Stayed Mar 28, 2026Our family loved this property. The outdoor area was amazing and we ate one dinner al fresco (there were mosquitos so next night without a breeze, we opted for inside). Our son loved the mini pool table. I would have loved a king sized bed in one of the rooms and maybe a table on both side of the bed (had to put glasses and water bottle on the floor), this would provide options for larger adults, but the rooms were comfortable and as described. Texted once or twice with the owner and they were very responsive. Would have like more silverware, but realized we never used the dishwasher so maybe more forks were there, but we never saw them! Oops! The oven was funky - very deep, not wide which threw me when I first saw the tray to make our garlic bread for dinner. Would have loved a place to prop tired feet while watching a movie - the dangers of 30k steps in one day at the park. The drive to Kings Canyon involved 1.5 hour drive along very twisty and windy roads, so be prepared if trying to visit both parks. Overall we LOVED staying here and would definitely recommend this place to others who want a gorgeous view and to be very close to the parks. Kids wanted to try out the rope swing into the river, but it was going very fast in the spring and a bit too dangerous for me! If this is available, I'd stay here!

Stayed Nov 26, 2025Charming property and great location for exploring the national park. Great communication and check in process. The kitchen is a bit small if you plan on cooking but there is plenty of space for a family of 5-6. Great river side backyard without a ton of river noise. Bring your own coffee setup if you're a serious coffee drinker but otherwise amenities are well appointed.

Stayed Jul 22, 2025Unfortunately, we didn’t realize when we booked the property, that the property was a duplex. We also didn’t realize the washer and dryer would be shared and located outside our unit. Ugh. Comfortable for short stays. Dated but retro nice. Water pressure is low and water temperature changes in the back shower kept you on your toes. Quick response from property management! Construction happening right next door. Beautiful views. Having the stream out your back door was awesome. All in All, must stay for convenience!!

Stayed Jun 29, 2025This retro house was perfect for our visit to the Sequoia National Park. The kids loved all the games and we loved the view of the river from the spacious deck. The host was extremely responsive and even provided restaurant recommendations nearby. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone planning a visit the Sequoia National park.

Stayed Jul 10, 2025Doesn’t get any closer to Sequoia National Park than this. Great view and great location. House is clean with plenty of room. AC units are a bit loud but even in the heat of summer it’s possible to cool bedrooms to allow the units to be turned off for the night.

Stayed Jun 11, 2025This home is definitely retro (some items frankly just old). That said it's a fun home and great for families. The location is scenic and extremely convenient, 2 minutes from Sequoia entry. The checking information and communication ahead of time regarding attractions, local shops/stores was extremely helpful. The check-in/checkout process was easy and the host was very responsive and insured we had everything we needed for our stay.

Stayed Jun 17, 2025Great location about a mile from Sequoia with a beautiful outdoor living space on the river as well as very fun retro decor on the interior! Beware of rodents etc though given proximity to the Sierras here. Unfortunately awoke to mouse droppings all over the kitchen table despite minimal in and out time at the home!! Owner quickly responsive and we also had a nice text from the house cleaner upon initial arrival. Overall a great stay, but be very mindful of limiting entry/exit time to keep pests out!!!

Stayed Sep 30, 2024We visited for three nights to go to Sequoia National Park & Kings Canyon National Park. This house is a few minutes from Sequoia entrance. Once you enter the park, you have approx a 45 min drive up the mountainside to get to the popular park sites. The kids enjoyed the duck and Simpsons video game inside. This listing is for half of a house. The other half is a separate listing. There is a shared washer/dryer that can be accessed by both sides of the house through the backyard. There were guests on the other side while we were there and it did not bother us. We only saw their car. Did not see or hear them.
