Characterful Granite Farmhouse, only 150 meters from Porthmeor Beach. Once the farmhouse to the surrounding fields, this property has been in family ownership for 100+ years. 4 Bedrooms (sleeps 7) & 2 Bath/Shower rooms. A really unique house with lovely secluded garden and parking. A new kitchen and woodburning stove have been lovely additions for 2022 season.
Location is great, just a couple of minutes walk from Porthmeor Beach and Tate St Ives, and with the Harbour less than 10minute walk. If you like quirky, this is the property for you. The porch leads to hallway with lounge to left, with wood burning stove, and dining room to right, followed by kitchen to back of the house. Kitchen (new kitchen 2022) with Range, Belfast sink, American fridge/freezer with ice making facility, and dishwasher. From the Kitchen the back door leads to a partly covered Courtyard with the second shower room, with shower, basin and w/c. Also great when returning from beach to remove sand. Lovely large private, secluded garden with a decked area, to enjoy the last sun of the day. Several seating areas, with lawn , bamboo, & palm trees. A tropical feel, that children are going to love. From hallway up the stairs to bath/shower room, basin, w/c. Master bedroom with super king bed and glorious views over the roof tops across St Ives Bay. Three further bedrooms, one with king size bed, one with zip & link singles 3ft each, and final small bedroom with 3ft single. Maximum occupancy 7, in four bedrooms. All bedrooms have smart t/vs. Parking for 3 cars at most and unlimited Superfast broadband. Washing machine & tumbledryer located in Courtyard. Cot and highchair supplied. Please note during school holidays this property lets on a weekly basis, Saturday to Saturday, and 3 night minimum stay between Easter and November considered outside of school holidays.

    We had a wonderful stay at the Farmhouse! The location was walking distance to town and beach as stated. Beautiful kitchen and comfy beds:). Will stay again when back in St Ives!

    We have a great holiday in St.Ives and once again stayed at Ayr Farmhouse which is in a great location for the beach and town. I would recommend it to anyone with a family looking for spacious accommodation, a garden and easy parking (something rare in St.Ives)

    The Ayr Farmhouse was a perfect home for our group of 7 family and friends over Easter weekend. The rooms were large, clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Liz was lovely and helpful and we hope to be back!

    We had a very enjoyable three night family stay between Christmas and New Year. Ayr Farmhouse was ideally situated both for St Ives itself and also for the far west of Cornwall. The house was warm and cosy with plenty of room for the six of us. The beds were extremely comfortable and we would like to return during the summer months at some point in the future. The garden looked lovely even in winter.

    Lovely place. The master bedroom was excellent and the description failed to mention the fabulous view from the master. Kitchen very communal and the gardens was just what we wanted and is a hidden gem for this location in St Ives. Thank you Liz

    Nice size property close to the beach. It is at the top of a hill so legs got a good workout. We found the farmhouse had what we needed for a weeks stay and thankfully had parking too. The garden is lovely with plenty of room to sit out plus the bbq was great too. Useful having the ground floor bathroom for a family of six as well as the upstairs one. Kitchen well appointed although oven took some getting used to. TVs in every room was more than expected and decent Wi-Fi was useful as we struggled with this around St Ives. Parking was tricky but ok once we got used to it- space for two cars but takes some manoeuvring. Had a lovely week.

    Perfect set up for our family visit. Great location right near everything, especially the beach. Lots of room. Beautiful and spacious backyard. Great kitchen. Liz was a great host. Highly recommend.
