Imagine entering a private drive that takes you through the woods and over a bridge to your own sanctuary. Spread out across 15 acres and in a home with 4,800 square feet, southern facing exposure with expansive windows to let in all that sunshine, high end finishes, and whole tree architecture. Enjoy 360 views with nearly 3,000 feet of shoreline! Access crystal clear waters from a new dock and enjoy world class fishing on nearly three thousand acres on the Little Boy and Wabedo chain of lakes. If you're looking for a slower speed, take a lake tour in the provided sit-on kayak, sit-in kayak, and/or stand-up paddle board. Rainy day Enjoy a personal home theater + a massive rec room complete with a television, ping pong, pool table, and bar. All new furnishings as of spring 2022. This home has it all!
This home is easy to access from all major surrounding metropolitan areas. It is approximately 3 hours north of Minneapolis, 6 hours from Madison, and 9 hours from Chicago (majority of drive can either be interstate via Minneapolis or scenic via Duluth). We chose the location because of the balance between nature/relaxation and tourist activities (the more densely populated Gull Lake and Cross Lake areas are approx. one hour away). If you want peaceful seclusion but still have access to it all, this is the place for you!
PLEASE NOTE THAT PROFESSIONAL PHOTOS ARE FORTHCOMING. ADMITTEDLY WE ARE BETTER HOSTS THAN PHOTOGRAPHERS...THE PHOTOS SIMPLY DONT DO THE HOME JUSTICE BUT WE INVITE YOU TO SEE FOR YOURSELF.
The property is very private and has everything needed for all ages. It was a wonderful spot to getaway and relax. Property owner was very responsive and easy to work with. If your looking for a good size home up north on the lake with complete privacy, this is the spot!
This beautiful cabin with super cool log Architecture has plenty of space with really comfortable beds, fun game room away from those that want to sleep. A chill theatre room for those that want to catch a movie. An HDMI to I-Pad adapter is needed to watch Netflix or Amazon Prime movies. This is as private as it gets. We enjoyed some great fishing in this crystal clear lake with hard sandy lake bottom to go with the beach area. The owners are great too work with and they have the cabin stocked nicely with towels, bedding, soaps and shampoo/conditioner. Whoever selects this place will truly enjoy the privacy and comfort of home!!
Wow! This gorgeous home has it all- including it’s own island! Your cares just melt away while crossing the wooden bridge and driving through the woods to this remote getaway. The home is huge with everything you could possibly want. We were four couples with plenty of space to gather as a group or cozy up in a private nook. The beds we’re comfortable and spread out over three floors. Four bathrooms were easily shared. The large table and sofas offered plenty of seating. The outdoor patio and fire pit had ready seating for 8 which we really appreciated. The private dock was a peaceful place to relax and fish, kayak, star gaze and park a boat if desired. We especially enjoyed the nightly Loon chorus and Northern Lights! The kitchen has everything you’ll need for crowd sized cooking. The surrounding area was great for hiking, biking and visiting the popular Rendezvous Brew Pub in Hackensack. The house also boasts a theater room (!), pool table, ping pong and multiple large screen TVs for streaming movies or gaming. A cozy office with a computer and printer is also available. The large 3-car garage and 2 refrigerators provide ample storage. Deer, swans, owls, beavers snd Loons were some of the animals we enjoyed seeing. All in all, it was a perfect vacation for a multi-family group. The owners were responsive, kind and made everything easy for us. What a gem!
This home was the perfect getaway for our large group of friends and our kids to spend 4 days, 3 nights leading up to the new year! Ice fishing, snowmobiling, relaxing in the many entertainment rooms…it was just what we needed.
This house had it all and the owners communicated with so well before and during our stay. Eleven us stayed here for a week, from 9-80 years young. I can’t say enough how impressed we were the house and it’s amenities. Eric and his wife really are detail oriented and go above and beyond to be gracious hosts. From extra blankets, bug spray, paper towels, lake towels, coffee, cooking spices and so much more they really made their house feel like home. The property is absolutely gorgeous. It was lovely to go out to bird watch on the bridge. We kept seeing 2 bald eagles. By the house, on the bridge amd caching fish with the gulls. We rented a pontoon boat and fished everyday but we actually would have been fine without the rental. There was plenty of perch off the deck and full use of kayaks and a SUP. The water was refreshing and clean. Almost everybody got in and swam. We played ping pong and pool when we weren’t outside or playing one of many games Eric and Kim picked out. The kids loved competing in a trivial pursuit game. This was definitely the most well stocked FUN house we’ve rented. I can’t tell you how many games of Sorry we played. It really was awesome. The town has turtle races every Wednesday and it is seriously a Norman Rockwell experience not to be missed. If you rent, take the drive to the Green Scene for dinner. It’s about 35 min away. I had the best tenderloin of my life with an amazing cocktail. Thank you Eric and Kim. We were truly blown away by all the extra VRBO considerations you put into your home. Very grateful.
This is a beautiful and secluded property. Lots of amenities. Appliances are amazing and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. Game room was a good hangout spot. Theater room is comfortable with nice protector and sound. Lake was clean and plenty of fish. If looking to get away from the busyness of life this is a great place to do it. Kayaks and paddle board was nice to have available.
Our family stayed at this lake home in late June/early July 2022. The home is beautiful and we had plenty of room for our entire family. The home was clean and the pictures don't do it justice. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would ever need for food preparation and serving (lots of plates/glasses/silverware/coffee mugs). The beds were extremely comfortable. Having a theatre room in the basement was cool, but we ended up using it only once. On the other hand, everyone enjoyed the game room on the main level above the garage. The pool table and ping pong table were used almost every night and it was nice to have something else for entertainment when it rained. The property is quiet and secluded and the lake wasn't very busy during our late June stay. The dock was great (especially the large platform at the end) and we had plenty of room to tie up our 17 ft fishing boat and still have use of the dock. We used the complimentary kayaks and paddle board and caught a lot of fish (walleye, northern, largemouth bass, panfish) during our stay. My father-in-law appreciated the separate flat path from the driveway to the dock since the stairs down to the dock would have been difficult for him. Eric (owner) was extremely responsive and the checkin and checkout process was smooth. Overall, our family had a great week and look forward to renting again in the future.
Our stay was fantastic. Great amenities with the rec room and the theatre room-kids and adults had a blast! Host was available to answer questions. It was secluded, quiet, and right on the water! Lots of room for all 3 families to be together and spread out into own space when necessary. Great vacation spot!.
