the property is and enjoyed the nice and walkable neighborhood, close to lots of food options and attractions. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked. We would highly recommend this place and hope to stay again in the future.

This unit was incredible....it was comfortable and clean. The location was great, we loved spending time in North Park, what a fun and vibrant little neighborhood. No shortage of great restaurants and only a few minutes from attrcations like Sea World and the Zoo. The house itself was lovely, small but perfectly comfortable. It was very clear that the owner has put a lot of thought into making sure that every need is addressed. In particular, the beds were auper confortable, the bedding and linens were high quality and I particularly appreciated the Breville espresso machine. We were truly sorry to check out and wished we had stayed here our entire visit.

When searching for a house to stay in San Diego we found the urban greenhouse and it was love at first sight. The house was even prettier when we opened the door and discovered each room. The house was equipped with everything you could need and even more. Each question of us was answered so fast and no questions were left. We loved to stay there and we’re sure it was not the last time!
