Unwind by the Water - property 35 minutes to the French Quarter

This place was amazing! The sunrise views were fantastic! The location is great, 20 mins to Slidell and 30 to the French Quarter. Quiet little community and right on the water.

The property was fantastic with beautiful morning views on the spacious back porch! The interior was beautifully decorated with plenty of space for the family. 10/10!

Property was just as advertised. Short distance from all the attractions but with a feeling of being very remote. The ability to fish, walk the dog and go to the French Quarter all in day. I couldn't have asked for a better vacation. I would recommend that everyone do this at least once ,but there's no way you can do everything in one vacation.

This was such an amazing property. The host was very helpful in our stay. We caught a ton of fish. Great spot for fishing and relaxing. Caught a good variety if fish. I would highly recommend this for a couples getaway or family trip. The property is very accommodating for children and pets. Beautiful house, very clean, and comfy. Will definitely be back very soon!!!

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the relaxing scenery. House was excellent.

The porch offers a peaceful view of the water and sunrises and sunsets. Wind kept biting bugs away. It takes more like 40 minutes to drive to the French Quarter but worth it to have best of both worlds—a taste of New Orleans and the peace and quiet of the lake. A few minor suggestions for enhancements: add some hooks or towels racks to both bathrooms. Provide cushions for the plastic porch furniture.

Very spacious house with amazing views from all sides! Huge corner lot made for great fishing and outdoor play for the kids. Nice open floor plans with big bedrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!!

We had a fabulous stay at the Blue Heron house. Plenty of room for 6 adults. Owners were very responsive to any questions we had. Caught fish right out front! It was nice to be in a quiet area with New Orleans about 30 minutes away. Being between Lake St Catherine and Lake Pontchartrain awarded us with beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Came to explore the region - nice to decompress outside the city after a day of sightseeing

We had a wonderful New Years with the family

My Husband, Mom, Sisters, Brother, Nieces and Nephews were all available to finally celebrate thanksgiving after a couple years of just being busy This house was great. We did have a small ant problem, but has a New Orleans Native i know that in this setting ants and mosquitoes come with the territory. The kids fished, and had a nice front yard space to play in. If you plan on coming to this home with small ones you must be super vigilant because you are definitely at the waters edge. We saw rabbits, a couple of 12 foot alligators, and heard toads that sound like goats. Overall this was a fishermans paradise (my husband and i promised to teach the kids how to fish) and i enjoyed sharing this hidden gem of New Orleans with my family.

Beautiful property for a family getaway! The view off the back porch was incredible. The house is spacious and clean. We really enjoyed our stay!

Annual visit with sons and grand children. This property was perfect for 9 of us. The host was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The views were spectacular. We fished and played football in the spacious yard. We are cconsidering this property for next year.

The property fit most of our needs. We had several families gather to visit. The only thing that would have been nicer would be a bathroom downstairs. Otherwise the property was great.

We had a great time until Mother Nature pushed in the waves and tide. Definitely recommend this property
