Unique house and property-private beach access-availability in June & September

This home is a rare Nantucket gem! It is the perfect combination of updated (baths, new outdoor shower and A/C) with all the comforts of home in a fully stocked, well appointed kitchen, but also retains the historic charm of old Nantucket. The location was ideal for us; close to town but out of the fray offering quiet and relaxation. The property is private with a terrific beach between Steps and Dionis and a great yard. The house manager was extremely helpful and very responsive. Overall this house and experience was a 10/10. We have been vacationing on the island for 20 years and overall it is our favorite home EVER. We feel lucky to have had the privilege to stay at Hallowell House.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here on Nantucket! The house was exactly as described with plenty of room for 6 adults to spread out & be together. We enjoyed our morning coffee with mesmerizing views of the Atlantic from the living room w/expansive windows. Evening barbecues on the terrace offered incredible sunsets we will never forget.The house was extremely well stocked with everything you could want in a beach house. It even had a ice cream maker! The renovated baths were a nice feature as was the central a/c but we rarely used it. Our only criticism is the outdoor shower is not enclosed.’We would definitely stay here again! Alison was wonderful, very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable beach vacation!

A charming house with a lot of character. We spent most of our days on the beach below the house. There is a sandbar that extends quite far out into the ocean and kept the water surprisingly calm. Great for kids. Getting into town was incredibly easy. If we had one complaint it was that there was a new large house (currently under construction) that obstructed the view a bit. Overall we would highly recommend it for a family.

This is our second year in a row staying at Seaward and hoping to continue for many years to follow as this is the most incredible setting for our family. We LOVE it here and couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. From the late night puzzles in the cozy living room to the lazy dinners on the back porch as we watch the sun set, to the absolutely glorious beach (with gentle waves for our young kids) that is right in the back yard, to the easy bike ride into town and proximity to everything. An absolute gem and space to create the memories that we cherish most!

This house is the quintessential nantucket house for a family vacation. It was the perfect location and setup for our three small children. The beach in front of the house is gorgeous and extremely private. It's a short bike ride into town but also close enough that we never had more than a 5 minute wait for an uber if we wanted convenience. The house is very well done and has a true sense of place.

The house is warm and welcoming. The setting the best on the island. We had a spectacular stay!
