Updated 1940s Beach Bungalow - Very Short Walk to Ocean, Berts & Center St

We have stayed at many homes at the beach, but this was a perfect location, beautifully cared for and it was obvious that the owners had a flair for decorating. We felt at home from the moment we walked in. The kitchen had everything we needed and so much more. The host was very accommodating. I hope we will be back again.

The property is exactly as described, perfect location to the market/shops/beach. The house was very cozy and felt like a home away from home. The hosts were so so great and very easy to communicate with. Would 1000% stay here again with my friends or family.

Location! Location! If you are seeking a comfy place to stay, minutes from the beach, within a laid back beach community - look no further! House was adorable, all the amenities, steps from the public beach, market, shops, restaurants. Great hosts.

The house was the perfect place for us to spend the week in Folly. The location ideal for walking to the beach or to center street. The house was clean and inviting. Everything was well stocked and it felt like home for a week. The perfect vacation house. We can’t wait stay there again.

Just wonderful! The cottage was well-appointed, exceptionally clean and had that perfect beach-y vibe. The location is great - we’ve stayed on Folly a number of times and we really enjoyed being closer to the downtown area, while also still being steps from the beach. We would love to come back!

We loved our stay here. The property was very clean and well maintained. You can tell that the owners really put a lot of thought into the property - it was well-furnished and well-appointed - kitchen was well-stocked with cookware for whatever you might need to make. The house was cozy and comfortable - it honestly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend, would definitely stay again.

The house had easy access to the beach, was very clean, was decorated beautifully, and we really enjoyed all the “extras” that were included like kitchen items and cleaning supplies. The owners are lovely people and they send correspondence in a timely fashion. I recommend this adorable home and would stay here again.

Could not have asked for a better place to stay. The bungalow is cozy, clean, charming, and thoughtfully setup and convenient to everything. The owners are great hosts and responsive. Can't wait to come back :)

We planned this trip to visit our adult daughter living nearby. She stayed a couple of nights with us and we were all charmed by this beautiful cottage and its comforts. Also, the owners have it stocked with everything you would ever need! (toothbrush, curling iron, blow dryer, lotion, coffee, soaps, sunscreen, wagon,umbrella (came in handy during a heat wave), chargers, chairs and even condiments. Loved that it was an easy walk to everything but super quiet and peaceful. We also loved the outdoor shower. We look forward to returning to this little piece of paradise.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful chic bungalow. The place was spotless, so nicely updated and had a really perfect floorplan. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers and we all had our own space. The location was so perfect, just literally 5 minute easy walk to the beach. The photos don’t do this place justice, it has so much more space and charm than you see in the photos. Diane was so nice and communicative, responded quickly and was the perfect host. We will be back for sure!!

Great location to fishing and beach. Close to downtown Charleston

First time at Folly Beach and won’t be our last! We were a group of 5 women celebrating a 50th birthday. The cottage is so cute- we all wanted to live here forever!Perfect location, near enough to be walkable to the restaurants but far enough away that it was quiet. The path to the beach is right across the street. They supply chairs, sand toys, umbrellas, a beach wagon etc. Folly Beach itself is very clean and the ocean temp in early June was perfect for us New Hampshire cold weather dwellers. The cottage has literally everything you need. The beds are comfortable, a/c and ceiling fans and a well stocked kitchen. The showers have shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We did not use the outdoor grill or patio area but it’s there is you choose to stay in and grill. We lived our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again in the future. Our favorite places were The Lost Dog for breakfast- they even have a rainbow bridge for pets that have passed that is adorned with their collars. Taco Boy is a must- the freshest Mexican and super cool vibe. Blu at Tides hotel was very good for dinner. The Huli Huli chicken was amazing!If you love a good dive bar- check out The Bounty.

PERFECT! The house was amazing, and had everything our family of four needed and then some. The location was perfect, just a block from the beach in one direction and to our favorite restaurant in the other. The hosts were incredibly responsive to our every need. Probably the best VRBO experience we've ever had. Thank you!

Chris & Dianne’s bungalow is like no other. I’ve stayed at many Vrbos but nothing compares to their home. Their pride in ownership shows. Check in was seamless. Location: was excellent. Prior to booking I was concerned there may be noise due to the proximity to Bert’s, restaurants, bars and stores but that was not the case! Bert’s was less than a 2 minute walk. Close to the board walk (we saw so many dolphins)Bungalow: pictures are great in person is amazing!! We loved everything about it. We both felt like we could live there and wanted more time. The porch swing we a place for us to grab some quality reading and chatting time. The Edison lights on a timer was such a nice touch. Bedrooms are lovely and comfy. It was nice to have our own bathrooms too!!!Chris and Dianne thought of everything (forgot sunblock/aloe or cooler - they have you covered!) and very responsive with any questions or info they thought would be helpful. although we only had one day of no rain, their yard had so much to offer as well!I would 1000000% stay here again!! Side note, my sister and her family were down the street, she was very envious of our place So, if you’re looking for a getaway that has everything you need, close to the beach, calming atmosphere, look no further.

This property was perfect for our family of four. We stayed for a week and could not have been happier with the property and location. The bungalow was very clean and nicely appointed. The front porch was a wonderful spot for morning coffee. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were perfectly clean and ideal for a family of four on a beach vacation. The home itself was easily a 10 out of 10 for its cleanliness and amenities. The location can't be beat. It was just a two minute walk to the beach, about five minutes to Center Street, and Bert's is just a half block away. We didn't use our car for much of the trip. The hosts, Chris and Dianne, we great to deal with. Very friendly and accommodating, and truly concerned with our enjoyment of their property. They were responsive and kept in touch as needed during our stay. Highly recommend this property and these hosts. My family would absolutely book this property again.

Our family of four from NYC has the best visit to Folly Beach thanks to Dianne and her adorable cottage. Both are gems. Steps away from the most beautiful beach as well as kitschy shopping makes this perfect for fun beach days. Our weather was perfect - just like everything else. :)
