Unplug and reconnect at a kiwiana bach - 2020 finalist Bach of the year awards

Very relaxed atmosphere and made to feel welcome by owners. Loved that our dogs were welcome too.

Tidy and love the rooms as well. The fireplace was fantastic, lite the fire Friday night was cosy and warm. And family freindly.

Real kiwi bach, cool kiwiana, lovely garden great for the dog, comfy sofas to lounge in and read in front of the log burner. And great value.

It was fantastic to be able to take the family and dog and have some good old fashion fun. Loved the decor and vibe of Pam's Place, as well as the fact it was easy to keep warm and easy to clean ready for the next guests. Gluten free options at the takeaway just up the road was a real treat for our coeliac daughter also.

It was lots of fun staying at the Bach, the place itself helps you to unwind and relax. Be prepared to clean up after yourself.

Thank you Al & Nadine, a lovely cute bach! we had everything we needed for a great stay. Clean, cosy and comfortable. Great that our dog could come along too, and really good to have a fully fenced yard. Lovely beach walks and fresh fish & chips from Mr Grumpy’s, fab coffee at Ginger Ninja coffee house. A great weekend spot.

The weather didnt play ball unfortunately we left a day early due to the storm.

The bach is comfy, cosy and has everthing you need. Its a perfect get away if you want to connect with your teenagers. The double bunk bed squeaks but Nadine is now aware of it and is going to remedy it.Nadine and Alan are fabulous to communicate with!Would thoroughly recommend Pams Bach

Fantastic place that oozed classic kiwi bach charm. We really enjoyed our stay. It was comfy and had everything we needed. Really appreciated the large, fully fenced section, my 2 little dogs loved exploring it. Also close to sunset walkway which was a nice place to take a stroll with them. Very dog friendly. Would recommend.

Great place to stay, everything you need, excellent hosts

This is a lovely Bach with everything we needed, ideally located to explore the beach and bird estuary.

Great 3 day stay here. Loved that we could bring our dog too. Comfortable beds, great location for fishing/parks and shops close by.

This is a good old kiwi batch, clean and tidy. Plent of space. Fully fenced is great for kids to be safe. The kiwiana is fun and a nice touch.

Was as clean as you’ll ever get at an old style Bach! And was so nice to be able to take our dog on holiday with us!

The bach was clean and well supplied. Plenty of wood for the fire which we used. Our small dog was happy there -fenced property and a dog bowl outside for water.

The messages from the hosts were lovely and welcoming. The batch is so homely. Brilliant stay!

Perfect place to relax and handy to everything

Bach exactly as described. Great to find somewhere so welcoming to pets and with a lovely big garden for the dogs. Nadine contacted us by text after we'd arrive to check everything was ok which was a nice touch.

What a fabulous bach. Back to the simple life of no internet and no tv. Just what the doctor ordered. Lovely and quiet. Close to the beach. Could even take the dogs. We will be back! Thank you for letting us stay

3rd time staying, love this place!

This place does exactly what it says on the tin, it's a very bach-y batch, where you can disconnect from the world and reconnect with your whanau. No TV, no WiFi, just a place to chill, play games, read a book and warm yourself by the fire. It's not the fanciest, and would be quite a squeeze if you filled all the beds, but great for a family. Could probably do with a dining table inside the house, but the breakfast bar is fine for up to four people.

Well represented in the description of property online- spacious and was great for 2 older female friends and small dog. Everything you need for a great hassle free stay with lots of thoughtful extras like loads of rugs and blankets and board games puzzles etc . Having no wifi was perfect in enabling us to unwind from the internet world.

25 Shortt Street might be old but it was a delightful place to unwind. It had everything we needed including modern appliances and warm comfortable beds. It is walking distance to the beach, the esplanade, a dairy, takeaways, and a short drive from other places to visit. We will be back!

Lovely basic nz bach, totally delivered. Good location, very close to river with wild life a plenty. The beach is a short drive away. Great communication with owners, will definitely stay again.

Love this place; lots of nice changes since we were last there pre-COVID. We both needed a rest and it was perfect. The Estuary is stunning. Thank you. We’ll be back soon.

Nice to have space for the whole family. Plenty of space and beds for everyone. The location makes it easy to get to the beach, local four square and cafe. Not too far from Levin for more amenities and Palmerston is just a drive away.

Just as its described. Nothing fancy but is perfect for an unplugged holiday

I’ve had the pleasure of staying here before and this time, I came with family and two dogs. It’s a comfortable stay, very homely and being able to bring the two dogs is a huge bonus. Location is great, lots of great options for dog walks nearby. I’ve been raving about this place since my last visit about 6 years ago and I’m glad I had the opportunity to return. No doubt it won’t be the last time.

Shouldn't use the 2020 finalist of bach of the year awards. This does yend to make you think the place is nicer than it is. Needs smoke alarms Needs some simple building work completed to be air tight and havr the lounge slider functioning without the use of a stick as a lock.
