Upscale Bungalow - 129 Craven Street 300 feet from Beaufort Waterfront

The Bungalow was clean, the entrance a little hard to navigate. Apparently reviewing the door handle, the outside lever does not release the bolt of the completely. Inside lever is complete but the outside going in, the lever does not bring the bolt completely clear and you have to pull the door to the left to gain access.The HVAC unit over the bed drips on you head during the night.Would not suggest using the coffee creamer pods. First morning there was a lot of floating debris in our coffee, so went out to a breakfast location and brought back fresh pods to use in coming days.

Wonderful stay! The location is amazing! The bungalow is as cute and cozy as it looks in the pictures. It is the perfect place for a couple to stay while exploring Beaufort. Owner responds quickly and was available if needed. The shops, restaurants and waterfront are literally half a block (if that) away but while sitting on the porch you would never know because the property is private and quiet.

This place was absolutely perfect. Great location and the bungalow is a wonderful place to stay.

We had the most wonderful time! The bungalow is absolutely perfect for two! Decorated beautifully. We felt right at home! Everything you need for a simple meal. Absolutely clean and such a smooth check-in and checkout. Steve was always available so quickly to answer any questions! Privately tucked away from the street, but quick to walk anywhere downtown. We hope to be back next year. It’s the best place we have ever stayed in Beaufort and we have had at least 20 anniversary visits.Thank you Steve for the best accommodations!

Our stay at The Bungalow was excellent from start to finish. It was a pleasure to spend three days in such a comfortable, well-appointed and tastefully decorated cottage to start off our vacation along the NC coast. My husband took care of finding and booking The Bungalow, and said that working with Steve, the owner, was simple and straightforward. Both the check-in and check-out processes were easy. The cottage had everything we needed including by far, the most comfortable mattress of our trip to date. The location is ideal - - an easy walk to Front Street with the charming shops and restaurants so close and yet the cottage is tucked away, quiet and so private. Thank you, Steve. Great little bungalow cottage for two to relax after being at the beach for a week!

Everything was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed walking to our favorite restaurants and shopping areas. Steve, our host, was very easy to communicate with.

This was a great place to stay for us as a quick getaway to just relax and have a few days low key. The bungalow was decorated very tastefully, very clean, comfortable and it provided a lot of essentials to complete your stay. Location was perfect for getting out and walking to restaurants and shops or just taking a stroll in the evening along the waterfront or through the neighborhood. My wife and I had a great stay! It is a small but cozy and cottage in a great location and is perfect for what we needed. Its right by the heart of all the shops and dining of Beaufort was definatly a town to visit with lots of charm. You can rent a very nice golf cart on site that is a great deal as well Steve was great to work with. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Such a beautifully decorated bungalow, perfect size for two and location was excellent. Steve was very responsive and checked in to make sure all was good.

Our stay was perfection from beginning to end. The bungalow was well appointed and had everything we needed. Being able to park the car and walk most places was awesome, especially during a busy holiday weekend. Would definitely stay again!

This was the perfect spot for our anniversary getaway to Beaufort. The home is conveniently located in the heart of the historic district, yet set back just enough to provide privacy. We loved being able to sit on the front porch without feeling like we were on display. The house is cozy, but the layout is well thought out and feels very spacious inside, especially with that comfy king-sized bed. We weren't able to locate a welcome book with instructions, but Steve was friendly and quick to respond to any questions. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

This was such a perfect place to stay! The cottage had everything you would want for a great stay. The location was also perfect. We would stay here again in a heart beat!

Wonderful small house with beautiful landscaping,a mere stroll from Front St. Every amenity and convenience. Covered front porch with table and chairs for enjoying your morning coffee and/or evening refreshment. We were there the week before Easter and the flowering bushes throughout the neighborhood, were in full bloom. We were there for six nights and were blessed with mostly sunny skies and no rain for our whole stay. Pesky high winds the first few days limited beach time but walking the historic neighborhood and waterfront more than made up for it!Being so close to Front St was both a blessing and a bit less on weekends when the proximity to the night life may be less than ideal, but the music was good and over by 10pm,so no problem getting a good nights sleep. Tiny kitchen with every convenience but limited counter space for food prep. Not an issue if you take advantage of the dining options in easy walking distance. For a couple of geezer snow birds,it was the perfect early start to the splendor of SPRING...finally!!!

We loved sitting on the porch in the morning with our coffee and listening to the birds. This bungalow is close to shops, restaurants and ferries to the beaches. We enjoyed the compact, efficient space and all our needs were met.

Property location was walking distance to the town main amenities and restaurants.

This sweet little bungalow, though small, is so well-designed you immediately feel comfortable there. It’s right in the historic district, so an easy walk to the harbor, restaurants, and shops. Set back off the street, it also feels safe and secure. The property owner was responsive and concerned about my comfort. Added bonus: the king-size bed is really comfortable!

My partner and I just wanted a getaway, and this place was excellent. Communication with Steve was top-tier, and directions for the check-in and check-out, Wi-Fi information, and parking were clear and precise. We didn't have to move our car because everything was less than a block away. This bungalow is everything you need, and more for a couples getaway or just for yourself to have some time alone and reset. We will definitely be back! Thank you Steve

My husband and I loved this property. It was cozy and perfect. The proximity to Front Street can’t be beat. We will definitely be back and hope this place will be available.

We enjoyed our stay here at this cute little cottage. Its perfect for a couples getaway. The close proximity to town made it easy to enjoy all of the restaurants and shops. Steve the owner was quick to respond to our questions and requests. This place is really a gem and the only things holding us back from a total 5 star review are: the sewer smell that occured in one of the closets after using the shower. Sewer gas perhaps? Steve was working on this mystery when we checked out. The other thing was that the bathroom shower curtain was pretty dirty especially along the bottom and the wall and shelf in the bathroom need a good clean. Otherwise a great location, comfy bed, perfect size and nice owner. We love Beaufort and are hoping to return next year.

We had the most amazing time during our stay in Beaufort. The home is conveniently located within walking distance of wonderful food, shopping and the waterfront, while feeling private and secluded. This wonderful vrbo is hidden right in the heart of Beaufort NC. Restaurants, shopping & walking the waterfront are within 5 minutes or less. This was our second time renting it. The cottage was just a wonderful as the first time. Steve the owner is always available & easily accessible.

This was a cute retreat for the weekend. We loved the location and could walk all over. They included bikes which was so fun for us to ride around the town. Will definitely come back.
