Longville, Minnesota
From the moment you arrive, you will not be disappointed. Step into the recently remodeled one-level home and you will see lots of up-north appeal. The large master suite has a vaulted cedar ceiling and a gas stone fireplace, and offers amazing lake views with french doors leading to the deck. Laying in the king sized bed, view the stars in the sky at night and the sunrise in the early morning. There is a master bathroom that has tile floor and shower, and granite topped double sinks. This room has satellite TV. Bedroom 2 is a large room that has two queen beds and also has a TV for watching movies or playing games . Bedroom 3 has a king sized bed, Bedroom 4 has a queen sized bed, and Bedroom 5 has a queen sized bed. The pine plank flooring flows throughout the open kitchen-dining and living room area. Through the living room french doors is a large 3 season lakeside porch that has a couch with a chaise and pull out bed. The porch leads to the large deck, where we enjoy the shade and lake breezes. The large lakeside yard is perfect for yard games; boccie ball and bean back toss are a couple of our family favorites.
The clear lake and great swimming area is forgiving of the elevation (approx. 36 steps to the lake). The elevation also allows for the amazing view and the gentle breezes on hot summer days.
The cabin was exactly as we expected it to be, beautiful! We had plenty of room for 9 adults and 2 children. The view from the master bedroom is stunning! The kitchen was well equipped to handle everything from a pancake breakfast to a chili cookoff. It would be fun to go in the summer so we could enjoy the lake!
This house was wonderful. We spent a weekend away with friends, including many young children. The house is well set up for kids with plenty of bedrooms, nice beds, and lots of outdoor area to run around. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. Would definitely go again!
The managers of this property thought of everything. They even spray for mosquitoes. Plenty of firewood. Lots of room. Even a porch for late night cards so we don’t bother the grandkids. We had 6 adults and 3 young kids and never felt crowded. The Loons sang us to sleep every night!!
Catch and nice sized bass and sun fish….but not this wonderful lake home! All the accommodations of home and more. Great communication and responsiveness with Linda the owner. Wheelchair accessible? My wife uses a wheelchair and it takes 2 steps to get into the home and then it’s barrier free. There are many but pleasant steps to the dock and our adult daughter would drive my wife to the public landing about five minutes away. I and my son-in-law would drive the pontoon to the public landing and allow my wife to get on the pontoon boat without having to navigate all the steps. A wonderful summer tradition for us! Thank you Linda!
The lake home is beautiful and roomy, and the location on Mule Lake is great! Our grandchildren, ages 1-6, had plenty of room to play, both inside and outside, and we like the level fire pit area. Fishing was good, too. We plan to return.
We have been coming to this property annually for about 3 years. We love the privacy, the clearness of the lake, and all of the amenities provided for us. It is always spotlessly clean, well equipped, and the owners are always welcoming and available for questions.
We very much enjoyed our stay and everything about the experience was top notch. Linda was great to work with and very accommodating. The cabin and property were very clean and offered plenty of space for our family. The rental pontoon was very nice and fishing was good!
This place is wonderful! Very clean and comfortable! We are already looking at our calendar to plan our next trip, and will definitely stay here.
We love coming to this property for the past two years, it's very peaceful. We would recommend this to anyone and it's only 10 mins from town if you forget something. We look forward to booking again next year.
we had 8 adults for a half week here and every thing at this place was quality. the beds felt great (2 kings and 3 queens,Nice); the kitchen was a good size and well appointed; the yard and lake were great and every thing was at least as good or better than the pictures. Highly recommend, thanks Linda
We had a wonderful stay- beautiful yard and lake. I could see the house feeling a bit small if you have a large group and bad weather, but we spent almost all of our time outdoors enjoying the fire pit, pontoon, and large yard. Would return!
We were returning for a 5th year because this home meets all our needs and expectations. It fits our family group very well and all of us look forward to the next time.
We had 10 people: 8 adults and 2 kids under the age of 4. We had a wonderful time around the fire ring, fishing on the lake, and eating at the dinner table. Linda was a great and communicative host and we would definitely stay again!
The house was perfect for our family of 12 (7 adults and 5 children). Plenty of room for the kids to roam and play. Linda was always quick to respond. Fishing was very good. We plan to return next year.
Vey nice house in great location.
Owners were so helpful and the accommodations were wonderful.
The mule lake cabin was perfect for our two families’ annual lake vacation - super clean - updated with modern touches - new do k and clear water. Lake tubing - kayaking - paddle boarding - swimming - and just laying in the sun reading! Owner great to work with - they really did think of everything! Had great Verizon service for our kid who needed to do some class work while we were there A so didn’t need internet. we will be back!!!
The cabin was clean and cozy with plenty of room for our crew: 5 adults and 3 children: twin 10-month-olds and a 2-and-a-half-year-old. Beds were comfy and kitchen had everything we needed as far as pans, dishes, knives, silverware, serving bowls, etc, and it had a center island so many could help with meal preparation and clean-up. For entertainment there was a basketball hoop with two balls and enough driveway for games of HORSE/PIG/lightning, a bocce ball set, a big dock for jumping into nearly-drinkable Mule Lake for a swim or lying in the sun or sitting in the sun on a couple of built in chairs, cards, games (e.g., Yahtzee, a cribbage board), Direct TV (e.g., sports/children's shows), and a tree house/slide/swing set. We rented the owner's pontoon and it was a perfect way to relax, as everyone in our crew could easily find a cushiony spot to take in the fresh lake air and lakeshore scenery. We saw and heard loons every day and saw what we thought was a bald eagle swoop down and snatch a fish from the lake right in front of the neighbor's cabin. Of note: The steps up from/down to the lake are a workout. We stayed 4 days and wished we could have stayed more!
Our family had a week stay with 8 adults, 1 child and infant. We were all comfortable and found plenty of activities; games and the lake to keep us busy each day. The week went by so fast as we had so much fun. It was a good place for our family to get together and plenty of room. The home is very roomy and well equiped with a large variety of cooking assessories for a large amount of people. We would definately return to this lakehome when looking for a place for all of our family to get together again. Everyone had a very relaxing vacation.
I used to come up to Mule Lake every summer as a kid. My dad did the same when he was younger. It was great to be able to have an opportunity to come back as an adult and relive some of those memories with my family. We had 8 at the cabin plus a 1.5 year old, and we had plenty of space. Direct access to the lake via private dock. If you're big into fishing, you can get 3 boats around the doc. We rented their pontoon and brought 2 boats of our own. Property is very modern with all the expected amenities, even a washer and dryer. Mule Lake Store is 1 minute away, and covers very basic groceries and anything fishing related you need. Longville is a small town 10 minutes away with access to more grocery needs, a couple restaurants, ice cream shop, and the popular turtle races on Wednesdays in the summer time (great for kids). Highly recommend this property if you're looking for a nice lake experience.
The cabin was clean and had plenty of space for accommodating many guests. Very peaceful lake was almost free of boat traffic during the week. Fully stocked with everything you’ll need from cooking supplies to games. Good fishing as well. Thank you!
Enjoyed our stay with great fishing, games and family time!! Very relaxing and plenty of room to move around.
Great place, too much mosquitoes to be outdoor.
