Place was very nice and well worth the money if I had to complain it would be for difficulty finding location and the upstairs bathroom door was very difficult to open or close
The property its pretty, its over a hill so consider if you have kids or disabilities to move.
Bad experience, it really bother that the bed sheets were nasty with someone else hair on them. Coffee maker was filthy. The manager did respond to solve some issues.
We planned for our Christmas holiday two months ahead and we booked our cabin on November 8th. We were receiving a lot of emails from vrbo and renter during this time. At the night that we were about to get on our way I received an email which said there is some landscaping around the cabin which you can’t go to the river. As we got to the cabin we just realized that there is a construction going on at the cabin which it wasn’t mentioned on the email and it was totally different from what we saw at the pictures on the app. We booked this place for the view and terrace and we were not able to use it and it wasn’t safe at all to go outside. We were all packed and excited to enjoy our Christmas holiday and she just said sorry! We didn’t stay there and it was the worst Christmas holiday we experienced because of people who just think about the money!
The house was very difficult to find. When we arrived the back door was open. It was very dirty—one pillow had a boot mark where I was to lay my head! I had to clean the kitchen and bathroom before using them. Mice droppings in kitchen and 2 scorpions and roaches. The floors were very dirty— It was under construction and there were was construction clutter where I should have been able to sit on the patio. Definitely feel robbed of my money. Not even at half the price.
This place is absolute magic. My 3 friends and I stayed here for 3 days and were blown away by the beauty of this location and the house. The house looks more modern and “cold” in the photos. It felt very far from that. Super warm and inviting inside with awesome architectural features. Even the layout of the upstairs bathroom is so beautiful. There’s a creek to look down on below the balcony. We had our morning cacao out on the balcony in the mornings beneath the overhanging tree. Piano and jam sessions inside. Dancing and celebration in the open dining room and tv room. It is a fantastic space. Highly recommend (*friend approved)!
We a actually had a small event at this location. It is really a lovely home and a beautiful setting. Spotless and very comfortable. Our guests were very happy and I will never forget our stay at this lovely home.
The property manager allowed us to check in early which was nice but the place was not as it appeared on-line and certainly not worth the money. The pictures showed it right next to the river which it was but there was a very steep trail you had to traverse down and there was really no place to put chairs or a blanket. The place was left dirty, coffee in the pot and grounds left from previous use. There was urine on the side of the toilet, cabinets were dusty, bbq was dirty, outside was a mess, all the plants were dead. The spiral staircase was steep and dangerous, one of us hit our head, the upstairs was very old and beds were hard. The railing on the outside deck was wobbly, if someone was to fall in to it they would fall a very long way and could get hurt very bad. There was minimal lighting in the house, burned out bulbs and air conditioning were all wall units. The stove top was difficult to light and the ignitor for bbq outside was not working. We wanted a place so we could access the river to enjoy the water but it had too much vegetation and no beach area. The entire house and property has not been properly maintained for safety or comfort and we would not recommend it.
I was expecting a lot more based on the pictures and price. When we walked in there was a funny smell. Was also disappointed to see a campground right across the river. The house needed deep cleaned badly and the furniture was dirty so we couldn’t sit back and relax. Only bonus was the close proximity to restaurants and the entrance to sequoia national park. We were only at the house to shower and sleep. Wish we had gotten a hotel. Waste of money.
